We loved this place for our first visit. The walk-in closet was a nice feature. The bathroom was tight, but adequate and very beautiful. The front desk and concierge were friendly and helpful. We felt a bit pressured in the sales presentation, but walked away unscathed as we knew our limitations going in. It was very convenient to be close to everything we wanted to do and see. There were beautiful views of the NY skyline from the lounge and outdoor balcony on the 33rd (top) floor. Construction made wait time a little long for the elevators. That's to be expected. Overall, we were pleased with our stay.
Looking for a centrally located resort hotel in Midtown Manhattan? Club Wyndham Midtown 45, situated at 205 E 45th St, is a popular choice in the 'Hotels Near Of Me' category. Based on recent guest reviews, this property offers convenient access to many New York City attractions and comfortable accommodations, though potential guests from Taiwan should be aware of some reported issues.
Many guests have expressed that they "loved this place" for their first visit to the city. A notable feature mentioned is the presence of a "walk-in closet" in some rooms. While some found the bathroom to be "tight," it was also described as "adequate and very beautiful." The front desk and concierge staff are generally regarded as "friendly and helpful," contributing to a positive initial impression.
A significant highlight of Club Wyndham Midtown 45 is the "beautiful views of the NY skyline" available from the lounge and outdoor balcony located on the 33rd (top) floor. This provides a fantastic vantage point for guests to enjoy the cityscape. However, it was noted that "construction made wait time a little long for the elevators," which is described as "to be expected" in a city environment with ongoing development.
While the location and accommodations are generally viewed positively, a major downside reported by one guest concerns the "Concierge Desk (aka Sales Staff)" situated in front of the elevators. This setup allegedly allows them to "block your access to your room while they pressure you to attend a sales meeting, disguised as an 'Owners Update.'" Guests should be prepared for this potential interaction.
Another guest reported additional issues during check-out, specifically "regarding key access and an elevator out of service." They felt that these problems "could have been avoided with better in house communication." However, they also noted that the "Guest Services Director went out of her way to address these issues and provide both an apology and some compensation," indicating a willingness to resolve guest concerns.
The provided reviews do not offer extensive details about all resort services and features. The presence of a lounge and outdoor balcony on the top floor suggests common areas for relaxation and enjoying the views. Other typical resort amenities like a fitness center or business facilities are not explicitly mentioned in these reviews.
The reviews do not contain information about specific promotional offers available at the time of these stays. Travelers from Taiwan interested in staying at Club Wyndham Midtown 45 may wish to check the official Wyndham website or contact the hotel directly at +1 212-867-5100 (international dialing from Taiwan would require preceding with Taiwan's international access code) for any current promotions or vacation packages.
In conclusion, Club Wyndham Midtown 45 offers a conveniently located option in New York City with nice accommodations and impressive skyline views. Travelers from Taiwan should be aware of potential pressure to attend a sales presentation and the possibility of occasional logistical issues. However, the positive aspects like friendly staff and the efforts of the Guest Services Director to resolve concerns suggest that many guests have a pleasant stay.

Mar 14, 2025 · Jeff ParkerThe staff are very friendly and helpful. The location is close to the Grand Central Station and is a 20-minute walk to Times Square. There is a rooftop deck with a nice view of the Chrysler building. Our room was spacious and clean. It came with a full kitchen and refrigerator. The bathroom is spacious with a tub and shower. I definitely would stay here again.
Dec 31, 2024 · Angel CGreat location to stay in midtown. Close to Grand Central Station. I had 2 bedroom and it was spacious for being in the city. The lounge on the 33rd floor has incredible views of the Chrysler building.
Mar 25, 2025 · Jae HanThe staff was very polite and very attentive. After the first two days, they caught on that we were using DoorDash for our dinner orders -- as we are from out of state and did not rent a vehicle. If we weren't downstairs in time, they would take the food and hold it momentarily for us. The bell hops/ greeters were very polite -- and concerned when I had arrived after an 18-hour long day. He was an older gentleman and who showed genuine concern that I was just then arriving back and encouraged a good night's rest ^_^ The only things that denoted the four-star rating was that the panel inside one of the elevators was broken-- looks as though it had been busted, and the hangers in the room were also breaking -- one broke as soon as I hung my pants up. Other than that, the staff was exceptionally friendly and polite at all times. The room was clean and neatly presented, and the location is within walking distance of several food choices, shops, and transportation options.
