Good rate, bed was clean and amenities were good (fridge, microwave, coffee maker). AC unit worked well at keeping the temp I set. Shower had a tub with water from OUCH to BRRRRRR. Breakfast was light. Juices, coffee, toast/bagel, cereal and waffle maker, but that's better than most places these days. Especially for free inclusion with room. Would recommend

Quality Inn Northlake Introduce

For local users searching for 'Hotels Near Of Me' in the Atlanta, Georgia area, specifically within the Northlake neighborhood, the Quality Inn Northlake presents itself as a value-oriented option. Located at 2155 Ranchwood Dr NE, Atlanta, GA 30345, USA, this hotel aims to provide straightforward accommodations with a focus on essential amenities and a convenient location. This introduction will offer an objective overview, drawing from both the hotel's stated features and direct customer feedback.

  • Environment and Location: The Quality Inn Northlake is situated in a quiet cul-de-sac off Interstate 285, offering relatively easy access to various parts of Atlanta. The Northlake area itself is a suburban environment with shopping, dining, and business parks. The hotel is conveniently located just 0.25 miles from Northlake Mall, providing immediate access to retail and dining options. For those needing medical access, it's approximately 7 miles from Emory University and Hospital, Children's Healthcare Atlanta Hospitals, and DeKalb General Hospital, with special rates sometimes available for hospital visitors. Business travelers will find it close to many corporate office parks and the world headquarters of UPS. While not in downtown Atlanta, the hotel offers accessibility to the city's core attractions, being within a 20-minute drive of downtown and within walking distance or a short drive to MARTA bus transportation, offering connectivity to the wider transit system. Key attractions like Stone Mountain Park are around 7-10 miles away, while downtown Atlanta attractions such as Centennial Olympic Park, World of Coca-Cola, CNN Center, Georgia Aquarium, and State Farm Arena are typically 10-15 miles away. The hotel's setting, "framed by towering shade trees and beautifully manicured grounds," suggests a pleasant exterior, though the interior experience, as indicated by some reviews, may vary.

  • Services and Amenities: The Quality Inn Northlake offers a range of services designed to enhance a guest's stay. A significant highlight, often praised by guests, is the complimentary continental breakfast served daily from 7:00 AM to 10:00 AM. As one reviewer noted, this includes "Juices, coffee, toast/bagel, cereal and waffle maker," which is "better than most places these days" for a free inclusion. The hotel features a seasonal outdoor pool, open from May to September, with pool access from 8 AM to 9 PM, providing a recreational option during warmer months. Guests can stay connected with free high-speed Wi-Fi available in both public areas and all guest rooms. For business needs, there's a business center with a computer station, and meeting facilities are available. Other conveniences include a 24-hour front desk, express check-in/check-out, free newspapers in the lobby, coffee/tea in common areas, and a shared microwave and refrigerator for guest use. Laundry facilities are also available for guests. The staff is multilingual, speaking English, Spanish, and Hindi, among other languages, which can be beneficial for a diverse range of visitors. There's also a fireplace in the lobby, adding to the common area ambiance.

  • Features of the Rooms: The hotel comprises 130 well-appointed rooms spread across three levels. Rooms generally come equipped with essential amenities to ensure comfort. A key feature, often appreciated by guests, is the inclusion of a refrigerator, microwave, and coffee/tea maker in each room, allowing for food storage and preparation. Guest reviews confirm these amenities, stating, "bed was clean and amenities were good (fridge, microwave, coffee maker)." Rooms also include a 40-inch flat-screen TV with premium cable channels, a desk with a laptop workspace, and an iron/ironing board. For a good night's sleep, rooms offer premium bedding, blackout drapes/curtains, and climate control (air conditioning and heating). Private bathrooms feature a shower/tub combination (some with deep soaking tubs), free toiletries, and a hairdryer. While the official descriptions paint a picture of comfortable and clean rooms, it is crucial to address conflicting customer feedback. One review explicitly states, "Baby roaches and mid sized roaches everywhere... Rooms are pretty but they have to be coming from somewhere. It’s hard to sleep knowing that there are roaches everywhere in the crevices. Don’t recommend. You’re better off staying at the Holiday Inn across the street." This points to significant inconsistencies in cleanliness and pest control that potential guests should be aware of. Connecting/adjoining rooms are available upon request, and free cribs/infant beds can also be provided.

