Our room is very nice. Check-in was easy and everyone was friendly. The breakfast was good and there was a variety of things to eat. We love how close it is to the Parx Casino. They offer rides back and forth, but it was definitely in walking distance as long as the weather is decent. The only downfall at the hotel was the construction going on had one elevator not working, so the one that did work was very busy at times.
For local users and travelers searching on platforms like "Hotels Near Of Me" in the Bensalem, Pennsylvania area, the Inn at Fox Chase, located at 3327 Street Rd, Bensalem, PA 19020, USA, has historically presented itself as a practical lodging option, particularly appealing to those visiting the nearby Parx Casino. The hotel can be reached via phone at (215) 639-9100 or mobile at +1 215-639-9100. However, it is critically important to note that recent customer feedback indicates the hotel may currently be closed or undergoing significant construction, making it unavailable for bookings at the moment. This introduction will describe the hotel based on its past operational model and reviews, while emphasizing its current reported status.
Environment and Ambiance:
Based on past operations and positive reviews, the Inn at Fox Chase aimed to provide a comfortable and welcoming environment. Guests have described their rooms as "very nice," suggesting that the hotel maintained a decent standard of cleanliness and comfort in its accommodations. The ambiance would have been that of a mid-range hotel, suitable for both leisure travelers and those on short business trips. Its location on Street Road (PA-132) places it in a commercial area with relatively easy access, but also potentially subject to some traffic noise. The design and layout would likely be functional and straightforward, typical of a hotel catering to general travelers. Positive aspects of the past environment included ease of check-in and friendly staff, contributing to a pleasant initial impression. However, a significant recent development is the reported closure or construction, as one customer found the "hotel is completely closed. Empty parking lot. No lights on. Doors completely barred off. Seems to be under construction." This means the current environment is that of an inactive or developing site, completely altering any previous ambiance for potential guests.
Services and Amenities:
When operational, the Inn at Fox Chase offered a range of services and amenities designed for guest convenience. A notable feature was the complimentary breakfast, which was described as "good and there was a variety of things to eat." This is a significant value-add for guests. The hotel also historically offered a shuttle service, providing "rides back and forth" to the nearby Parx Casino, a highly convenient amenity for casino-goers. The staff was generally perceived as "friendly" and helpful during check-in, indicating a positive service experience. Essential amenities such as free Wi-Fi and parking would also have been standard offerings. However, maintenance issues, even when the hotel was operational, could occur, as one review mentioned "the construction going on had one elevator not working, so the one that did work was very busy at times." The critical factor now is the complete cessation of services due to the reported closure or construction. Currently, no services or amenities are available, as the hotel is not accepting guests. Therefore, while past services were beneficial, they are not presently accessible.
Features and Highlights:
Historically, the primary highlight of the Inn at Fox Chase was its exceptional proximity to Parx Casino and Racing. Guests specifically noted "how close it is to the Parx Casino," emphasizing that it was "definitely in walking distance as long as the weather is decent." This location, coupled with the offered shuttle service, made it an ideal choice for casino visitors. The complimentary breakfast, with its variety, was another strong feature, adding value to the stay. The reported comfort of the rooms ("Our room is very nice") also contributed positively to guest experience. However, the most critical "feature" currently is the hotel's reported state of closure or undergoing construction. This means that its former highlights are not currently available to new guests. The sudden and unannounced nature of this closure, as experienced by a traveler who "received no notice at all" after driving "four hours," is a significant negative "feature" that highlights a severe communication issue and lack of operational transparency. For any potential guest searching "Hotels Near Of Me," the crucial piece of information is that this hotel may not be open for business.
Promotional Information and Target Audience:
When the Inn at Fox Chase was fully operational, its promotional strategy would have heavily emphasized its strategic location and value-added amenities. For users searching "Hotels Near Of Me," it would have primarily targeted casino-goers due to its close proximity to Parx Casino and the shuttle service offered. The complimentary breakfast and comfortable rooms would also have been key selling points for leisure travelers and potentially business travelers needing a convenient stopover in the Bensalem area. Promotions would have highlighted its affordability combined with essential comforts. However, the current situation drastically alters any effective promotional information. With the hotel reportedly closed or under construction, any historical promotional claims are irrelevant to current bookings. The immediate and vital promotional message for any platform listing this hotel, including "Hotels Near Of Me," must be a clear warning about its current operational status. Failing to provide this information, as experienced by the stranded traveler, leads to significant negative guest experiences and reputational damage. Therefore, for any objective introduction, it is paramount to state that while the Inn at Fox Chase previously offered certain benefits, its present status makes it unavailable, and potential guests should confirm its operational status before making any plans, or, ideally, consider alternative accommodations in the area until its confirmed reopening.

Feb 15, 2025 · Janet MurphyMade a reservation so that I could attend a concert at the nearby Casino months in advance. Drove here from Virginia. Four hours. The hotel is completely closed. Empty parking lot. No lights on. Doors completely barred off. Seems to be under construction. I received no notice at all.
Apr 05, 2025 · Kyle BrockWhile they are currently undergoing some construction inside, that did not detract from the experience. The staff was extremely courteous and helpful. The room was clean and well-appointed. The breakfast... (the free breakfast) was amazing! My only reason for not scoring five stars is that I only stayed one night, so I didn't get to experience everything that they had to offer.
Mar 08, 2025 · David BytWas looking forward to staying here Thursday 3/20. Booked directly through them over a month a half ago. Went to check on reservation through the app and it was suddenly cancelled (it was there 2 days ago). Called to see and was informed they are closed due to construction. I got no phone call, no email. If I hadn't of looked on my own we would have showed up to an empty hotel. Luckily got a res at the sleep inn nearby. Extremely unprofessional and unacceptable. Never stayed and never will because of this, very disappointing.
Mar 18, 2025 · Nicole KraemerThe photos on the website are not anything of what you are walking into. I felt Catfished. The attached photo is the lobby. I chose this hotel because the website stated there was a bar and restaurant. There was none. They are doing a renovation that was not disclosed at booking. They charged a 250.00 fee in case we smoke damage the room. My room smelled like smoke as soon as I entered it. Then as I walked into the elevator there was a broken ketchup packet in the elevator that I had to be careful not to roll over with my suitcase. That ketchup packet stuck to the floor until the next evening. It was disgusting. I entered my room and there was a little babies palm print on my mirror in the living room area. It was kind of spooky looking. It was there for the entire 4 nights of my stay. Then every single day I had to go to the front desk girl to have my key card re-activated. I had my 80 year old mom that could hardly walk and everyday my key card would not work and I would have to run back downstairs hoping that she would not fall waiting for me, I told the girl that I was there 4 nights that she needed to make sure it stayed activated. But of course it never did. I had 3 rooms booked and it was the same thing with all 3 rooms. Then my blinds were broken . They wouldn’t go up. I ended up fixing them myself. Then the air conditioner never worked in one of the rooms. I then came home from being out and there was a sign hanging up at the entrance saying that the next morning at 7:00am til 3:00pm there will be no water!! How crazy is that? I asked the check in lady and she said, she was sorry and we can go to another hotel that they would understand. I was checking out the next morning but of course I would like water. My mom is an old lady who needs to be able to flush the toilet. I am really disappointed since there were so many other hotels. Every time we wanted an alcoholic beverage we had to drive to the casino. I t was an ice storm and was not fun driving in the poor weather conditions when we did not think we had to. You are by no means a premier hotel.
