I would not stay again nor would I recommend this property. Our stay was way below average at best! The whole property looked like it was in need of a good scrub down. The room was out of body wash, there was two different occasions that our room only had scalding hot water for two hours! The toilet paper holder was broken. We heard every little noise from the room upstairs and beside us. There was only 1 ice machine in the lobby to service 19 floors! The morning after checking in someone walked in our room no housekeeping announcement or anything! Just walked in! 1 star would not recommend!
The Park Hotel at Meadowlands is a hotel situated in East Rutherford, New Jersey, conveniently located near major attractions such as the American Dream Mall, MetLife Stadium, and a short drive from the Secaucus Train Station. This establishment offers a mix of accommodation options, dining choices, and amenities that cater to travelers seeking a base for exploring the region.
While The Park Hotel at Meadowlands is positioned in a prime location with easy access to various points of interest, its reputation has faced challenges due to maintenance issues and inconsistent service. Guests have noted outdated rooms and areas needing TLC, though some appreciate the proximity to entertainment venues.
The hotel's services include limited amenities such as free Wi-Fi, which sometimes fails despite a functional password. On-site dining is available but has received poor reviews for both quality and service. However, the property features a Starbucks café with ample seating, making it a popular spot among guests needing to stay connected or relax.
Accommodation-wise, The Park Hotel at Meadowlands offers rooms that have seen better days. Reviews highlight issues like peeling wallpaper, malfunctioning fixtures, and inconsistent maintenance. Despite a recent remodel, the lack of upkeep has left some rooms feeling neglected, which may not appeal to those seeking modern comfort.
Customer feedback reveals a generally positive location experience, offset by significant drawbacks. Guests have pointed out the absence of a shuttle service as a major inconvenience, especially for those without personal transport.
In conclusion, The Park Hotel at Meadowlands offers a strategic base for exploring regional attractions but may not meet expectations for those prioritizing hotel quality and consistent service. Potential guests should weigh their needs against these aspects when considering their stay.

Mar 17, 2025 · Sharday McgeeI stayed at The Park Hotel at Meadowlands with high expectectations. Unfortunately, due to poor maitenance, subpar customer service, and a lack of amenities they fell short. The condition of the room was not consistent with other business focused hotels. Upon first inspection you could see noticible signs of neglect. There were dusty floors and AC vent. The wallpaper was peeling and the electronic controls for the window shades did not work. The bathroom had a shower with poor water pressure, because of a malfunctioning showerhead feature and the toilet seat was only connected on one side causing it to slide every time you sat down. Overall this is an old room in need of a little TLC. It is worth noting that the room was remodled with a contemporary design within the last decade, but it has not been taken care of. The staff are friendly people, however they are not always accesible. When I called to confirm my reservation, I was asked to "please call back later". I tried calling the front desk during my stay 3 times for a late check out and no one answered. The restaurant on site, serves the worst food I have ever had. I had to find the waiter who was hiding in the back. After he took my order he hid in the back again. He never came back to check on me, I ate less than half of my meal and he did not ask why, just gave me my check. He was never rude, just lacking. This hotel was a Hilton until a few months ago. Under Hilton it had addtional amenities including free breakfast and a shuttle. While I am not a fan of continental breakfast and do not care about that. The location of this hotel is close to the American Dream mall, Metlife Stadium, and a 15 minute drive to the Secaucus train station. If you are not driving to this hotel a shuttle is a huge advantage. Since there is no longer a shuttle offered by this hotel a Lyft ride to the American Dream mall is $15-20 and a ride to the Secaucus train station is $30. If you choose to stay at this hotel either include the cost of renting a car or the cost of taking a Lyft to your stay. Other nearby hotels offer a shuttle to these nearby attractions. This hotel advertises free wifi. They provide you a password for the wifi. I and everyone else I encountered were able to succesfully enter the password for the wifi, but after being succesfully signed in got a notification that the wifi had "No Internet". Make sure you have the ability to connect with a mobile hotspot. The one bright spot of this hotel is the full service Starbucks. There is plenty of seating with outlets to charge your laptop and phone. The chargers for your phone are important, because once again you need to use a mobile hotspot. There are TVs as well if you just want to hang. Considering the poor maitenance of the property, the lack of amenities (especially a shuttle), and the inconsistent customer service I could not recomend this hotel as is. My ranking system scored this hotel 1.8 and I rounded up to 2 stars. If new ownership took over and made an investment to improve its current short comings it has the potential to be a great hotel. It truly is unfortunate.
Mar 19, 2025 · Richard LynchIf it wasn’t for Hilda and Lupe with house services I would have been miserable my entire trip, when I met Hilda I was almost in tears and it was her help that comforted me the most. These two ladies were the highlight of my stay in the hotel. They were extremely respectful, honest, diligent and quick to help me with anything I needed during and even after my stay when I came back to look through lost and found. They helped me track down something irreplaceable, and I will never forget their service. I wish every hotel had a Hilda and Lupe for their guests and this Hilton is lucky to have them. I was here for a dance competition and this hotel was extremely convenient. There is an hourly shuttle to American dream mall, Walmart, and the train station. The front desk was always polite and helpful with information. Excellent value for the price in NJ so close to the stadium and mall. And there’s a Starbucks inside.
Feb 02, 2025 · Joy And familyI’m currently staying @ The Park Hotel with children. I was nervous after reading the reviews, but my experience has been absolutely nothing like the negative reviews I’ve read to be honest. They must of really elevated their management or put time into changing their SOP’s since the reviews. I booked via a 3rd party booking site and checked in around 1030PM. The front desk was friendly, quick, and professional. My room was immediately available and they put my card on file for incidents, but I wasn’t charged any fees upfront. My room is on the 16th floor and exactly as pictured in the photos! The housekeeper Lucia had our room completely ready for us — the sheets were clean with no stains, no bugs in the room, no damaged furniture / linens/ curtains, the bathroom was clean — no mold anywhere, there wasn’t any spills or staining etc. I felt totally comfortable staying in the room. Lucia came and checked on us the next day too! She was really great and the hospitality was on point. The AC / heating worked perfectly fine, hot water was working as expected, and the water pressure was perfect. The location of the hotel is the best, it’s right in the middle of everything. The parking was close and free, which I appreciated. I felt safe traveling with children. All staff greeted me as I was walking through the lobby and when I walked into the gift shop. Overall, I’d totally stay here again! Thank you :)
Feb 22, 2025 · Joanne SchweikertVery poor experience, booked to stay here while we visited the American Dream. Priced seemed great and looked clean/decent. We arrived and checked in, get in the shower to freezing cold water (for over twenty minutes). Upon looking outside the tub, the entire bathroom was flooded. My husband went down to ask for a new room and the associates were very unapologetic. Then ordered food from downstairs that was absolutely awful, no one in my family ate any of it. Switched rooms and had no water pressure whatsoever and tub water wouldn’t fill for the kids. Associates were passive and rude. Definitely would not recommend and won’t be returning in the future.
