I am writing to express my disappointment with my husband’s and my stay on March 29, 2025, in Room 206. We chose this hotel to celebrate our wedding anniversary but were met with an issue that disrupted our plans. Before leaving our room at 1:54 PM, we noticed cockroaches near the entrance, took photos, and immediately contacted the front desk. We were told the only solution was a chemical treatment, as a room change was not possible due to the hotel being fully booked. After waiting with no follow-up, we went to the front desk in person and were informed that we would need to stay out of the room for hours while the treatment dried. Since we were traveling with our puppy, we had to leave the hotel and cancel a planned activity to accommodate the treatment process. I also requested to see the chemical’s ingredients to ensure our pet’s safety. The treatment was finally applied at 2:45 PM, and although we waited outside until 3:15 PM, it was still not dry upon our return. We were forced to continue adjusting our schedule and staying out for another hour. What was meant to be a short weekend getaway quickly turned into an inconvenience due to the hotel’s lack of preparation. We were finally able to return to our room at 4:45 PM, but by then, we had lost valuable time and missed planned activities. Our frustration grew because we had previously stayed at this hotel during Hurricane Helene and had a great experience, which is why we chose to return. As a military family, we appreciate businesses that value service members, making the lack of customer care all the more disappointing. Instead of a sincere apology or attempt to make up for the inconvenience, the manager on duty was dismissive, simply saying, “Sorry, but that’s all I can do,” in an unfriendly tone. As someone in customer service, I understand the importance of professionalism and empathy, which were missing from our experience. I hope this feedback helps improve how similar situations are handled.

Based on customer reviews, the hotel generally receives positive feedback, with high ratings for cleanliness, staff and service, and overall property conditions. Many guests commend the friendly and helpful front desk staff, often highlighting individual employees for their exceptional service. The convenient location and value for money are also frequently praised. The free breakfast and ample parking are consistent positives.

However, some past guest experiences highlight areas for improvement. One detailed review recounts a significant inconvenience due to a pest issue (cockroaches) and a subsequent chemical treatment that disrupted a planned anniversary celebration. The lack of proactive solutions, the need to vacate the room for an extended period, and a perceived dismissive attitude from the manager on duty led to disappointment. Another review mentions an intrusive housekeeping experience where a "do not disturb" sign was overlooked, and while towels were refreshed, trash was not collected. There have been mentions of the daytime staff being less responsive to phone calls than the evening staff. Despite these isolated issues, the overarching sentiment from many guests is positive, with repeat stays suggesting satisfaction. The hotel aims to provide a hassle-free stay with its modern amenities and focus on essential comforts, making it a practical choice for those searching for "Hotels Near Me" in the Atlanta Northlake area.

Comfortable rooms and a trendy, well-appointed lobby, with good breakfast and ample parking. The evening lobby staff were fantastic, friendly, and helpful; the daytime staff put me on hold and never picked up the phone. Housekeeping came into the room when I was out during the day and had the "do not disturb" on the door. They refreshed the towels, but didn't touch the trash, and I didn't need new towels. That felt intrusive. So, that was good and bad.

First time in Atlanta got in about 11:30 or so I stayed at the Tru on Saturday (22nd) The young lady I first encountered was very pleasant and helpful, can't remember her name. She let me use the bathroom to get dressed for my brother's funeral and also let me leave my bag there until I got back, my checking wasn't until 3:00 .Sunday ( 23rd ) Went down for breakfast, was good , only thing was that I burnt up my bagel because I did not know how to use the machine, the guy at the desk did not ask did I need any help but right after that a gentleman came up and he walked over and showed him how to use the machine I felt some kind of way about that. Only thing I can say bad about the room ( no microwave , my toiletries were not filled ). Monday ( 24th ) went down for breakfast ( the attendant was rude when I asked her about the yogurt machine ) . All in all the stay was great.

Our Mother’s Day trip to ATL was amazing, thanks to Brand at Tru by Hilton Atlanta Northlake Parkway! He went above and beyond to make sure our room was perfect; away from the elevator just like I requested, so I could enjoy some real peace and quiet (not even my teenage son could break the silence!). The hotel was clean, the gym was open and spotless, and my son had a blast playing pool. I also had fun figuring out the fresh hot pancake machine at breakfast—wasn’t sure I was using it right at first, but turns out it just needed to be on the mixer setting. Parking was super convenient, and it’s right by my favorite grocery store. Truly a great stay—we’ll definitely be back! 🍶Want to know more about what I’m up to? I travel a lot and I always stay at Hilton or Hilton chain hotel. This Tru sets itself in the middle for rooms. The floor in my room felt spongy like maybe once upon a time had some large amount of water spill on it and it absorbed. I did like the pool table in the lobby and the employees were nice and friendly.
