We stayed in unit 74I over our kids’ February school break. Overall, the unit was tastefully decorated and renovated with great views. However a few issues that should be addressed by the management office as the unit could be excellent with a few things fixed: Broken dishwasher with no sign of it being fixed or replaced Previous tenants’ ashes still in fireplace No mattress pads on any beds; just sheets directly on bare mattresses No pillow protectors. Just pillowcase right on pillows. Used toothbrush under bathroom sink Moldy shower curtain liner in upstairs bathroom Keurig coffee maker is slow and needs to be cleaned with vinegar I’d love to stay again as the unit was otherwise great so I hope they address these fixable issues.

The Adirondack Mountains themselves are a year-round draw. The Northwoods Gondola offers scenic sky rides to the mountain's summit, providing panoramic views of the Adirondacks and Lake George. The area also hosts summer festivals and events, adding to the vibrant atmosphere. Furthermore, Gore Mountain is committed to environmental conservation, utilizing a large solar array to offset its energy use and implementing energy-efficient snowmaking technologies, making it a leader in sustainability within the ski industry.

Promotional Information and Guest Insights: What to Expect
The Summit At Gore Mountain is promoted as an ideal choice for Adirondack lodging, whether for a quick weekend getaway, a weekly vacation, or even monthly stays. It's often highlighted as a more spacious and comfortable alternative to cramped hotels or motels, offering guests a personal retreat with amenities like Jacuzzis (in some units), full kitchens, and fireplaces. The location is touted for its year-round appeal, with activities available in every season. Promotional materials emphasize the opportunity to relax and enjoy the beauty of the surroundings in spacious Adirondack lodging.

However, it's important to consider recent customer reviews to form an objective view. One guest, who stayed in unit 74I during a February school break, praised the unit's tasteful decoration, renovation, and great views. However, they also highlighted several maintenance issues that, if addressed, would make the unit excellent. These included:

  • A broken dishwasher with no sign of repair or replacement.
  • Previous tenants' ashes still present in the fireplace.
  • Absence of mattress pads on beds, with sheets directly on bare mattresses.
  • Lack of pillow protectors, with pillowcases directly on pillows.
  • A used toothbrush found under the bathroom sink.
  • A moldy shower curtain liner in the upstairs bathroom.
  • A slow Keurig coffee maker that needed cleaning with vinegar.
Despite these issues, the guest expressed a desire to stay again if these fixable problems were resolved, indicating the overall positive impression of the unit itself. This suggests that while the overall property offers a great experience, the condition of individual units can vary and is dependent on the specific owner's attention to detail and maintenance.

Another review noted the quiet nature of the area when there are fewer people around, emphasizing the cozy vibe and lovely decor attributed to the individual ownership of the cabins. This guest also mentioned the convenience of the nearby town and amenities like Tops Market and Stewart's gas station. A minor point raised was the occasional absence of staff at the office, which wasn't a significant problem unless specific assistance was required. This implies that while assistance might not always be immediately available on-site, guests can generally manage their stay without frequent direct interaction with management, relying on the self-sufficient nature of the townhome rentals.

These reviews suggest that while the property offers excellent potential and many desirable features, the guest experience can vary based on the maintenance and upkeep of individual units by their owners. It is advisable for prospective guests to inquire about the specific unit they are booking and potentially confirm recent maintenance status, especially regarding amenities like dishwashers and the provision of mattress and pillow protectors, to ensure their expectations are met.

In summary, The Summit At Gore Mountain provides a promising option for those seeking a spacious and amenity-rich accommodation near the recreational offerings of Gore Mountain and the Adirondacks. Its townhome style, coupled with communal facilities and stunning natural surroundings, makes it an attractive choice for families and groups looking for a comfortable and engaging getaway, with the added benefit of being in an environmentally conscious resort area.

A quiet little area when there's little people staying at the same time. We were surprised to see that our cabin is owned by a couple who rents it out, as are most of the cabins, so it had a very cozy vibe and lovely decor. The nearby town seems alright, with enough food places and a small grocery store, Tops market. The Stewart's gas station is a very short drive down the road, maybe even a walk, and has cheaper yet good ice cream scoops with free sprinkles, if you're there in the summer. I have one note that there rarely seems to be someone in the office, or at least not at the few times we went to look. It's not really a problem unless you really need something for some reason.

We've rented several different townhouses here over about 20 visits since 2003, all have been clean and nicely furnished. Lovely views of the Adirondack Mountains. Good places to eat in North Creek.

Comfortable townhouses w/ variety of 1-3 bedrooms. 5 minutes from Gore mountain. 5 minutes to downtown North Creek which has several cute restaurants, bars, hiking trails and a community center/art gallery. The town also has several rafting companies and other outdoor led tours. 25 minutes to Lake George. 5 mins walking distance from gas station/small store. All units have wood fire place & supplied wood. The one I stayed had highspeed wifi and a smart TV. The community also has a shared indoor pool small gym and game room. Highly recommend!

Had the pleasure of visiting for Christmas week 2019 with my family , there was 10 of us! The 2 connecting townhouses were clean and updated nicely. We had a constant supply of fire wood for the fireplace that was refilled by the property daily. The heated pool and sauna were nice to have for something to do as well. Mt Gore was really close by , but was only 1/3 open bc of lack of snow. so that was disappointing , but you cant control the weather. All around it was very nice and I would reccomend this to ppl who are looking for a winter ski vacation in the area of Mt Gore.
