Booked this hotel because of the convenient location while traveling for work. While the hotel overall was decent, I would not stay here again for a number of reasons. While the staff appeared friendly, they never acknowledged you unless you spoke to them. I found myself greeting them each morning and would have been ignored otherwise. No biggie, just odd. I was assigned a room with two beds prior to my stay and prior to my arrival asked for a room with one bed. I was told it would be researched and then never heard back. I could care less about my status and the benefits of being titanium elite, but a simple “I’m sorry we can’t accommodate that request” would have been nice. Finally, do not stay here if you are a light sleeper. The walls are paper thin and you heat everything. There is a night club across the street and you will hear and feel the bass all.night.long. I wasn’t miserable enough to find a different hotel but definitely will be looking at other options moving forward!

Spoke to management about it and they just kept stressing that two double beds is a better value than a king. There are better places for the same price close. I'd stay at one of those if I were you.

The coffee maker in the room was broken and corridors had lingering smells of smoke. The stairs were cluttered and not pleasant to walk through to access the lobby. Liked the boutique hotel vibe in the lobby but overall would try another place next time.The valet parking guy was extremely rude at arrival as we only wanted to check in and leave for exploring. He insisted we park and pay $40 valet charge for that. Stayed at Springhill suites last time and got much more for similar price.

While management frequently replies to these reviews stating that concerns will be addressed, it appears that either little action is taken, or they are part of the ongoing problem and lack genuine concern. As a Marriott Titanium Elite member, I checked in via the mobile app two days prior, selecting a 10:30 AM arrival time. I fully understood that early check-in is not guaranteed, but I hoped it might be accommodated. Upon arriving around 10:00 AM, I was met by two front desk agents who were notably unwelcoming. There was no greeting, no acknowledgment of my elite status, and no mention of the welcome gift options typically offered. It felt as though my presence was an inconvenience rather than a guest to be welcomed. I was told my room was not yet ready and that I would be placed on a priority list, with my phone number taken for notification. I watched as I was the first name added. I stored my luggage with the hotel and left for a lunch and spa appointment at the Ritz-Carlton—where, in stark contrast, every staff member offered warm greetings as I passed. By 2:30 PM, I had received no call or app notification about my room. I attempted to contact the hotel by phone before returning, placing four calls with no answer. When I arrived back at the front desk, the agent again displayed a lack of engagement and only acknowledged me after I initiated the conversation. She confirmed my room was ready, though I noticed she had been highlighting names on the priority list—mine, still at the top, remained untouched. I was informed I had been “upgraded” to a balcony room on the second floor. However, despite having a preference for high floors on my profile, this room turned out to be on the ground-level pool area, with what was essentially a patio—not a balcony as described. This misrepresentation was disappointing. The room itself was small, dated, and in need of refurbishment. Throughout my stay, I was never greeted by staff, nor did I observe other guests being acknowledged. The overall atmosphere was disheartening and lacked the hospitality one expects from a Marriott property. I had also requested a late checkout through the mobile app at the time of check-in, but this request was never recorded in the system. The only notably friendly staff member I encountered was the overnight front desk agent. While outside of the hotel's direct control, several nights were disrupted by loud hallway noise—people running, slamming doors, and banging on walls around 2 AM, making restful sleep difficult. In conclusion, I cannot recommend this property. If management genuinely cares about improving the guest experience, they must go beyond responding to online reviews and begin implementing meaningful changes on the ground.
May 05, 2025 · Mike VigilanteArriving at the property for check in, my room wasn’t ready. That was fine because I was maybe an hour early before the regular check in time. They took my number and said they would call when my room was ready. Never received a call. I sent a message to the hotel through the app around 5pm once I noticed how late it was with no call; to check the status. No response. I decided to go up there and check in person. The lady at the front desk said she called me. Which was a lie because I received no call. She then says she called the number the other woman wrote down and they told her she had the wrong number. So she didn’t in fact call me. That was the first incident that rubbed me the wrong way, but I moved past it. The room was spacious and clean. A bit humid though. I was given a room across from the nightclub, but it wasn’t as bad as I thought it would be with the noise level. The only other issue I have with this stay is communication yet again. They booked me in a room on a floor that was “supposed” to be out of order for renovations. I walked out of my room to find the floors ripped up. Called down to the front desk and the lady said no one was supposed to be on the 4th floor. Well I didn’t check myself in. So obviously things aren’t being communicated within the staff. I’ve been at the property since Saturday and it’s Wednesday, no one caught the error. The lady that answered did apologize and offered to move me to another room, but I’m checking out the next day. Doesn’t make sense to move for one night. Nothing else was offered and I’m hoping my shoes do not get ruined from walking across the exposed sticky floors.
