I think the negative comments are being quite dramatic. I went for the first time in NYC with a friend, and we wanted to budget while still being comfortable. We got a very clean room with a huge bed, a nice bathroom and a cool view. Plus we were in the middle of queens, meaning good and various restaurants (Latin American, Asian food, etc) The service was great: we were even quite annoying with the receptionists because we had to wake up early (5am) and use the common fridge, but they were all really nice and patient with us. I feel like those who had a bad experience went with way too much expectations. This a decent hotel, cheap and close enough to NY. We had a great time and we recommand it.

Book somewhere else, if you can. The room was terrible. I had to change my room and still ended up in a subpar room. Dirty sheets with hair, dirty sink, odd smell, ceiling chipped, old tissues in the room, no accessible outlets near the bed, mattress was hard. I had a nonsmoking room with burn marks on the sheets- I didn’t even use the covers. I didn’t use the shower out of fear, so I (TMI) washed in the sink (bird bath).. I did not feel safe and wanted to switch hotels but I had only stayed for 1.5 nights or I would’ve stayed at the hotel in Manhattan that I usually g to. I would never stay there or recommend this hotel to someone who values comfort and sanitation. SIDE-NOTE: There was a woman there that worked front desk that was nice- that was the only positive thing. She brought me a different cover because I did not feel comfortable using the sheets on the bed.

This is a budget hotel with limited parking facility; so just be aware of this if you decide to book a reservation. The room where we stayed was clean and everything worked. The bed was reasonably comfortable and room was quiet (facing the neighborhood, not Queens Boulevard). The bathroom was clean but the shower has an unconventional way of being engaged — you’ll probably not figure this out on your own. Ask at check-in. The towels are substandard, more like sandpaper. If you can get a deal (us$100) per night it would be a decent value as a budget traveler.

I never leave reviews - and if I could leave negative reviews for this hotel, I would. The rooms themselves look absolutely nothing like the pictures. My friend and I were placed into a King room on the 3rd floor which was filthy and very outdated - which normally wouldn't be a big deal but it was disgusting. Hair, food and water that didn't work. NEITHER of the locks on the door to enter to room functioned and we were unable to lock the door. I had to push the armoire in front of the door and rig it up to make sure the door couldn't be opened while we were sleeping. When I called the front desk to express my dissatisfaction and feeling of being unsafe, they stated "maintenance is not here to fix the issue until tomorrow but don't worry, front desk services run 24/7." I requested a new room to which they denied, and would not offer a refund on the room. They instructed me to email Michael who is the manager and conveniently is never on site. I have emailed him twice, no response. I would NOT recommend this hotel to anyone. The positive 5-star reviews are 100000% fake and misleading.