  • Policies and Accessibility: The Quality Inn Northlake has several policies that guests should be aware of:

    • Check-in time is typically 3:00 PM, and check-out is by 11:00 AM. Late check-out may be available for an hourly fee if extended beyond 11:00 AM, with a full day's charge if checking out after 2:00 PM.
    • The minimum age for check-in is 18. A refundable deposit of $200 USD is required at check-in for guests paying with cash, using Choice Privileges Points, or booking through a third party. This deposit is also required for all local guests (within a 30-mile radius of the hotel) regardless of payment method. It is refunded at check-out provided there are no damages, no smoking in the room, or no missing items.
    • The hotel has a maximum stay policy of 25 days, after which guests must check out for 48 hours before returning.
    • The Quality Inn Northlake is a pet-friendly hotel, welcoming two pets (dogs or cats) up to 50 lbs per room for an additional fee of $30 USD per pet, per night. A refundable credit card deposit is required for pets. Guests with pets are typically assigned to rooms on the first two floors, and pets should not be left unattended in guest rooms. Grassy areas are available on the property for pet relief. Service animals are welcome and exempt from fees.
    • The property is 100% smoke-free.
    • For accessibility, the hotel offers wheelchair-accessible parking, an accessible route from the public entrance to guestrooms and registration area, braille elevators, and accessible rooms featuring grab bars in showers/bathtubs, raised toilets, and visual alarms, demonstrating efforts to accommodate guests with disabilities.

  • Promotional Information and Special Notes: The Quality Inn Northlake generally offers competitive rates, and the inclusion of free continental breakfast and free Wi-Fi significantly adds to its value proposition. Free self-parking is available, with additional paid parking for RVs, buses, and trucks. While positive reviews often highlight the "good rate" and functional amenities, the negative feedback regarding pests is a significant concern that prospective guests should weigh. Given the conflicting reviews, it is recommended to directly contact the hotel at (770) 491-7444 or +1 770-491-7444 for the most current information on room availability, rates, and to address any specific concerns, particularly regarding cleanliness and pest control, before making a reservation. The hotel often highlights its location near various Atlanta attractions and business hubs, making it a potentially convenient choice for diverse travel needs.

In conclusion, the Quality Inn Northlake positions itself as an affordable and convenient option for those seeking 'Hotels Near Of Me' in the Atlanta area, particularly with its free breakfast, in-room amenities like microwaves and refrigerators, and proximity to Northlake Mall and major roads. While it aims to provide a pleasant stay with good value, the concerning customer reviews regarding cleanliness and pests indicate that potential guests should manage their expectations and consider verifying the current conditions directly with the hotel.

Yesterday (03/29/25) we arrived and checked in around 12:15am. After getting our room and bringing our things inside we were met with an infestation of bed bugs. My husband and I sat down for less than 30 seconds and began to see them on the bed. The back of my leg is now covered in the bites. We thankfully were able to get a refund processed through our booking website. However, after driving 10 hours and being ready for a clean place to stay, we were really disappointed this is what we were met with.

Byron, I sincerely hope that your GM takes your actions seriously, and something is done. My wife made a reservation, and called to double check we would be fine to bring my service dog. She was told that it would require documentation. I went ahead and called, because having a service animal, I am incredibly familiar with ADA laws and that requiring that is, quite simply, illegal. I was calm, polite, never once raised my voice or was rude. I welcome anyone with access to listen to the phone call. I have worked and continue to work in customer service, and I take being kind and considerate in the service industry very seriously. Byron, on the other hand, cut me off, yelled, and hung up on me. I called back to ask if I could speak to someone else, and was informed that he was the manager. I was then told, that if I had an issue with their policy, oh well, and to go ahead and sue. Called and spoke to Choice Hotels to file a complaint, and cancelled our reservation. A neighboring Quality Inn both gave us a better rate, and a suite, all while reassuring me that she was familiar with ADA laws and being appalled that anyone would have been trying to demand documentation AND acting so awful about it. Byron, I've included a screenshot from the ada.gov website. I would recommend that you, and your GM, familiarize yourselves with the ADA laws surrounding service animals. While I can empathize that you have issues with fake service animals, (SO DO I!) the law exists to protect those of us with real ones. Without a doubt one of the worst experiences I've had to deal with in the service industry in a very long time.

Location was just okay, not really walking distance to a ton of stuff, plenty of food options within driving distance though. Also not sure if I'd want to want around that area by myself or in the evening. Hotel overall was pretty decent (at least compared to some similarly priced options I've stayed at lately). Room was clean and updated. Sink drained well. Bed was comfortable. Tub and shower were clean and water pressure was good, temperature of water adjusted well. Room A/C was slightly finicky, didn't want to stay at a set temperature. Windows blinds worked very well and walls kept most noise muffled to a bearable degree. Breakfast options were somewhat limited, maybe at least have peanut butter for the bread items? Fat guest lady standing in front of the food for 10 minutes grabbing everything she could didn't help either. Guy at the front desk in the evenings was very helpful. Stayed two nights, left after first night and came back for second night and room key didn't work- kind of weird room key were already go bad after one night when staying for such a short time already. For the amount I paid, definitely would stay again.
