We had such a wonderful time here at the Wave Walker Cottages! Phil, Donna and Beth the proprietor were outstanding. The accommodations were very comfortable & first class. It is so relaxing sitting out by the water and listening to the birds, and in the evening, watching the fireflies and enjoying a glass of wine by the fire with good company. We highly recommend getting up at the crack of dawn to appreciate the rising sun and the beauty of the area. As we walked along the waterside in hopes of getting a glimpse of an Eagle, the clear sound of a Woodpecker could be heard in the trees. Words don't do the beauty and solitude justice. Donna has some killer gardens, too! We loved the Wave Walker and highly recommend it!

Jun 20, 2024 · Ron GloverWe found The Wave Walker B+B quite by accident, while searching on the net for a nice place near Bar Harbor, and close to our track to attend a family wedding in Quebec City. WOW. When we arrived, Phil welcomed us and insisted on helping us with our bags ( a nice kindness, although not necessary). Donna greeted us as we came in, and they both welcomed us warmly, as old friends. We got settled, then came downstairs to familiarize ourselves with their home and the grounds. We stayed with Phil and Donna for 3 days and nights, and could not have been more pleased. The room we had ( Esther's) was lovely, with great views, home comfort, and privacy when we wanted it. The breakfasts are to die for. Donna's culinary skills are amazing. As an added bonus, Phil directed us to Perry's Lobster Shack about 2 miles down the road. Their approach to a fresh seafood restaurant is equally delightful, and we went back for dinner 2 out of our three evenings. Definitely a great Down East place, the food could not be better, and the owners there were terrific to us as well. During our stay, we got to know their two daughters a bit, who are also warm and kind. Donna and Phil should be proud. We will come to stay with Phil and Donna again!
Feb 08, 2015 · Gerry RovnerAmazing time. The house, the ocean, the land, everything has been beautiful. Donna and Phil are lovely, making you feel at home and welcome. The house is clean and filled with homey details, and high end products. They welcomed us with homemade truffles, which we get every morning after they make our beds. We get a delicious, nutritious, and totally organic/local breakfast every morning. There's a dock and a beach just a few steps away. They're also great at making recommendations for things to see and eat around. Loved loved my stay!
Aug 06, 2016 · CJ SolanoThe hosts are super friendly and amazing cooks! We had a beautiful view from the captain's quarters. Fresh flowers in your room, and hand made truffles each morning brought to your room. They even gave us a fruit basket and cheese and crackers when we first got here. The breakfast was in multiple courses each thoughtfully prepared and very tasty! Also the two person jacuzzi was very relaxing. Would definitely recommend and come back again!
Jul 27, 2016 · Jordan CoxThis was one of the best experiences we've ever had while traveling. We stayed in the Captain's Quarters and the view was stunning. My husband and I also could rave about the food. We were served 3-course breakfasts and everything we had was delicious! We were so stuffed that we'd often skip lunch. I cannot say enough positive comments about this place!
