We had an okay time at the graylyn estates. This was the start of our honeymoon trip where we stayed for 2 nights and we were put in the Mews. Mind you we had just driven 4 hours to get there after our wedding, and we had several boxes of wedding food our caterers packed for us… thinking we could eat the next day…the Mews doesn’t have refrigerators… or microwaves, so we had to throw away those boxes of our wedding food. The door to get in the rooms is like 4 feet high, so forget carrying your bride over the threshold (if you’re traditional like us.) Before we booked our stay at Graylyn, my husband spoke with someone over the phone and asked if we could see a picture of where we were staying and the associate said they were unable to do that. So we had no expectations of what our room would look like or what we were paying that much money for. The pictures online were beautiful, but the room we stayed in is not advertised anywhere on the website. Everyone on the property that we encountered was nice, but we laugh now about how under whelming our time was at the Graylyn Estates. We would do things differently if we ever visit again.

Jun 08, 2025 · Darby RollerMy husband and I have just returned from a 5 day stay at Graylyn Estate Hotel in Winston Salem NC. It was outstanding! The food, service and accomodations were wonderful. A friend and I were given a tour of the home by Thaddeus Beaman, Estate Butler. He did a magnificent job of showing the home and telling us stories of the family and history of this beautiful property. If you have the opportunity to go, please ask Mr. Beaman to give you a tour. You will certainly enjoy it as you learn so much about this gorgeous home. Caroline Miller
Apr 13, 2025 · Carol MillerWe were blown away with the beauty of this estate. We are visiting the Wake Forest Law school with our son and stayed the night here. Not nearly long enough. The grounds are stunning.. like being at an old English country manor. Our room was warm and comfortable with one of the best showers we’ve had in any hotel. Breakfast we served in an elegant dining area and the food was excellent. Plan to spend a day just wandering around the estate as there is so much to see.
Feb 24, 2025 · Eric LiebmanMy 2 night stay at The Graylyn Estate was superb in every way. This Estate has a remarkable historical background and now made its way to a high quality resort located on a large area of land in proximity to the Wake Forest university. I stayed at one of the renovated rooms and found it very comfortable and clean. Every room in this hotel is unique and aesthetically pleasing. Their food was well made and the service was unbeatable. There is free ice cream and fresh made cookies to add to the experience. You can also take one of their bikes to enjoy the outdoors or go to Wake Forest campus.
Jan 01, 2025 · Khaled RobaidiStayed here on our honeymoon years ago with the master room with the 1000 shower heads. Very nice. But touring the rest of the grounds is worth it as well. The architecture and the available rooms for small conferences are great. Lots of ice cream places on the premises and you will see people walking the grounds all day.
