The stay here was pretty much ideal! Faith, one of the fantastic staff members, went above and beyond helping us adjust our arrangements—more times than I care to admit—as plans kept shifting (as they do when someone’s in labor). We were scrambling to find a place on short notice before my partner’s niece was born, and her kindness made all the difference. The ambiance is incredible, the rates are reasonable, and the rest of the staff were just as lovely. Also, it’s so beautiful there! I can’t wait to come back purely for the pleasure of it.

Apr 15, 2025 · Cayla SavitzkyThe Hotel Northampton is absolutely amazing. The staff, the service, the entire vibe was incredible. The Wiggins Tavern will not disappoint with their awesome Brunch layout. You will not walk away hungry. We hit Coolidge Park Cafe Saturday for a night cap after roaming downtown. The bartenders and waitstaff went above and beyond, as they surprised my girlfriend with a nicely decorated birthday plate and pastry. Thank you for that. Our room, #300, offered a great view, and one could only imagine how spectacular it would be in the Fall. We will return to The Hotel Northampton again this year, with plans to stay in one of the Gothic Garden rooms.
Mar 24, 2025 · HD04FXDINice old hotel (that's the point), rooms were fresh and very clean. Bathrooms were spotless. I personally reserved 2 rooms and they were consistently good. Negatives are minor, not enough drawers, maid service late in the day, checkout time was 11 and very inflexible (threatening a whole night bill if gone over time) I would stay again.
May 07, 2025 · Robert ChamberlainThe hotel has its charm and cleanliness going for it, but the check-in process was frustratingly slow, even though the agent was friendly. After that initial contact, communication was non-existent. The prices are very steep, especially given the lack of no amenities. Offering complimentary coffee would be a simple yet appreciated touch, as the one-cup coffee maker in the room is undrinkable. I also found it rather off-putting that the hotel outlined what I could and couldn’t bring to my room; it didn’t feel very welcoming upon arrival. Be cautious when booking with this hotel; it doesn't follow the typical standards you might expect. I would not book again when back in the area.
Feb 02, 2025 · Joshua SI just completed a very nice three night stay at this marvelous hotel. If you're looking for a Ramada Inn or even a Marriott experience then this is not an ideal spot for you. However if you wish to be transported to a time of style and grace then pack your bags for Hotel Northampton! Attention to detail is everywhere; my room was spotless and comforting. The restaurant food was excellent and reasonable. The staff pleasant and professional in a home-town kind of way. The location is ideal as is Northampton itself. The lobby will blow your mind ! I give three cheers to the owner and staff for making this Connecticut resident feel at home and well taken care of .
