I have a reservation. I drove 100s of miles today and now that I at the hotel, I'm told they don't have ANY rooms!?!?!?!? Lady at the front desk couldn't care less that I'm out in the cold now. AVOID! Unless you want you and your loved ones to die in the street.

The hotel is a 100% smoke-free property, aiming to ensure a cleaner and healthier environment for all guests. It offers both an indoor heated pool and a seasonal outdoor pool, providing recreational options throughout the year. There is also a picnic area for outdoor enjoyment. However, it's important to acknowledge that some guest reviews have reported issues with the ambiance, including a strong disinfectant smell in the lobby and, more seriously, mentions of cigarette and "dope" smells, along with concerns about suspicious activity within the premises. These are significant points that potential guests should be aware of, as they indicate inconsistencies in maintaining a universally positive environment.

However, it is crucial for prospective guests to consider the varied and at times highly negative customer reviews. While some reviews praise the "great location and great breakfast" and mention "friendly staff" and "clean and comfortable" rooms, a significant number of recent reviews raise serious concerns. One customer reported arriving with a reservation only to be told there were "NO rooms," despite driving hundreds of miles, and criticized the front desk's lack of concern. Another highly negative review described the place as "Bad place for family," citing "Bad smell, cigarettes and dope," and an alarming incident where a "lady knock on my door on the second floor around 4am asking me if I could score her some 'hard' Bad drugs." This reviewer also mentioned "Bad management" and suggested the hotel needed to be "fix up or it will be condemned." Further negative feedback includes claims of "sex trafficking, drugs and prostitution going on especially on the weekends," "dirty" rooms with "filthy ACs," "hairs on the towels, sheets," and "broken hotel rooms" requiring multiple room changes. There are also reports of management issues, including refusal to honor free nights earned with points and police involvement due to guest complaints. These very serious allegations and negative experiences should be thoroughly considered.
In conclusion, while the Quality Inn & Conference Center in Brattleboro, VT, offers a wide array of amenities including pools, free breakfast, and meeting facilities, its objective appeal is significantly impacted by severe negative guest feedback concerning safety, cleanliness, and management. Prospective guests should exercise caution and conduct thorough due diligence, prioritizing recent reviews, before booking a stay at this property, especially when considering the "Hotels Near Of Me" category for a potentially convenient but potentially problematic experience.

Jan 31, 2025 · Larry ThereonIs there a way to give this dumpster of a hotel negative review? In any rate, here goes. When my wife and I were in that trash heap, I first noticed a bad oder from the halls, and the room smelled of body oder and wet dog. Then my wife kept getting bit up. We were wondering where the bites were coming from. Then we saw them, bedbugs coming from the pillows. We saw a few on the walls. A few squashed on the walls in the halls. We told the staff. They told me that we were to blame for the infestation. We later told a new guest about the issue and got kicked out and banned. I wouldn't go there and I would not recommend anyone to go there. The Hilton next door is much, much better. Go there!
Jul 04, 2024 · James ShortThe exterior decor was very inviting, staff was very friendly and helpful and the beds were very comfortable. The bathrooms were not so clean looking. There were black mold spots on the ceiling over the shower and on some of the tile grout. The breakfast in the morning was okay with a fresh fruit salad. I didn't like the fact that the side door open all night with no security cameras. Made me feel unsafe. Anyone can walk in and out of the hotel. A few finishing details that need to be touched up. The picture on my TV screen was not clear a bit fuzzy. Otherwise one of the most inexpensive stays in this area.
Nov 03, 2015 · Melissa LoganIt was much better than I expected after reading the reviews. The carpet in the common areas is filthy and nobody bothers to vacuum it, but the room was clean and it looked like it had been redone not that long ago. The bed was comfortable and the bedding was clean. I had an issue with the room I got assigned originally (the door would not lock), but the receptionist took care of it relatively quickly. My request to get a quiet room was also accommodated and I heard no noise during the night. I did not care for the breakfast after taking a quick look at it; I think it was worse than what you would normally expect at a motel, but I guess it was better than nothing. Overall, it did not disappoint. I gave it two starts because of the dirty hallway carpet and the food, but it is a step up from the Motel 6, which is on the same road and is sometimes more expensive.
