The hotel is conveniently located to the convention center and about a 10 minute walk to the French Quarter. The hotel was beautiful and very safe as you need the key card to come into the hotel late at night and to use the elevator as well. We had breakfast there there two days and it was delicious It was a good price. The room itself was beautiful and clean and was always well maintained by the maids. The refrigerator was a little small, but you could request another refrigerator. If you had more things that you had a store. The one issue I had with our stay there was the shower. It was very aggressive. It hurt to take a shower. The stream was so strong That was insulting at times. It was the worst shower I have ever been in. The coffee situation in the room is also weird. They only give you one regular cup of coffee and one decaf but as soon as I asked for more, I got plenty just a heads up. If you are coffee drinker, you need to ask right away for more coffee. All of that said I would go back to this hotel. The staff was very friendly and it was very clean and felt very safe the entire time.

May 01, 2025 · Bridget AlessiJust wanted to compliment the Valet’s Ashton and James.. they were the friendliest, most helpful and left a wonderful impression. While every employee, especially in the hospitality industry, should exhibit excellent customer service, the most important are the ones on the front lines, the ones he greet and see the guests first and last. Thank you to the housekeeper who saved me from losing my favorite pillow! The room was nice, although the toilet was super loose and the seat as well, which was a bit of a shock the first time I sat down. Appreciated the free drink tickets.. When we went to the bar we waited way too long for service... Long enough we got up and asked if there was a bartender. All in all it was a good stay. Ashton and James earned the 4th star.
Apr 20, 2025 · Katherine DibelloLocation is great, employees were friendly from front desk, to bar, to bellman, to doormen. One downside was the layout of each floor which was for lack of a better explanation, in the shape of an unfinished square. You get off the elevator and it's a series of left turns. Unfortunately our room was on the other end of the square from the elevator. So when booking, I recommend asking for a room near the elevator bank. Editing to add: WARNING of added fees - was not aware of a $25 per day 'destination fee' until I checked out and asked for a receipt! Beware!!
Jun 10, 2025 · Maggie SAwful experience. Upon check in, we were told we had a riverfront room. This was untrue. We made the reservation in November and when we checked in on March 27th, the price had gone up due to a change in management. They didn’t even tell us the price had increased after we made the reservation. We were given drink vouchers as compensation, but we weren’t told the vouchers only covered certain items. So the drink I ordered was not eligible for the voucher and I was charged for it. While drinking in the lobby around 9pm, a random homeless guy just came in and walked right up to 2 other guests to ask for money. How did he get in?! No key swipe, no security?! On day 2 of our stay, no one came and cleaned the room. We came back and the trash was still full, no clean towels, beds unmade. The room was dated with the hardest pillows and a drawer on the dresser that would slowly roll out because the floor was at a slant. Yea, creepy and annoying. The good: the lady who cleaned our room was really sweet! Most of the hotel staff was very kind and accommodating. The nighttime manager offered $50.00 for all of the inconveniences. The valet guys were very helpful.
May 05, 2025 · Ria FaluGreat Location, needs serious attention to cleanliness. The Riverfront Hotel is in a fantastic location—just steps away from the Riverwalk and Convention Center, which made it very convenient for our business trip. Most of the staff were friendly and accommodating, especially the front desk team who were helpful with small needs like safety pins and supply requests. Unfortunately, the stay was overshadowed by persistent issues with cleanliness. There was a strong musty, almost sour smell throughout the halls and in my room, particularly in the bathroom. Despite requesting deodorizing and cleaning every morning for five days, it wasn’t addressed until the final night—and even then, it only temporarily masked the underlying mildew odor. Our group had many rooms booked for the event, and nearly everyone commented on similar issues: mold on vents above the showers, musty smells, and a general lack of cleanliness in the rooms. On a less positive note, my final impression wasn’t great—at 5 a.m. checkout, the staff member seemed irritated by my request for a printed bill, which was disappointing after several days of otherwise good service. In summary: amazing location and some great staff, but the hotel needs to urgently address its maintenance and cleanliness issues. Until then, I’d hesitate to recommend it.
