This is the most horrid place I have ever been to. The owner/staff is so unprofessional. Rooms condition seen in pictures and I have a full video. They refused a refund even with a feces marked chair, the faucet handle was not even set into the sink. Bed smelled of urine. Floor rugs were sticky and awful. I would not even use the parking lot to turn around! Stay away.

Services and Amenities
Econo Lodge properties typically offer a standard set of amenities designed to provide essential comforts for travelers. Based on general information for this Econo Lodge and typical brand offerings, the hotel aims to provide:
Important Note on Services and Amenities (Based on Customer Reviews):
It is crucial for potential guests to be aware that recent customer reviews indicate significant discrepancies and issues regarding the advertised services and amenities. For example, some reviews explicitly state that the advertised indoor pool is not in use and is filled with mattresses, and that breakfast, despite being advertised, may not be available or of poor quality. Issues with room functionality, such as non-working TVs, missing remote batteries, and non-functional refrigerators, have also been reported. While the hotel states it offers amenities, the condition and actual availability of these amenities, particularly the pool and breakfast, appear to be a point of contention among recent guests.
Features and Unique Selling Points
As a budget-oriented hotel, the Econo Lodge Brattleboro's primary features and selling points typically revolve around affordability and basic convenience.
Important Note on Features (Based on Customer Reviews):
While the above are generally advertised features, recent customer feedback highlights significant concerns regarding the actual condition and reliability of these features. Issues such as the condition of the rooms (e.g., strong odors, dirty and sticky floors, feces-marked chairs, loose fixtures), unkempt facilities, and lack of functioning amenities (like the pool) suggest that the actual guest experience may fall short of advertised features. The discrepancies in room descriptions (e.g., bed sizes) and staff responsiveness to complaints are also significant concerns raised by guests.
Promotional Information and Target Audience
The Econo Lodge brand, including the Brattleboro location, generally targets travelers who prioritize affordability and basic amenities over luxury or extensive services. Within the "Hotels Near Of Me" category, it would typically appeal to:
Promotional efforts for Econo Lodge usually focus on its value proposition: an "easy stop on the road" with "all the amenities you need so you can stick to your budget." The hotel might highlight its complimentary breakfast, free Wi-Fi, and pet-friendly policy in its marketing. However, potential guests are strongly advised to consider the recent customer reviews available online. These reviews, which are publicly accessible, provide a critical perspective on the actual state of the property, its cleanliness, the functionality of its amenities, and the overall guest experience. Given the severe negative feedback concerning conditions and service, while the hotel advertises certain features and aims to serve a budget-conscious market, prospective visitors should manage their expectations and thoroughly research recent guest experiences before booking. The feedback indicates that the current state of the property may not consistently align with the standard expectations for even a budget hotel.

May 10, 2025 路 MX BenardWhere do i start? Let me say, if I could give this dump 0 stars all around, I would have based on the crappy service and the sketchy people that live here. We are from Rhode Island and we were going somewhere close to this establishment. It was a lot of driving for us to do in one day so we booked a night at this place specifically because they advertised that they had breakfast and a pool. We upgraded to the 2 queen-size beds room. When we arrived, the room smelled like cigarettes (it clearly says 馃毇smoking on the door), the beds were not queen size but full size and the TV didn't work which didn't matter because someone took the batteries out of the remote. My husband went to the office and the front desk guy argued that the beds were queen and that "You're queen size bed at home is different than the queen size here" The guy sent some other guy to look at the TV. He told us "I'll tell my manager" We never heard back from anyone. They advertise that there is an indoor pool. Well, its filled with matresses and definetly not in use. The problem I have is that this dump says it has amenities that they don't have and/or dont honor. I'm going to guess that there is no breakfast here , as they advertise. I wouldn't come back here if it were free or if you paid me and I would never recommend anyone to come here either.
Nov 24, 2024 路 Jill ChattmanWorse experience. Management sucked. The last room i was in hadn't been cleaned in forever seemed like. Refrigerator didn't work, the TV had no remote, it smelled like cigarette smoke, the toilet seat was loose, the shower was rigged(you had to turn on a valve for the water to run out and then turn the regular handle), there was black shoe prints on the side of the toilet, and the water in the sink took forever to drain out. When I asked the manager about a refund, he told me that the owner said the next time I want to rent a room, I can look at the room first before I pay for it. The only good thing about the place is the location. I gave one star, but it deserves no stars and needs better management. I do hope they read this review as well. 馃檪
Sep 30, 2024 路 Wayne WomackI knew the location of this Econo Lodge. However, I did not expect the mess at the property. It's clear that they are either in the process of renovating or do not have staff to finish it. Our room had a nice floor and the bed was OK. The rest was a mess. The linens were all stained, towels and sheets. Maybe they were clean but they looked awful. And there is obviously no pride of ownership here. The plumbing was quite a rigged up mess. The shower tiles were very poorly installed., The painting looked like one coat was slapped onto just about every vertical surface, except for some obvious areas that really needed it. And places that aren't supposed to be painted were half painted. There were unpainted 2x4s attached to the walls and ceiling. There was a sign in the lobby to review the place online. So, here is my review. If this wasn't the only place available for us we surely would have asked for a refund and stayed somewhere else.
Jul 22, 2024 路 Raymond GiolittoAll the blankets were stained and burnd, including the matters. No bed bugs. I used my own blankets and pillows (road trip).
