Don’t do it! I lived in unit 601 for 2 years. My lease ended January 2025. Three-fourths of the time I lived at The Howard I had a rodent issue. Management attempted to gaslight me to cover up the issue instead to rectifying it. There were times when my unit had the distinct odor of decay and management would walk in and deny smelling anything. There were other times when my fire alarm would randomly emit at 3:00 AM and would be told there’s nothing wrong. It was a truly horrific experience. Additionally, please note that there are no amenities at this price point. The description is a bit deceptive as the washer/dryer is located in the hallway and shared with the tenants on the floor. They really care about their tenants and go the extra mile to ensure that problems are resolved in a timely manner, and in my experience, always to the benefit of renter. It’s almost like owning a condo with no worries. Can’t say enough about these guys!

Can access this location directly off exit while everything else is blocked off during that time. Which allows you to obviously walk up a block to the main parade route. French quarter in walking distance. Nice quality appliances in apartment. Small community, only 2-3 apts per floor. Amazing rooftop view. Just a couple of blocks from smoothie king arena and Super Bowl. Have had good run of property managers. Last one lived in the building which was nice for off hour emergencies and appreciating/addressing building issues in real time. New property manager Bethany seems to be truly passionate about her job and providing residents with the experience as advertised.
Jun 28, 2024 · Vironka DavisWhat do I love about The Howard the most? The view. Going up to the roof after a long day to watch the sunset over the city I love is a great way to end my day. Going up to the roof at sunrise to watch the new day come and the city wake up is something not many residents of New Orleans get to experience but I get to do it whenever I want. The fact that I can park my car in the heart of the city and KNOW it is safe, while I travel with the streetcar or have a short walk to where I want to go in the city is vital and almost unheard of in New Orleans. Most of the time you have to compromise and get one or the other, but not at The Howard. Living at The Howard also means I can be a part of Mardi Gras without being blocked from my home with all the road closure, but also having an easy walk to the main parade routes. If you’ve been to Mardi Gras in New Orleans you know street closures can get really frustrating while trying to navigate the city. I love The Howard for so many reasons, but knowing I’m in the city with only a few residences in my building makes my home quiet and quaint in a city that never sleeps!
