Overall, it was a good stay, clean, easy check-in, and great location. I experienced some issues with the communication. Really appreciate the team's follow-up call to sort that out. It's clear they are trying to continuously improve things with their unique set-up.

Jan 30, 2025 · Youngju Annie ParkNo personnel on site. Dirty dishes in dishwasher. Toilet was running non stop. I called for help and was told they would see if they could find someone to help. I fixed it myself. TV lost connection. I called and asked for login credentials. Was told it would reconnect by itself -- this happens often. Reconnected two hours later. Same thing happened on night two. Finally, worse of all, the room was ice cold. Heat never got above 60 -- set on high fan, heat only blew cold air. Didn't bother calling, they wouldn't help anyway. Oh one more thing -- charged $20 extra to check in 1 hour early. The only good thing was the location.
Jan 10, 2025 · Michael SperlingOverall, great stay for five nights. They have double pane windows so the street noise is a minimum. This is an old Tenement building so there was some noise from the folks above us but really no noise from the rooms on the same floor. The check in process is smooth. This is a contactless hotel; like an air BnB. They don't really give customers much advance warning on how check in works. I was a bit concerned a few days before the trip since I hadn't received any emails or confirmation. I called and spoke to someone who was very helpful and kind. She explained that they contact customers via text the day before and ask for some registration info. The day of check in, one receives a text and email with the codes to the building and room. It went smoothy. The room was generally clean but the towels weren't perfectly free of some stains. We did get servicing and clean towels most days however; they were all clean after that first day. The only other minor nit was the TP holder in the bathroom was broken so we had to keep the roll on the back of the toilet. No big deal but it was strange that they couldn't somehow figure out how to get it fixed the entire five days we were there. If I were at home with my tools, that thing would have been fixed in 15 minutes. We'll likely stay again since we have family in the immediate area. It's just a hop and skip to NYU, there is a Wegmans supermarket within walking distance over at Astor Place and the MTA Bus, M8 (cross town), M15 (north/south), and the SBS M14 (crosstown) are all very close by and terrific systems to use. These will get one up to Midtown, downtown to Wall Street and over to Chelsea no problem. Much like the MTA subway, all one has to have to jump on the bus is a credit card to hop aboard with the OMNY payment scanners. As far as subways go, the East/West L train is just a few blocks north and the 6 running N/S is just a few blocks to the west. Lots of great coffee shops and restaurants nearby within walking distance as well. I highly recommend Mud Cafe which is just a few doors down to the west of the hotel. Tompkins park is right nearby for a morning walk. It's the East Village, what's not to like?
Jan 01, 2025 · Aaron Drake1st issue was I got here an hour early, and they charged me $20 for early check-in. If I knew this in advance, I would have just gone to Starbucks, chilled out for an hour, and pay less for coffee. 2nd issue. No hair dryer for my girlfriend to use, and they don't have anyone on the premises to bring you a hair dryer even tho the listing said it was available. I regret not looking at Google review before booking!! It is also very loud with people outside!!!
Dec 31, 2024 · Huan DRooms could be cleaner and linens could use a refresh, but overall this is a great budget stay. Perfect location, and we didn’t find it noisy at all. Housekeeping stopped by to ask if we needed anything. Check-in was clear and easy. Definitely would stay here again.
