I stayed here in business for three nights in April while working around the area including in Boston. Hotel is located directly off 95/128 and is convenient to practically all areas of metro Boston. It was easy to get to Alewife or Riverside MBTA to park and get into the city (which having an option worked well for me considering the red line decided to have smoke in the tunnels one morning). Evening commute from Newton one day was surprisingly easy too. The hotels restaurant is basic but I did eat breakfast there two mornings and dinner each night of my stay. Service was great and they had a decent beer selection of both domestic but also local beers which I always greatly appreciate. Food was all great. Room was very clean and well renovated. I really liked the nightlight in the coffee/refrigerator nook and the bathroom, while cramped, was really well appointed. My room also had a small walk-in closet off the bedroom which was nice. Parking is free which was a huge value add for me but the rate was also very competitive for the area. I almost didn’t book it because I had to wonder what was wrong but I’m glad I stayed here. Will most definitely stay here again should I have to come down south again!

The Hilton Garden Inn Boston/Waltham boasts a highly convenient location directly off Interstate 95 (I-95, also known as Route 128), placing it in a strategic position for easy navigation throughout the metro Boston area. This direct highway access is a significant advantage for guests traveling by car, allowing for straightforward commutes to various business parks, corporate offices (such as IBM and Microsoft which are minutes away), and nearby universities like Bentley College and Brandeis University. The reviews emphasize its excellent connectivity, noting it's "convenient to practically all areas of metro Boston."
While the hotel is situated in a commercial and suburban corridor rather than a bustling urban center, its proximity to I-95 means that guests can easily access public transportation options, such as the Alewife or Riverside MBTA stations (Red Line and Green Line, respectively), to venture into downtown Boston without the hassle of city driving and expensive parking. This makes it a practical choice for both business engagements and leisure exploration of Boston's historical sites, cultural attractions, and entertainment venues, including Fenway Park, Faneuil Hall, and the New England Aquarium, all within a reasonable driving distance.
The immediate environment around the hotel, being off a major highway, may not be rich in walk-to amenities like numerous restaurants or shops. However, the hotel's on-site dining and convenience store address many immediate needs. The property itself is well-maintained, offering a pleasant and quiet atmosphere conducive to rest and productivity, even with its highway-adjacent location.
The Hilton Garden Inn Boston/Waltham is well-equipped with amenities designed to cater to both the needs of business travelers and leisure guests. Key offerings include:
One of the most notable features of the Hilton Garden Inn Boston/Waltham, as evidenced by customer feedback, is its consistently high standard of cleanliness and maintenance. Guests frequently commend the hotel for being "super clean" and "well maintained," which contributes significantly to a comfortable stay. The recent renovations have further enhanced the guest experience, bringing modern touches and functionality to the rooms.
The on-site dining, particularly the quality of the breakfast and dinner at The Garden Grille & Bar, is a standout feature, providing a convenient and satisfying option for meals without having to leave the hotel. The free parking is another highly valued aspect, offering significant savings and convenience in an area where parking can be a challenge.
The hotel's strategic location right off I-95 is a strong selling point for accessibility, allowing guests to easily navigate the region, whether for business or to access Boston's attractions via a short drive or public transit connections.

It is always recommended to check the official Hilton website for current promotions, special offers, or package deals that might be available for specific travel dates.
While the reviews are overwhelmingly positive, a few minor considerations are worth noting. While the hotel restaurant food is praised, some guests mention that there isn't much close by in terms of other food options within easy walking distance, reinforcing the value of the on-site dining. Parking is described as being "up a small hill," which is a minor detail but good to know for guests with mobility concerns or a lot of luggage. Also, while convenient, the breakfast at The Garden Grille comes with a surcharge, which some travelers might overlook if expecting a complimentary breakfast.
For individuals and families seeking "Hotels Near Of Me" in the Waltham area, the Hilton Garden Inn Boston/Waltham offers a reliable, clean, and highly-rated experience. May 12, 2025 · DslgateI travel for business and have done so for over 2 decades, meaning I stay in lots of hotels. This hands down is one of the top hotels I’ve ever stayed in. It’s well run, it’s super clean, well maintained, super kind helpful employees, great food in the restaurant. I will all hotels were like this. Extra shout out to Eddy at the front desk was so helpful! A few items of consideration. Parking is up a small hill and there isn’t much close by in terms of food which was thing because the food at the hotel was really good.
May 18, 2025 · Jill ReneeTo say the staff has attention to detail would be an understatement, as even housekeeping would touch up paint in the hallways after neurotically vacuuming throughout the day. If you are looking for cleanliness and a facility impeccably maintained, this is it. Easily accessible off the interstate, convenient parking, and 24-hour customer service on site (even had a fully stocked snack and beverage bar open in case you arrived on a late flight and you were ravenous). The hotel restaurant had some great options and I had to include a few pics as it truly exceeded expectations. I have to applaud guys, you all are doing it right.
Apr 08, 2025 · A Perdomo HainesI had a pleasant and comfortable stay at the hotel. The atmosphere was cozy and quiet, and I appreciated having a Keurig coffee maker and a nice refrigerator in the room. I didn't experience any issues, and the cost was reasonable. I also appreciated that they allowed me to check in early. The only drawbacks were that they don't offer complimentary breakfast and checkout is at 11 AM instead of 12 PM. Overall, it was a good experience, and I would consider staying here again.
Mar 18, 2025 · Gyasi McKinzieThe day we were arriving, I received an email from somebody at the hotel saying there was a problem with my credit card. The email was addressed to somebody else but had the right reservation number. So I figure it was spam or a scam, right? I called anyway to be sure. The person I spoke with said there's no problem, you've already been charged for the hotel stay. So why the email I ask? They said I'll put you on hold and call the front desk to ask, please stand by. Then they hung up on me. Some time later I tried using the chat function in the Hilton Honors app to see what was going on, eventually the same person who emailed me responded and said it was valid and they needed to reverify my credit card. I confirmed that the details I had given them were correct and asked that they reverify. No response from that person, a few hours later somebody else responded saying that person stepped away from their desk and should they send me a form to fill out to provide the credit card info. I just waited until we got to the hotel, they ran my card and there were no issues. So I'm not sure what that whole issue was about. Also, the digital room key never worked. It just kept saying "retry" but wouldn't actually open the door. The physical key worked great though.
