Aiden by Best Western Long Island City New York

I had a great experience here with a few things to note: Positives: Check-in with a debit card was convenient, and the $100 deposit (varies) was reasonable. They upgraded us to a double bed for free, which was a nice touch. The check-in process was smooth, and the rooms and lobby were clean and comfortable. The shower was great, and the area felt safe at night. It's close to the F train, bus routes, and a great bodega. The rate was excellent for what it is, and they store bags for you. I’d definitely return as a solo or duo traveler. Negatives: The double room was very small, which might be tough with kids. There’s no real breakfast, and the pastries ran out one day. The coffee’s good, and there’s a microwave in the lobby. I would’ve liked some fruit. The bathroom has a glass door, which felt uncomfortable since you could see the other person. Luckily, the view was nice. Overall, I highly recommend it for a good rate. It’s about 20 minutes from Manhattan and 40 minutes to LGA by bus, with plenty to explore in Queens nearby. A practical, comfortable hotel, not fancy but great for what you need.

Absolutely Outstanding Stay at Aiden Long Island Best Western! My partner and I recently spent nearly a week at Aiden Long Island Best Western, and I cannot say enough wonderful things about our experience! From the moment we arrived, we were met with exceptional service, warm hospitality, and an atmosphere that made us feel right at home. One of the highlights of our stay was the phenomenal customer service. Dax and another incredible female staff member (I wish I remembered her name!) went above and beyond to ensure that our every need was met. They greeted us by name every day, anticipated our needs before we even had to ask, and truly made us feel like valued guests. The hotel itself was clean, comfortable, and beautifully maintained. Each morning, we were treated to delicious complimentary croissants and danishes—a delightful touch that made our mornings extra special. The attention to detail and the thoughtful amenities really set this hotel apart. If you’re looking for a hotel that provides 5-star service with a personal touch, look no further than Aiden Long Island Best Western. Many hotels in this area, and the parking in the area is almost non existing. This hotel has valet parking, too much. This hotel had no refrigerator or microwave in the room which was directly across from the elevator. Room also had no bathtub, only open shower with drainage inside and outside the shower area. Took a while for the water to heat up. Rooms are clean, I only experienced the single queen room. Bed was comfortable. TV worked.

I'm satisfied with the experience there overall. The hotel was clean and the staff were kind. Surprisingly, it offered a variety of mini bread including croissants, muffins, and danish for breakfast. Their taste was good. We had to wait for it to be served sometimes because the amount was relatively small considering the guests though. The room was also relatively small and I heard the voice from the next room, but I didn't care so much. The location was not so close to the MTA station and I didn't feel the area was safe; however, the street the hotel was located in had some hotels, so we were always able to walk with other tourists fortunately.

I want to start by saying the staff was great—super helpful, friendly, always cleaning. The hotel itself is fine, but my main issue was the noise + the guests. I stayed there for work (in the city), so I didn’t spend much time at the hotel, just needed a place to sleep then leave for the day. The area is kind of gritty (near the projects), next to industrial plants, so there’s constant noise. More than once I woke up to guests screaming at each other early in the morning or late at night, and the walls are so thin that it felt like I was in the room with them. I asked for a quiet room since I’d be staying for an extended time, (it wasn't). My room was essentially a conjoined one, & had a door separating the one next to me (idk who the people next to me were) but the walls felt like they were super thin and the guest had no sense of an inside voice. One night, the guests next door were so loud that I could hear everything they said, like to the point I was practically in the room with them. I didn't want to be a Karen, but I called the front desk to complain anonymously for the sake of my sanity, and the guests next door started yelling about it, threatening to "beat" whoever made the complaint. I could hear it all from inside my room, which was crazy. For New York, the hotel is budget-friendly, but be warned it’s very noisy. You have to ask for your room be cleaned. I don't understand how it's 4 stars bc the lack of amenities. Overall OK, noise made it less than ideal for me.
