Hilton Garden Inn NYC Financial Center/Manhattan Downtown

Location-wise, very convenient and quiet during the night. We first stayed here in 2023 and enjoyed our experience, so we booked it again this year. However, I was disappointed this time. While the front desk were very friendly and accommodating, the quality of service had taken a sharp decline. We asked the staff to relay to housekeeping that we needed fresh towels daily, and we almost never received a full, clean set. The sheets were coming off the bed upon our arrival, and the shower was not very clean. The water pressure in the shower was also shockingly weak. The housekeeping staff did not speak any English, so even communicating with them to get an additional towel proved to be a challenge. However, asking them directly proved to be beneficial, as it seems the front desk were not relaying our messages to them. Overall, we may splurge for something nicer next time, it seems that the quality is not what it used to be.

The Hilton Garden Inn Financial Center offers a privileged location in Manhattan and a spacious room, but leaves a lot to be desired in terms of service and attention to detail. For such a high price, we expected a much higher standard, especially as a Hilton hotel. The experience was by far the worst value for money we've ever had when traveling, delivering less even than more economical lodgings. Positive points: - Excellent location. - Spacious room with fridge and microwave. - Friendly and efficient reception staff. Negative points: - Problems with the thermostat (extreme cold and noise). - Serious shortcomings in replenishing amenities. - Inconsistent housekeeping service. - Bed comfort and pillows far below expectations. If location is the only determining factor, it could be a viable option. However, if you expect quality service, comfort and the Hilton standard of excellence, this hotel doesn't deliver. I don't recommend it. We filed a complaint with the Customer Service Center and they never got back to us. Lack of customer care.

We were able to check in early which was nice. Our first room was by the elevator and not cleaned- sheets appeared dirty and there was an odor. Our second room was clean, but the TV didn’t work. We asked for help with the tv more than once and it finally started working on our last day. We asked the front desk for a place for a quick bite and he directed us to a nearby place that was closed. That’s all I can remember. I enjoyed being near the ferry and subway but I saw other hotels I would choose next time, mostly due to the service.

This hotel is great for the location. Looking at the sunrise and sunset is so beautiful. The room is on the smaller side but it's NYC plus it was very reasonably priced so that was okay to me. I didn't like how the bathroom didn't have actual doors just a slide door but it is to save space. The staff was extremely nice, they let me check in early as well. The food on the 2nd floor is delicious and had a great experience with them. I felt safe here, transportation close by. I would definitely come back here.

I booked this hotel because it had a gym. I wanted to do 6 miles on the treadmill since I am running the New York half marathon. I told the front desk that none of the treadmills were working as you can see and she said she would have maintenance fix them which was a lie. They never got fixed and no explanation. We book a hotel due to the amenities they offer so it's better to state that treadmills don't work. They only have two treadmills for display since they don't work. If you are a fitness fanatic do yourself a favor and find another hotel. I can say for the stay this is one and done for me. Hilton Honors members like me please take note.
