Boston's Western at Waltham deserves a five star rating. The property is well maintained with excellent amenities. The food is good. The rooms are well proportioned with beds that are "heavenly" just as advertised. Most of all though, the factor that can make or break any hotel stay, is the staff. We were here on business. My wife said it in one word: "awesome" and I have to agree. They are unfailingly courteous and well trained. This is a very well managed property

While the majority of reviews for The Westin Waltham Boston are positive, particularly highlighting the excellent staff and well-maintained property, it is important to acknowledge all feedback. Some guests have reported issues with "hidden costs," particularly regarding parking, and occasional overcharges on their bills. These instances suggest that guests should carefully review their final bill upon check-out and inquire about any charges they don't understand. Furthermore, while the hotel is pet-friendly, one review mentioned an issue where a service dog was placed near the elevator, causing distress, leading to complaints about the hotel's handling of the situation. This highlights the importance of communicating specific needs or concerns with the hotel prior to arrival, especially for guests with service animals or those sensitive to noise.
The hotel charges for in-room Wi-Fi, and cooked-to-order breakfast is available for a fee, which are points to note for budget planning, as these are sometimes complimentary at other hotel tiers. Covered on-site self-parking is also available for a daily fee, including in/out privileges.
In conclusion, The Westin Waltham Boston presents itself as a strong contender for those seeking "Hotels Near Of Me" in the Waltham area, particularly if a premium experience, excellent amenities, and a focus on well-being are priorities. Its strategic location, coupled with its renowned Heavenly Beds, robust fitness facilities, and extensive event spaces, makes it suitable for a wide range of travelers. While vigilance regarding billing and clear communication of specific needs are advisable, the overwhelmingly positive feedback regarding staff and property quality suggests a generally superior guest experience.

Feb 20, 2025 · D GUPDATE : went back down to Hotel to get help to resolve some of the issues. The manger that I spoke to was kind, patient and helped resolve the issue . So the over charge was taken care of. Better experience than when we checked out. There was hidden cost and we were over charged. I had gone to desk 3/4 times to get settled was told the last time it was all settled. But when looked at bill on card it showed it was not taken care of. They also had a service dog and they put us right near the elevator where people were leaning on the door while they waited for the elevator which caused the dog to bark. She was quiet all night no noise at all. Was told that she barked at 5pm and a security guard came up and knocked on door but no one came we were in room. Told at 7pm she barked BUT when we went to check on her at this time people were leaning on our door so yes she was barking. Not impressed with hotels behavior or the way they treated us. Not a place I recommend. If you do go PLEASE make sure they don't charge you more than they are suppose to.
Apr 22, 2025 · Evelyn OBrienExcellent location! The breakfast options are amazing. Parking and check in was convenient. Great location, 25 min from the city. Housekeeping could be improved. After two days they didn’t even change the sheets.
Apr 25, 2025 · Sarah PinkertonMarriott lifetime elite gold: the hotel needs a complete renovation. The staff is nice, but that’s all. Rooms have a very loud air conditioning units and heating systems run on some HVAC system which is way too loud. It’s impossible to sleep without using earplugs. Breakfast buffet is very limited with below average food quality. Avocado toast was good, but all other options were quite bad. Waitress was very surprised when I ordered raw vegetables (tomatoes and bell peppers) with the toast. It seems that healthy food is not on their list at all
Mar 29, 2025 · Michal RehakHighly recommend staying here. We had a great experience - front desk staff was very welcoming and helpful, the bed was so comfortable, like sinking into a cozy cloud, smooth check in and check out, we went to breakfast, had a choice of ordering from a menu or choosing the buffet. The in hotel Starbucks Barista and the restaurant staff (thank you Elizabeth!!) were also very polite and welcoming. I loved the little details as well, like the lavender roll on oil next to the bed, fluffy towels, robe, menus on the table. If we find ourselves back in the area we will definitely choose The Westin!
