Holiday Inn Express Queens - Maspeth by IHG

I had a fantastic stay at Holiday Inn Express Queens - Maspeth! The hotel was clean, modern, and well-maintained. The staff was friendly and accommodating, making check-in and check-out a breeze. My room was spacious, comfortable, and had all the necessary amenities for a great night's sleep. The complimentary breakfast was a nice touch, with plenty of options to start the day. The location is convenient, with easy access to Manhattan and surrounding areas. Plus, the free parking is a huge bonus! I would definitely stay here again.

Absolutely horrific experience. I booked a stay for two nights and when I got there to check in I was told they over booked and there was only one room available, and if I wanted it I'd have to pay an increased price. I had no choice so had to do it, so that was a cool situation. I got to my room and it was 87 degrees. After leaving the window open for 3 hours it got down to 76. A pretty absurd thing to deal with when I'm being charged $500 a night. I had to wait and hope there was an additional room open the following day (again, I booked this two night stay in advance), and again had to pay an increased fee. During the entire stay, only one elevator worked. The other elevator being broken the entire time I was there was ironic, as there is an elevator repair company directly across the street. On top of all this, the shower was horrible. Lukewarm water and low pressure. I'll never stay at a Holiday Inn again due to this experience, and I caution anyone considering this particular hotel.

Convenient location for us (went to a show at the Knockdown Center). Easy to park. Offer charging for EV's (not free but available). Rooms clean. Bed comfortable. Really good variety of foods for breakfast and of good quality. Front desk staff were nice. Easy to check in and out. Great bang for your buck if you need a place to stay in the area. Only "complaint" was some of the elevator button lights didn't light up when pressed but still work.

I enjoyed staying here at this hotel, this is in a great area for me. I feel like they’ve renovated it since I was last here. I stayed here following my trip to Europe. It’s a convenient stopping point. After staying at all the hotels in Europe, this place was a welcome change! That may sound strange, but truly, the mattress here was much more comfortable, they provide two pillows per guest, which for me is much needed! Seriously, thank you! Also, they have a top sheet in addition to the comforter and the fitted sheet for the mattress, in Europe, the too sheet is obsolete. The other thing Europe is doing away with in hotels are bathroom walls. I had large windows in the bathroom to the rest of the room. This hotel has walls and privacy, I love that. To up their game for the future the only thing I could really say is a heated towel rack is one item I do enjoy for a bit more luxury. Otherwise, the rooms were clean, quiet, and comfortable. There was a safe in the closet, along with an ironing boards, a microwave, a Keurig coffee machine, and a dorm room sized mini-refrigerator. There is a fitness space downstairs which looked nice and clean. There is also a very small, singular space for laundry but it’s dated. It requires cash/coins only and it’s just one washer and one dryer. Still it’s good in a pinch but they could be modernized or expanded on.

Customer service was great. I enjoyed my stay . The room was nice, and the bed was extra comfortable . Continantal breakfast was ok
