We’ve found this place because of the excessive prices in Manhattan and Brooklyn. It’s located very close to three metro lines. Very close to Roosevelt Island. In 20 minutes by metro you’re in Manhattan. The neighbourhood is quiet and safe. Very close to the hotel a very nice pub and a grocery store open almost every time. We really felt at home because the service is very kind and there is a common space where you can always find water and fresh coffee or hot water (there is also a microwave and you have fridge in the room). We were a couple with a child, the room is basic (forniture is a little bit Old style) but very clean, even the bathroom is clean and with soap. We also ad a great terrace with a stunning view, but due to the frozen weather it was impossible to enjoy (better during summer). I really recommend this place!

Many appreciate the daily housekeeping services and the convenience of being close to multiple subway stations, making it easy to explore the city. Jan 14, 2025 · Filippo ArmellinoIf you’re on a budget & looking for an affordable place close to city, this place is worth a visit. The rooms are on the smaller size but better than most hotels in Manhattan especially for the price. There was daily housekeeping and it was close to two different train stations. The room was clean for the most part but could use some upgrades. Some of the towels were a bit rough, the walls had scuff marks, peeling wallpaper and drill holes. The carpets was stained and felt grimy? It seems like it should be replaced, I wouldn’t walk around barefoot. I had a short trip and mainly gone for the day so I managed just fine.
Oct 03, 2024 · P CardosoThis operation appears to be a complete scam. I made reservations for Labor Day weekend (end of August) in April. I called on the day of to confirm our reservation and it had mysteriously been cancelled, first supposedly due to a problem with my card (which had never been run) then because of an "emergency plumbing problem." No proactivity whatsoever in trying to work out a solution. Apparently it is not possible for the front desk to contact a manager on the weekends. This left me and my three traveling companions scrambling to find lodging for that night on Labor Day Weekend in New York City. The shifting explanation for the cancellation and lack of assistance in dealing with the situation left me feeling suspicious about the integrity of this place. Follow up has been equally unhelpful (no return contact from manager Nestor). I would stay far away from this place is I were you. If someone from the Nestor hotel reads this I would love it if you reached out to me to explain what happened.

Dec 08, 2024 · Jona MckenzieDecent hotel for a quick overnight stay if your flight got delayed or cancelled. Room and bathroom were pretty clean and the bed was fine for one night. Not necessarily anything glamorous. It was just what we needed after our flight got cancelled at 9 pm from LaGuardia. A quick drive over and you have a nice place to stay for the night.
