I stayed at this hotel this past weekend and it was a mess. Pool was closed and was told it wasn’t opening till sometime in May. Was assigned to room 212 and the room was horrible. Exhaust fan in bathroom didn’t work. Half of the electricity was working. The front door light wasn’t working the light next to refrigerator and microwave wasn’t working. Microwave and refrigerator had no electricity. When I called for maintenance they sent up a guy and the guy said he isn’t maintenance and that the room was know to staff to have electrical problems with the breakers for the room and that nobody ever fixed it. The cabinet that the microwave and refrigerator was in was missing the door. I called the front desk and complained and the room was switched to Room 217 which was right across the hall and that room was nice however the light for the tv wasn’t working, the exhaust fan for the bathroom wasn’t working neither and the toilet got stopped up. When called about the toilet being stopped up they sent house keeping to fix the toilet and notified them that the toilet bowl handle was hanging out of the toilet bowl tank and needs to be fixed and they house keeper said oh someone will be up to fix it later on we will let them know and no one ever came to the room to fix the toilet bowl handle. The restaurant in the lobby is never open every time me and my wife went to get something from the restaurant there never nobody at the counter except for one time and the person said they were closed. When me and my wife will to purchase items from the store next tot he reception desk we couldn’t even get the correct price because they didn’t have the items in there system. I bought a good humor ice cream bar since they didn’t have it in there system they charged it as if I was buying a Haagen -daz ice cream. The scary part of it all was the elevators jerk before they start moving. The biggest thing was when calling before arriving inquiring about the earliest check in the reception Brianna was was unprofessional and with a attitude said I can’t tell you the earliest check in I am not a house keeper. Me and my wife got angry we hung up and called back and the same receptionist Brianna answered and we ask for the manager and now she all off sudden claim to be the manager. I don’t recommend staying here the place it not maintained and has lots of deficiencies that are not being addressed.my last issue was that I have late check out for my reservation which stated that I have to check out by 1pm and my room key and mobile room key was deactivated before my reservation was over. Front desk stated that all room keys are deactivated by the system at 11am by the system automatically yet during my first 2 days my keys were active. So lies were told.

Situated at 3280 Tillman Dr, Bensalem, PA 19020, USA, this hotel aims to cater to both business and leisure travelers visiting the Greater Philadelphia region. Guests can contact the hotel directly at (215) 604-9900 or +1 215-604-9900 for reservations and inquiries.
The Courtyard Philadelphia Bensalem is strategically located in a commercial area of Bensalem, offering convenient access to major roadways. Its address on Tillman Drive places it within close proximity to key highways, allowing for easy travel to downtown Philadelphia, surrounding suburbs, and popular attractions. The immediate environment is typically characterized by other businesses, corporate offices, and retail establishments, indicating a practical and accessible setting rather than a secluded retreat.
The hotel's location is particularly beneficial for visitors planning to explore local points of interest. It is a short drive from family-friendly destinations such as Sesame Place, a popular theme park. For adult entertainment, Parx Casino and Racing is also nearby, offering gaming and live horse racing. Shopping enthusiasts can visit Neshaminy Mall, which is also conveniently accessible. The environment around the hotel is designed for efficiency and accessibility, making it a suitable base for those on business trips or families looking to visit multiple attractions in the region.
The hotel itself, as a Courtyard by Marriott, typically features a modern design aesthetic with common areas designed for both work and relaxation. This often includes a lobby with flexible seating arrangements, a business center, and perhaps an outdoor patio, aiming to create a comfortable environment for guests.
The Courtyard Philadelphia Bensalem, as part of the Marriott brand, aims to provide a range of services and amenities designed to enhance the guest experience. However, recent customer reviews highlight significant inconsistencies and deficiencies in the delivery of these services.
Typically, Courtyard properties offer a bistro or restaurant in the lobby for breakfast, and sometimes dinner, along with grab-and-go options. However, one review explicitly states, "The restaurant in the lobby is never open every time me and my wife went to get something from the restaurant there never nobody at the counter except for one time and the person said they were closed." This indicates a major service lapse in a key amenity. Similarly, issues were reported with purchasing items from the hotel store, where incorrect pricing due to system issues led to overcharging for basic items. The availability of a pool is a standard feature for many hotels in this category, but a review noted, "Pool was closed and was told it wasn’t opening till sometime in May," pointing to potential lack of timely maintenance or communication regarding amenities.
