The William powered by Sonder

Th William was the perfect stay for both business and enjoyment. I hosted a work event in the Peacock Room that went off seamlessly and with such warmth and professionalism that it left my attendees with an appreciation that I was touched by. Then to have such easy access to The Morgan Museum, The NYC Public Library and its impressive collection (if you ever can join one of Hilda's tours there...do it!), and the fabulous restaurants...well, it made my personal days in the city so enjoyable to come back to the friendly and welcoming home away from home.

Service was outstanding! Kiki and Chloe went out of there to help us. We stayed in one of the units with a kitchenette which was super helpful. The hotel is small and has a quaint/popular bar area on lobby floor. The lobby common area was conducive to work from home. Location is walking distance to grocery store and restaurants. The only reason I didn’t give 5 stars for Rooms was due to the area rug needing to be well-cleaned and slipcover on couch in need of repair.

Keke was the best part of this experience. Phenomenal customer skills. The hotel itself was dark and moody. If that's what you're looking for. It looked cool and old fashioned downstairs, but upstairs it was more modern. So modern it was hard to figure things out. Even my 20-year-old found some of the things difficult (no explanations provided.) That would include the shower with a thousand handles. It was definitely clean enough. I am picking about that kind of stuff and nothing grossed me out :-) It was a little annoying to hear our neighbors having sex. Other than some drawbacks, I think people would generally be happy with this hotel. Not sure I will return though.

We booked this place way shorter notice than we would normally. I'm very glad we did. We weren't far from anythinng we wanted to do. It was far enough away from the hustle of Times Square to be calm but close enough to walk back into it any time. Grand Central Station was very close. Lots of great food around. The staff were very kind and almost always waiting to help. The room was spectacular. Great for a couple. My spouse even took meetings in the room without too much disturbance to me or sleep. We had a balcony that was great for stepping out and enjoying the city sounds, but not much of a view honestly. Not marking it down for that. Will visit again.

This location was PERFECT for my stay! It was in walking distance of almost everything I wanted to do, and there are great restaurants/bars and shopping in close proximity. The staff was amazing and answered all of my questions while offering suggestions. I don’t think I’ll be staying at another Sonder in NYC because this was the one for me. Thank you guys for everything & see you sooner rather than later 😁
