We stayed here for 2 nights to visit the Emily Dickinson Museum in nearby Amherst. This hotel is quite new, barely 5 to 6 months in operation and everything feels fresh, modern, and thoughtfully designed. For about $180–$185 USD per night, we felt that we got excellent value. This is not just a hotel room, it’s a fully equipped suite. The space included a large bed, a couch, a big flat-screen TV with premium channel options and upcoming show/movie previews, and a walk-in closet. We were genuinely surprised by how complete the amenities were: full-size refrigerator, microwave, stovetop, dishwasher, dish soap, plenty of cookware, plates, and even a Scrub Daddy. You could easily cook meals here if needed. The only thing missing was a bathrobe, which was a bit surprising for a suite of this level, but otherwise, the room lacked nothing. The bathroom was also large and accessible (we were in the accessible suite), and there were no issues at all. Everything was clean, spacious, and functional. Other highlights: • Free unlimited parking with a large lot. • Free daily breakfast with rotating options (eggs, sausage or bacon), bagels, bread, cereal, waffle station, juices, milk, and coffee, light but customizable enough to make it filling. • Friendly and helpful front desk staff • Excellent location if you have a car. It’s close to essentials and attractions like the Dickinson Museum, but public transport isn’t as accessible since it’s in a suburban area. On a personal note, this hotel will always hold a special place in my heart because I got engaged during this trip. We were honestly tempted to extend our stay. I just hope the hotel management can maintain the quality and service as it is now, because it’s truly a gem. Rating: 5 out of 5. Highly recommended!

This objective introduction will provide a detailed overview of its environment, services, features, and promotional information, based on comprehensive guest reviews and publicly available online data.

The environment of TownePlace Suites Hadley Amherst is characterized by its newness and contemporary design. Having been in operation for only a few months at the time of some reviews, the hotel maintains a "fresh, modern, and thoughtfully designed" feel. The interior décor leans towards a "modern euro-feel" with a palette of "grays and whites" and "Ikea type furniture," contributing to a clean and stylish ambiance. It is described as a "brand new facility" with "all the amenities," offering a welcoming residential environment. The hotel is situated in a suburban area of Hadley, which, while offering "excellent location if you have a car" due to its proximity to essentials and attractions, also means that public transport might be less accessible. The property features a "large lot" with "free unlimited parking," a significant convenience for guests with vehicles. The overall atmosphere aims for a "cozy and hassle-free stay," providing a comfortable base whether for a night or an extended period. The lobby and common areas are designed to be inviting, fostering a sense of home away from home.

In terms of services, TownePlace Suites Hadley Amherst offers a comprehensive package designed to enhance the guest experience, especially for extended stays. A key service highlight is the "free daily breakfast with rotating options," which typically includes eggs, sausage or bacon, bagels, bread, cereal, a waffle station, juices, milk, and coffee. Guests generally find it "light but customizable enough to make it filling" and "good," though one review noted issues with coffee and hot water availability at times. The hotel also ensures "coffee and tea out all day," a convenient amenity for guests. The "friendly and helpful front desk staff" are consistently commended for their courteousness and assistance. For connectivity, complimentary Wi-Fi is available throughout the property and in rooms. Guests have access to a "24-hour fitness center" and an "indoor pool," with the latter described as "nice small, warm pool," though it can get "very loud." Laundry facilities are available on-site, including guest laundry and dry cleaning services (Monday-Friday). The presence of a "24-hour business center" with a public computer and fax/copy services caters to business travelers. A notable and unique service feature is the availability of a "big grill" (Weber® BBQ setup) out front for guest use, promoting a home-like experience. For added convenience, the hotel offers a "24-hour In-a-Pinch® market" and "On Us® coffee service." Pets are welcome, though a fee is required. The features of TownePlace Suites Hadley Amherst are centered around its well-equipped suite-style accommodations, designed for comfort and self-sufficiency. Each room is described as a "fully equipped suite," not just a hotel room. These spacious suites typically include a "large bed," a "couch," a "big flat-screen TV with premium channel options," and a "walk-in closet." The most distinguishing feature is the "fully equipped kitchen," which includes a "full-size refrigerator," "microwave," "stovetop," and "dishwasher," along with essential kitchenware like "dish soap," "plenty of cookware," "plates," and even a "Scrub Daddy." All 77 rooms are air-conditioned and offer amenities such as coffee/tea makers, hair dryers, irons, ironing boards, and safes. The "Home Office™ Suite" design provides guests with storage and flexible space for working or spreading out. Connecting rooms and free cribs/infant beds are available upon request, catering to families. The overall interior design elements, including modern electronic connectors, contribute to the contemporary feel. Recreational features include the indoor pool and a fitness center. The hotel also has meeting rooms for business functions, with one accommodating up to 30 people. Room sizes vary, with a Queen Studio at approximately 463 sqft and a Studio King Room with a Non-Private Sofa Bed at 345 sqft. The hotel is noted for its "very comfortable beds" and "nice little kitchenette."

From a promotional standpoint, TownePlace Suites Hadley Amherst leverages its status as a "new hotel," offering a fresh and modern experience. Guests consistently perceive it as providing "excellent value" for the price, especially considering the comprehensive suite amenities. The "free hot breakfast buffet" is a significant promotional point, adding tangible value to the stay. Its strategic location is heavily promoted, being "just steps from UMass Amherst, Amherst College, Hampshire College, Smith College, and Mt. Holyoke College," making it an ideal choice for visitors to the Five College community. Proximity to attractions like the Emily Dickinson Museum, the National Yiddish Book Center, the Eric Carle Museum of Picture Book Art, and Look Park is also highlighted. The pet-friendly policy is another key promotional feature, appealing to travelers with furry companions. Marriott's branding and loyalty program further enhance its appeal to members. Positive guest testimonials, like "highly recommended!" and calling it "truly a gem" and "best hotel in the area," serve as powerful word-of-mouth promotion. The focus on providing a "home-like" experience through fully equipped kitchens and spacious suites differentiates it from standard hotels in the "Hotels Near Of Me" category, attracting guests seeking comfort and convenience for both short and extended stays. The property’s grand opening in March 2025 further underscores its newness and readiness to welcome guests with top-notch facilities.

Nice place for what it is. It's an extended stay hotel. Brand new. They are still working out the quirks that comes with any new hotel, but I expected that. Nice small, warm pool. Gets very loud in there so be aware. They kept coffee and tea out all day, but they ran out of hot water at one point. Breakfast seemed complete, though we did not really eat. I did have some juice and coffee. Both were good. The room itself was really nice, with very comfortable beds and a nice little kitchenette. Very modern euro-feel all around at this property. Grays and whites, and Ikea type furniture with all the modern electronic connectors. They gym looked nice too, though I did not get a chance to use it. They also have a big grill you can use out front. Overall I liked this place, and I'm happy to be the first review. Whoo hoo! Good luck. It's a great spot to visit any of the 5 colleges.

Brand new hotel with spacious, spotless rooms and super friendly service. Breakfast was what you’d expect from a chain hotel. Prices were high but there was an event in town.
