This hotel was recommended us by our friends when we planned to go to the city. It is an inexpensive nice clean hotel and we spent a couple nights there while arriving at Philadelphia for the event. They have a free transfer from an airport. I called them to order it but they told me that the shuttle comes every 20 minutes. It was also very useful when we went to downtown because the train came from the airport to there. You can order a breakfast or lunch but we didn't; don't forget that they DON'T HAVE A FREE BREAKFAST that every hotel always has. The calls from a room phone cost money, but it was not a problem, we used cell phones. Everything in the room worked flawlessly, the wardrobe had enough holders for clothes that we brought to the event and to go downtown see the sights for the next day before our flight. For using the shower tap you need to not just turn it, but also pull it towards you and turn it, but we figured it out :). The hotel was quiet at night, the bed and pillows were comfortable. It was a good stay and we will book this hotel back if we will be in Philadelphia again but it would be better to have a free breakfast option there.
Welcome to the Four Points by Sheraton Philadelphia Airport, conveniently situated at 4101A Island Ave, Philadelphia, PA 19153, USA. For travelers and local users seeking "Hotels Near Of Me," especially those requiring proximity to Philadelphia International Airport (PHL) or easy access to downtown Philadelphia, this hotel offers a practical and generally comfortable lodging option. You can reach them at (215) 492-0400 or via mobile at +1 215-492-0400 for reservations and inquiries.
The Four Points by Sheraton brand is known for offering a comfortable and uncomplicated stay with a focus on essential amenities. This particular location serves as a reliable base for individuals and groups visiting Philadelphia for events, business, or leisure, particularly those flying in or out of PHL. While guest experiences can vary, the hotel aims to provide a functional and hospitable environment.
The environment at Four Points by Sheraton Philadelphia Airport presents a mixed impression. On one hand, guests report that the hotel is "quiet at night," and rooms are generally perceived as "clean," with "the bed and pillows comfortable." This suggests that the fundamental aspects of a good night's sleep are generally met. The rooms are equipped with necessary amenities, such as wardrobes with "enough holders for clothes," indicating practical considerations for travelers.
However, some aspects of the hotel's ambiance suggest an older property. Reviewers noted that "the hotel's amenities are old and feel outdated." A significant concern raised by a guest was the "horrible smell of the old carpet" in the elevator and subsequently in the room, making it unpleasant to walk barefoot. The AC unit in the room was also described as "extremely loud, waking me up multiple times during the night with a bang each time it turned on." These elements can detract significantly from the overall comfort and ambiance, despite the bed itself being comfortable. The decor is functional, though it might not align with contemporary design trends. The focus here is on utility and location rather than modern aesthetics.
The service at Four Points by Sheraton Philadelphia Airport, while generally described as "Very friendly," has shown some inconsistencies based on customer feedback. The check-in process is noted as "easy and fast," which is a positive for travelers, especially after a long journey. The staff in the restaurant were described as "really nice."
A key service feature is the "free transfer from an airport." Guests can call to order it, and the hotel advises that "the shuttle comes every 20 minutes," providing a convenient transportation link for airport arrivals and departures. This service is highly valued by travelers using PHL. Additionally, the hotel's proximity to the airport also facilitates access to downtown Philadelphia via train, as "the train came from the airport to there," indicating that the hotel can serve as a convenient base for exploring the city.
However, one specific interaction with a manager during check-in was highlighted as unusual and less than ideal. The manager's insistence on knowing the "exact time" of check-out, citing a need for housekeeper scheduling and his own absence, was perceived as an "unusual" request, given that "check-out times are typically specified to be before a certain hour." The guest also felt that "A smile from the manager would have been appreciated," suggesting a lack of warmth in this particular interaction. This indicates that while general staff friendliness is present, there might be instances of less consistent customer service from management. It's also important for guests to note that "calls from a room phone cost money," which, while not a major issue for cell phone users, is a point to be aware of.
The Four Points by Sheraton Philadelphia Airport offers several features designed for the convenience of travelers, especially those in transit:
The hotel is positioned as an "inexpensive nice clean hotel," appealing to budget-conscious travelers who prioritize convenience and basic comforts over luxurious or cutting-edge amenities. The shower tap operation requiring a pull and turn motion is a minor detail that guests may need to figure out but isn't a significant functional issue.
The Four Points by Sheraton Philadelphia Airport is promoted as a practical and well-located option for individuals seeking "Hotels Near Of Me," particularly for those traveling through PHL or planning to visit downtown Philadelphia. Its key selling points are its affordability, clean and comfortable beds, and the highly convenient complimentary airport shuttle service, along with direct train access to the city center.
For travelers planning a stay, it's important to set expectations regarding the hotel's age and potential for outdated amenities, as well as the absence of a free breakfast. However, for those prioritizing location, ease of airport access, and a comfortable sleeping arrangement without a premium price tag, it remains a viable choice. The positive feedback about comfortable beds and quiet nights (when AC noise is not an issue) suggests that the hotel can deliver on its core promise of rest. Repeat guests stating "we will book this hotel back if we will be in Philadelphia again" indicate a level of satisfaction despite some drawbacks. While improvements in manager interaction, carpet condition, and AC noise would undoubtedly enhance the experience, the hotel's fundamental offerings make it a functional option for its target demographic near the airport.

Feb 10, 2025 · Yulia AgeevaThe hotel's amenities are old and feel outdated, but this isn't a major issue since the bed is clean and comfortable. However, upon check-in, the manager asked me the exact time I would check out, which was unusual. I provided an approximate time, but he insisted on knowing the exact time because he wouldn't be there in the morning, and the housekeeper needed to clean the room. This was the first time I'd encountered such a request at a hotel, where check-out times are typically specified to be before a certain hour. A smile from the manager would have been appreciated. My first bad impression was confirmed when I took the elevator and was greeted by the horrible smell of the old carpet. I had to hold my breath until I reached the second floor. I dropped my bag off and headed to the restaurant for a light snack, where the staff were really nice, but the food was not great. Once I got to my room, I found the AC unit to be extremely loud, waking me up multiple times during the night with a bang each time it turned on. Even after covering my ears with a pillow, I could still hear it.The carpet in the room also had a very bad smell, so I didn't dare walk barefoot and kept my shoes on. It is now 5am. I am looking forward for the sunrise while I am writing this review. All in all, I had a sleepless night and regretted not booking the Sheraton next door.
Mar 05, 2025 · H BI had a horrible experience at a different property which I promptly left. I came into The Four Points and had a wonderful experience. Kemani was extremely helpful and vary accommodating. She was a breath of fresh air from the last place I was at.
May 12, 2025 · Dennis RiceThis area is not safe. There were notices put up in hotel warning of the crime. The room was absolutely disgusting, dried blood on wall, sink coming out of wall, rust and mildew. After an exhausting day, I ordered door dash and went to bed. Would never stay at this hotel again. I’ve always loved Marriott’s and this was appalling.
May 13, 2025 · Lyssa PfauthHotel stay was perfectly fine. Nice room. Nice location. Comfortable bed and pillows. Quiet. Great night sleep before an early flight. Upon landing 7 days later, we Waited over 40 minutes at the airport for a shuttle !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Called the hotel twice to tell them to send one ! Driver argued that I missed one. Others groups were also there so we did Not miss it. It never came. This was after numerous delays at the airport in Jamaica as well. Turned a bad day into an even worse day. Icing on the cake. Do better Sheraton. Unacceptable.
