Park Lane Hotel New York

Just come back after a recent city break in NYC, this hotel provided the perfect base for our trip Staff were warm and welcoming, and helpful with any questions or queries. The room was very comfy, clean, and modern, with a very comfortable bed and pillows the match! The bathroom was a highlight, shower had great pressure and there was always hot water when needed (not always a given in some hotels) which was perfect after long days out! Location we found to be great, in a nice peaceful area overlooking the park with so much to do and see on the doorstep. Overall a great place to stay and base ourselves, we felt comfortable there at all times and always loved coming back after a long day! Would gladly stay again should we pay another visit to NYC.

The location of the Park Lane is perfect for everything you want to see and do in NYC. Across the street from Central Park, steps away from 5th Avenue and convenient subway access to easily get to/from other parts of the city. The hotel is decorated beautifully. The rooms were very clean and quiet. We stayed in the smallest room which was a tad too small for two people. The room was spacious enough but the bathroom was way too small for two - especially two females with need for storage. The sink console, while beautiful, was not practical for holding any beauty products or toiletries. I'm not sure if the larger rooms have bigger bathrooms, but I would look into this if more than one person is staying in the room. Only other complaint is the hot water in the shower is not hot enough. It was warm at best and this was not after multiple uses. The water temperature is set too low and the pressure would go in/out multiple times. Overall, I would definitely stay here again if the rates were competitive and the bathroom was a little larger in other rooms. Otherwise, I would look to another equally convenient hotel with more space for the same rate.

Edited 31/3/25. The manager took time to talk to me in person and expressed concerns about the state of the electrics and the paint. He kindly offered a bottle of wine to the room which was a lovely gesture. Edited 28/3/25. The manager has reached out to discuss these issues and the maintenance team are looking into fixing the issues in the room. I'm hopeful things will improve hence the increase in score. Original: I'm currently staying here and it's a terrible experience. Firstly the rooms, while they've tried to make them modern and lovely with things like Jo Malone toiletries, the ceiling paint. is falling down in our bathroom and the bathroom is tiny. You have to manoeuvre round the toilet before you can close the door. The socket is coming off the wall. The view of the "city" is the back of the buildings. We've had to change rooms because of the lifts. They're so old it sounds as if you're on the subway when they're going up and down. We'd recommend no one stays in any rooms ending 5, 6, 7, 8. The lifts only seem to run at night as well. When they're needed by lots of personnel during the day you can spend 15 minutes waiting for a lift. The gym has a lot of broken kit and the refillable water machines are rubbish. The complimentary water in the rooms actually costs $10 a bottle if used. The safe and drawers on the wardrobe are next to non accessible. Tried to complain to staff but it's very difficult to get through to anyone how noisy the rooms are. If you have the air con on I think sleeping in a wind tunnel would be quieter. Plus there is a $49+tax DAILY rate for the use of the gym, WiFi, phones, water etc called a destination charge. For the cost of this hotel we'd recommend avoiding at all costs.

Loved my stay at Park Lane during my trip from 23rd March to 29 March. The rooms were clean and there were plenty food options around. I would like to give a special shoutout to Claudette who helped keep my room clean during my stay there. Additionally, the hotel is strategically located with immediate access to central park and the subways.

I absolutely loved this hotel! The staff were all incredible. I wish I knew the name of the very kind lady who worked the breakfast buffet on Friday 1/10/25 and 1/11/25 she was so friendly! All of the doormen and bellman were so helpful with directions as well as help with taxis. The hotel is beautiful and some of the most comfortable beds and pillows. The showers had great water pressure and were nice and hot for the cold January temps. You are directly across from Central Park. Very close to high end shopping. The rooftop bar and the lobby bar are incredible with great drinks and wonderful service.