In-room amenities are also a critical aspect. While Courtyard rooms are generally designed to be comfortable and functional, a review detailed multiple issues: "Exhaust fan in bathroom didn’t work. Half of the electricity was working. The front door light wasn’t working the light next to refrigerator and microwave wasn’t working. Microwave and refrigerator had no electricity." Even after a room switch, issues persisted: "the light for the tv wasn’t working, the exhaust fan for the bathroom wasn’t working neither and the toilet got stopped up." These recurring problems, along with unaddressed maintenance requests (e.g., "toilet bowl handle was hanging out"), point to significant service and maintenance shortcomings.
Front desk service, which is paramount to a hotel stay, also received conflicting feedback. One review highlighted an "unprofessional" and "with an attitude" interaction with a receptionist named Brianna, including a false claim of being a manager and issues with key deactivation. Conversely, another review praised the "wonderful staff at the front desk," specifically mentioning "Takia was absolutely delightful, so friendly and welcoming, and she was incredibly helpful when I misplaced my suit." This suggests a highly inconsistent level of service quality, where some staff members excel while others fall far short of expectations.
Other general amenities typically offered by Courtyard by Marriott hotels include free Wi-Fi, a fitness center, and possibly a business center. While not explicitly detailed in the provided reviews, the presence of these amenities is standard for the brand. However, their condition or accessibility would be subject to the same maintenance issues highlighted in the customer feedback.
The Courtyard Philadelphia Bensalem, when operating optimally, is designed to offer features that cater to both business and leisure travelers. Its key features typically include:
However, based on the recent customer feedback, the actual execution of these features is a major concern. The hotel's "deficiencies that are not being addressed" are a significant feature in themselves, negatively impacting the guest experience. Issues with electricity, broken appliances (microwave/refrigerator), missing cabinet doors, non-functional exhaust fans, stopped-up toilets, and unresponsive maintenance are critical failures. The description of elevators that "jerk before they start moving" also raises safety concerns. The unreliability of basic services like restaurant operation and front desk professionalism are major deterrents.
While no specific promotional information was provided, Courtyard by Marriott hotels typically participate in the Marriott Bonvoy loyalty program, which offers various benefits and promotions. For those searching "Hotels Near Of Me," potential promotional offers could include:
However, it is crucial for potential guests to consider the recent customer feedback when evaluating the value proposition of any promotional offers. The reported widespread maintenance issues and inconsistent service suggest that even with attractive rates, the guest experience may be significantly compromised. Guests considering this hotel are strongly advised to contact the hotel directly to confirm the operational status of amenities like the pool and restaurant, and to inquire about the current state of maintenance and service. While the Courtyard brand typically represents a reliable choice, the specific issues reported for this location warrant careful consideration before booking, especially for those prioritizing a smooth and problem-free stay in Bensalem.

Apr 30, 2025 · Marcel JenkinsMy wife and I had a wonderful stay at the Courtyard in Bensalem. We especially wanted to call out the wonderful staff at the front desk. Takia was absolutely delightful, so friendly and welcoming, and she was incredibly helpful when I misplaced my suit. Would certainly recommend to anyone staying in Bensalem.
Apr 13, 2025 · Ben WoodwardMy parents where down and they had to pay for everything. As soon as you coming in it’s a place to buy things. But to eat dinner foods it wasn’t an open breakfast bar or nothing. As my parents are older they are on a fixed budget and doesn’t eat much. It cost money to stay anywhere but they had to drive to a restaurant and they are in there 80’s.
May 21, 2025 · Tenisha ElliotteWe frequent here for business. It's better than the surrounding hotels we have frequented, however the rooms have fallen into a slight state of disrepair. Nothing serious, just some of the outlets and USB port. No continental breakfast either, then again, is that even a thing anymore?
Dec 30, 2024 · TOG YMKTerrible staff and service. They charged my credit card 2 times for one room and one night. When I called and asked to fixed it I was given the runaround. After holding for almost an hour I was told a manager would call me back, no one called back, I had to call again . I was then told I had to call the main number to reverse the charge. I was transferred to the main reservation number and a mashine kept asking me to make a new reservation. I was incredibly upset at the way they handle it. I always stay at Marriotts properties and this was the worst . Never again. Avoid the staff if you can , or make sure your bill is taken care of before you leave the property
