The staff make this place unbeatable. First, the hotel is very nice with updated rooms that are clean. The beds are very comfortable. It’s a very nice hotel with reasonable rates in a solid location to explore New York. A quick taxi ride can get you anywhere. The in-house restaurant has some great meals and you can quickly get to many more options. The staff though, are simply amazing. We were here to see a medical specialist for my daughter and she ended up needing to be admitted twice. I had to change my check out date multiple times, and the staff supported me the entire time. Alexandra sent my daughter chocolates on Valentine’s Day. They asked about my daughter every single day. I was simply blown away with the care provided to us during a stressful time. A huge call out to Alexandra and Lilly. Thank you so much for caring, supporting, and making this my best hotel stay of my life.

I recently had an amazing stay at the Westin Grand Central, and I’d love to highlight some standout team members who made my experience truly exceptional. From the moment I arrived, Lillian at the front desk made check-in a breeze with her warm and efficient service. Her friendly demeanor set a positive tone for my entire stay. At the bar, Brian impressed me with his expertise and engaging conversation. His carefully crafted cocktails and genuine hospitality turned every evening into a delightful experience. A special thank you also goes out to Manager Neville, who ensured that every detail of my stay was seamless and comfortable. His attentive management and commitment to guest satisfaction were evident throughout my visit. I love this place! Everyone was so helpful and friendly. I left my ID and credit cards at home, and after alternate ways to identify myself, I was able to check in. We were always greeted with a smile and upbeat hello. The breakfast buffet was okay. Housekeeping was responsive to extra towels. They were prompt with bottled water. Our room was a nice size, and the bedding was comfortable. It's about 2-3 blocks from Grand Central Station. It was an easy walk with a medium suitcase and after an overnight snow! It was within walking distance to Broadway shows, shopping, dining, Bryant Park, and Times Square. This will be #1 choice when I visit. And I love the Westin products! The robes are soft. They have the White Tea full-sized shower gel, shampoo, and conditioner!

The hotel is in dire need of a full renovation. It has been performing below average on all fronts; service, amenities, room...etc. I was here for an extended period of time on a work trip and the only positive has been it's location. First, there is no bellhop to help you with the luggage. Second, the elevators are miserably outdated. Third, the room's carpet is very old and smells musty, I wouldn't be surprised if the hotel had mold honestly just looking at the ceiling and where the carpets curl up don't look too good. Fourth, The lighting in the room is poorly designed. The plumbing in the bathroom is horrendous. Fifth, the rod to switch from the faucet, hand shower and overhead shower does not work such that the faucet is always aggressively on and when you shower the bathtub fills up with water which is dangerous because one could easily slip, fall and break a bone. The water pressure is off, the hand shower is so strong it's painful to use and the overhead shower is too weak. Sixth, the cleaning service is up to par with a 2 or 3 star hotel definitely not a 4 star one. Basically, the housekeeping service throws out the trash, changes towels and makes the bed. Questionable whether or not they change sheets for extended stay. The staff and the housekeeping are so rude, they knock once and then barge into the room unannounced. It happened 3 times from three different people during our stay. This is completely unacceptable. The fridge in the room is so old and is barely cold. The hotel has this weird system where they offer complimentary water bottles but you have to call daily to request them and within a fixed time which is unnecessary and obviously a way for the hotel to cut costs. The breakfast is inedible, unless your reservation includes it definitely don't pay for it. There are many cafes and restaurants around the hotel which would definitely provide better options. Overall, the hotel stay has been awful to say the least and the property is an embarrassment to the Westin name.

We have just returned home to the UK after a 4 night stay at the Westin Grand Central Hotel. This was our first visit to the NYC and we’ve had a very comfortable stay at this hotel. We stayed in room 2016. The view was mainly of the offices next door, however we didn’t pick this hotel for the views. This hotel is in an excellent location. A short 5 minute walk from Grand Central Station. Midtown had lots to offer. Times Square and the empire state are only a 20 minute walk from the hotel. Our room was spacious and clean. Bathroom was good, very nice shower! Beds were very comfortable. Hot drink facilities too. Our room was clean daily. We had breakfast 3 out of 4 days. We were very impressed with the buffet breakfast.we were only disappointed with the tea they provided, but that’s a British problem😁 Just wanted to mention Lilly on reception was very kind and helpful. Also Brian behind the bar was very friendly. We would 100% return back to this hotel!
