When we stayed here, they were still undergoing extensive renovations The two most important things for a hotel, IMO, are cleanliness and price. This hotel is very clean. I did not see any bugs or dirt, and there were no bedbugs, thank goodness. The room floor was fake wood. Carpets are where lots of dirt and bugs can hide, including fleas: so this kind of floor is actually good. And the AC worked well. The price was very reasonable. Our room had two beds, a frig. with a freezer and a small cooking area with a sink There was also a microwave and, of course, a TV. There was also a small table with two chairs. There is a swimming pool and vending machines along with ice machines. I didn't use it, but there is a laundry room as well Some minor issues: Our room's door didn't seal well: the weather stripping needed to be replaced. But walking around it seemed the other room's did not have the same issue. The bathroom was very small, and there was no light in the sink area. So you either had to have the room lights on our leave the bathroom door open with that light on. Also, there was no place to hang clothes. Finally, if you're visiting to go to New Orleans, it is about a 12 minute drive if there is no traffic. As of this writing, the on-site restaurant was being renovated and was not open. All in all this is a nice hotel and is priced well.

Apr 30, 2025 · Gary SamaniegoThe team at this Travel Inn is amazing. From Front Desk with Alex and Laura making you feel at home and Keith making sure everything is in order and working right to the customers satisfaction. Great service and cleaning staff were very thorough. I'm very happy with my stay here. I would definitely stay here again when in the New Orleans area. Very affordable and good people. Keep up the great work! And thank you for the hospitality. Would definitely recommend to others.
Feb 17, 2025 · Addy DThis is the absolute worst hotel I’ve ever stayed in in my life. There were crackheads outside the building, fighting, all night long. The parking lot and the hallway smell like marijuana. The people at the front desk are extremely rude. When I went to check out the man was on his phone watching videos and told me to wait a minute I guess until he got done with what he was watching. Then when I tried to tell him my room number he was very confused and couldn’t understand what I was saying. It took forever to let him know that I was checking out of room number 234. The Room also smelled horrible. Do not stay here. I was charged a $50 deposit that I was supposed to get back but instead it posted to my account and I’m having to dispute it because they will not give me my money back
Mar 17, 2025 · Bridget BallardThis was the WORST hotel experience we have ever had. The pictures online didn't resemble the rooms whatsoever. the door wouldn't even shut, it looked like someone tried to kick it in. the lobby doesn't look nice at all, the rooms had a terrible damp moldy smell, and it did not feel safe at all. i don't recommend staying here whatsoever especially if you have kids. We didn't even stay there we saw the rooms and left. they were not willing to refund us money. such a joke! that hotel needs to be torn down!!!!!
Feb 10, 2025 · Presleigh KemperI'm a remote working professional, recently moved with a carload from California with my two cats. If you're going to stay here, please read. I came to this Inn due to it's proximity to New Orleans, the amenities offered like a pool and stovetops & because it was also in a convenient location itself however during my stay my privacy was violated as the staff entered without my permission while I wasn't there to retrieve towels I never asked them to get, hours later they came by to drop off a new set which was when I learned they had been in my room without permission. The Inn itself does not offer DO NOT DISTURB signs & instead housekeeping comes by your room DAILY, knocking on the door between the hours of 9:30-11am, asking if you need anything whether you want it or NOT. I had my secure work computer out, valuables around since I was just running to the store & more importantly, the staff could've let my CATS OUT. I let this incident go. However, that wasn't the only violation- a few days later, I came back from a day of Easter fun only to find out that I was locked out of my room at 11pm at night, my poor cats starring at me confused & even my neighbor wondering what happened. Luckily the night manager was there, however he stated since I hadn't paid a pet cleaning fee (which I was unaware of but fine paying) they had a right to not only enter my room without permission but to also lock me out at random hours. I got my new key cards and returned to speak to the morning manager because I wasn't giving the night guy a dime. I paid the pet cleaning fee (mind you I left my room damn near spotless) & asked the MGR why no one called me in the room, on my phone or emailed me about the issue instead of locking me out, he only apologized for the night MGR's ignorance but had no response to the way they poorly handle things in general nor did they seem to know regular customer service protocol... Next which you should know-This hotel is doing daily updates and regular Construction, the Stove-tops-DON'T WORK, the Pool-THEY'RE JUST BARELY FILLING, the in room phones sound like nothing but static & if you're working from your room like me, then you wouldn't appreciate the 48 hours of non-stop noise right outside my door that I got to experience. I couldn't make important calls for hours and absolutely NO NOTICE was given to any of the residents or apologies. When I asked for a late check out on my final day & requested nicely, that they didn't charge me due to the unannounced inconvenience, they offered to let me stay for an extra $40. The room itself was clean enough when I checked in but it was supposed to be non-smoking but still smelled which meant they needed to change their AC filter or clean it. The bathroom had an odor & the tub wasn't useable aside from the shower, due to all the mold, the tub itself was also damaged by some heavy object. The bathroom sink stopper didn't work, there were mousetraps under the bed and my Cat caught his fair share of regular bugs including two big roaches I actually heard House keeping riffling through my trash one day outside my door (at least do that somewhere away from the residents) The one fresh breath of air there is Laura, she gives great advice, helps when she can and I truly hope you get the pleasure of dealing with her if you're forced to stay here.
