We arrived for a five night stay during a gorgeous span of weather in September of 2024. While we were off and running towards Acadia National Park every morning, this was always after a visit to the wonderfully restored barn located on the premise. This robust, vintage barn doubles as the Bay Meadow office and guest center, which also includes a fabulous coffee bar. The cottages are located on a meadow with a view of a bay, where you can find paddle boards to use to drift out on the water. There are also two fires pits surrounded by Adirondack chairs, adding to a cozy feeling as the day turns into night. As an added bonus, there are propane grills for your cooking needs. To top it all off, blueberry pie slices and ice cream are available 24/7. We rented the Laughing Gull cottage. This cottage is larger, with the additional of a full-size kitchen and a compact seating area with a couch. It appears all the cabins have a porch, which is nice to use while drinking your coffee. We always felt comfortable and cozy in our cottage, and the super friendly and positive staff added an even nicer atmosphere. Bay Meadow Cottages fit us perfectly, as the days were always busy, and the nights just perfect right there beside the bay.

Sep 22, 2024 · James RigdonThis was a perfect spot for us! Away from the hustle and bustle but close enough for us to easily be enjoyed! The scenery was gorgeous, the rooms were warm and cozy. The blueberry pie and ice cream were delicious! The free coffee in the room was very good and the espresso bar on premise was convenient and nice as well. From the minute we booked we were in communication and given plenty of great suggestions, the ones we took were spot on and perfect for our trip!
Oct 05, 2024 · Stephanie Simon-DowlingArrived at the cottage around 7:30-8:00 ish and thought this was such a lovely little location. FYI, no TV, which was great for us. We stayed 3 nights, small little kitchenette area, not a large cottage, but, it was perfect, sweet, clean, linens were comfortable, shower is tiny, but, water pressure is great. We truly enjoyed our stay and the blueberry slice of pie we purchased from the outside fridge beside the barn on the site. This is such a good location not far from Arcadia or Bar Harbor. We truly enjoyed this quaint little place, so cute. You do pay up front and only get a refund if they rebook the room, which I am sure is never an issue. Very sweet place, would stay again.
Oct 23, 2024 · Lisa WhiteThis is one of the best places we have stayed at. First, the hosts were exceptional. Extremely responsive, friendly, helpful, and a joy to interact with during our stay. The cabin manager was also fantastic. Second, the amenities were amazing. There’s an espresso bar each morning, 24/7 access to delicious local pie and ice cream, beach access, and more. Third, the location was perfect. Only 5 minutes to Acadia and 10 to bar harbor, you’re close enough for quick access but removed enough to have peace and quiet at night. We genuinely couldn’t have enjoyed our stay more.
Aug 25, 2024 · Michael MeadMy husband and I stayed two nights in August and had the BEST time. The location is great because you’re close to Bar Harbour and close to the park but without the crowds. It was super quiet without being scary too (in case you’re a city person like me.) The views of the water are gorgeous. The hospitality of the hosts couldn’t be beat. The 24/7 blueberry pie was AMAZING. If you’re on the fence of booking here, just do it. You will be so happy you did!!
