I really enjoyed my stay here. It's walking distance to Smith spots and also Northampton, and the staff was very nice and pleasant. The rooms looked recently renovated, hallways smelled nice and fresh, the sheets were nice, and bed was comfortable. I slept very well there. Room had a mini-fridge and there was a microwave downstairs in the kitchen. They also had a complimentary breakfast with yogurt, avocado toast, muffins and coffee. Overall I feel it was a nice place to stay in town while I visited some friends.

Apr 21, 2025 · NYCAnother lovely visit. We’ve stayed here at least a dozen times since our daughter started at Smith and we love it. Rooms are clean with comfortable beds. Breakfast is lovely. The staff are so friendly and welcoming. The lobby, with its giant fireplace, is very cozy. The Ellery feels almost like a second home to us!
Feb 16, 2025 · Jim WilsonMy partner and I stayed at the Ellery for one night over the winter, and we lived every minute of it. The staff was courteous and helpful, our room was huge and clean (it even had a Roku). It snowed overnight and the lobby was super cozy with a fire going, and the breakfast was delicious, fresh and healthy. Major points for offering vegan and gluten-free options! All around a great stay.
Feb 18, 2025 · CJ HughesThis is our second time staying at the Ellery and both experiences have been excellent! The rooms are very clean, cozy, comfortable, and welcoming. The staff is always friendly on the phone and in person. The location is within walking distance to downtown, Smith College, and whatever you may need.
Jan 23, 2025 · Amalia Pearce4.5 stars, rounding up to 5. This is a lovely and adorable place, all the comforts of a modern hotel/motel but with the feel and look of a country cottage. Clean, comfortable, safe location that was easy to find and access. Loved that the room had Roku and that I could access my Netflix and Hulu accounts with the promise that I'd be signed out upon checkout. Staff is lovely and helpful. The only reason I'd give this place 4.5 instead of 5 stars is honestly it felt a bit pricey for what it was. For what I paid I expected the complimentary breakfast to be a bit more substantial and/or for the room to have more amenities, but overall I have no complaints and would stay here again.
