Kimberly was very sweet and helpful. The room was clean. The bed was great to sleep in. Didn’t avail ourselves of the hotel’s amenities — didn’t have the time — but I do know the pool was closed for maintenance. The relaxation area w/ a fire pit, apparently just a few feet from the pool, seen in a featured photo, was hidden from our view, and a male employee wouldn’t give us access. Bummer. We would probably stay there again, though. I appreciated the desk reception of Kimberly & Jeremy. Loosen up & smile more, Jeremy!

Guest feedback for the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Atlanta - Northlake is varied, presenting a dual perspective. Many guests have praised the comfort of the beds and the overall cleanliness of the rooms, often describing them as well-maintained. The friendly and helpful nature of certain front desk staff members, like Kimberly and Jeremy, is consistently highlighted, with guests appreciating their professionalism and efforts to assist. The complimentary warm cookie upon check-in is a universally appreciated touch, creating a positive first impression. The on-site restaurant, Marlow's Tavern, is often mentioned positively for its food quality and convenient dining option. The free parking is also a significant plus for travelers, especially in a metropolitan area where parking can often be an additional cost.
However, some significant concerns have also been raised by guests. One major point of contention is the occasional reported issues with the seasonal outdoor pool being closed for maintenance, which can be a disappointment for guests expecting to use this amenity for relaxation or recreation. More serious complaints revolve around room cleanliness issues, with specific mentions of stained toilets or unexplained fluids on curtains, which are highly unsettling for guests, particularly those traveling with children. There have also been instances of rooms not matching booking specifications, leading to inconvenience upon check-in. Furthermore, some guests have expressed dissatisfaction with overall service, including perceived rudeness or unhelpfulness from certain staff members when addressing complaints or being told not to be "stingy." These issues can significantly detract from the guest experience and have led some travelers to seek alternative accommodations, despite the hotel's convenient location and Hilton brand association. Noise levels, particularly from parties or road traffic, have also been cited as a concern by some guests.
As a DoubleTree by Hilton property, this hotel participates in the Hilton Honors loyalty program. Members can enjoy various benefits such as exclusive member rates, digital check-in and check-out, and the ability to earn and redeem points for stays, which can be used for free nights, experiences, or other travel perks. Hilton frequently offers various promotions, including seasonal discounts, bonus points offers, or package deals, which can be accessed through the Hilton website or other reputable online travel agencies. The inclusion of amenities like a fitness center, on-site restaurant, and free parking, coupled with the brand recognition, contributes to its perceived value for guests. For some, the comfort of the rooms and the positive interactions with specific staff members provide good value for the price point. For others, particularly those who encounter cleanliness or service issues, the value proposition may diminish. Potential guests are strongly encouraged to consult recent reviews and verify specific amenities and policies (such as pool availability or pet policies) with the hotel directly to ensure their stay meets their expectations and to make an informed decision when searching for "Hotels Near Of Me."

May 14, 2025 · Todd ShriverThis trip was booked through Priceline approximately two weeks before we checked in for a family gathering in Tucker, GA. I specifically remember booking a room with double beds and a sofa bed because I was trying to accommodate 5 people. My trip was booked from 5/8-5/11. *Sidebar I wouldn’t have booked if I would have known the pool wasn’t open during our stay I wouldn’t have booked elsewhere. When we checked in I was greeted by a nice lady, but there was confusion based on the room I booked. Either way I had come from Ohio so we needed a room for the night. I do remember the front desk associate stating to me not to be “stingy”, after already being inconvenienced. I wasn’t able to get pictures of the inside of the room before we got settled in. The room we got was average hotel sized. The room was not the cleanest, the inside of the toilet was either stained or just not clean. There also was some type of fluid on the curtains! It was very disturbing knowing my 8 y/o questioned me on what it was. I had no idea but it was very unsettling. As stated before the trip was booked for 3 nights. So after our first night after an 11 hour drive to this hotel, we were checked out the next morning. So we didn’t really get to see what else the hotel had to offer. We ended up in Downtown Atlanta paying for valet, but it was a major upgrade versus what the DoubleTree had to offer. We didn’t have trouble checking out I was only charged for one night so no gains or no losses.
May 15, 2025 · BrittanyI stayed here for a night and I generally enjoyed my experience. The Front Desk Supervisor Jeremy was amazing. He clearly demonstrates managerial skills and professionalism while still being charismatic and fun during the check-in process definitely a win-win plus you have the famous cookies.
May 21, 2025 · Damon PerryIf you are thinking about staying here, I wanted to highlight some details that some might find useful in choosing to stay here. The customer service was average, but they gave us warm cookies upon arrival which was nice. The bed itself was very comfortable but the bathroom was small. They did not have complimentary coffee/tea in the lobby for guests throughout the day which is a staple accommodation for me. Housekeeping also knocked on our door for no apparent reason at 11:15 am and we were still asleep. Lastly, I did not see cameras outside the parking lot for safety and a car was broken into right beside my car during my stay. I would not stay here again for that reason.
