The Chemists’ Club Hotel

I recently stayed at this hotel for a business trip and was thoroughly impressed. From the moment I arrived, the cleanliness and customer service stood out. The rooms were surprisingly spacious for NYC and impeccably maintained. The daily cleaning service was a pleasant surprise—a rarity during my previous stays at other local hotels. The recent renovations truly elevate the experience. The rooms are beautifully designed with a modern yet cozy feel, creating a welcoming atmosphere. I also appreciated the thoughtful amenities, including complimentary bottled water, Nespresso, and minibar beverages. As a solo female traveler, I felt very safe—the hotel was quiet and secure, creating a comfortable and relaxing environment. While I didn’t have the chance to dine at the steakhouse downstairs, it looked inviting with a lively crowd, and I’m looking forward to trying it next time. My only small critique in regards to food is the lack of a room service menu—it would have been nice to order a meal directly from my room after a long day of travel. Fortunately, the Midtown location offers plenty of nearby dining options within walking distance. A couple of (very) minor complaints/recommendations: my room felt slightly humid, even with the AC and fan running at full blast. A dehumidifier option would be a welcome addition if not available already. Additionally, I found the bed and pillows to be uncomfortable. I’d recommend requesting firmer pillows next time, if available. Overall, this was a fantastic stay, and I’ll definitely be returning for future business trips. Highly recommend!

Amazing Stay at The Dylan Hotel – A Hidden Gem in NYC! I can’t say enough good things about our stay at The Dylan Hotel in New York City! From start to finish, it was an incredible experience. This small but quaint hotel is perfectly located in the heart of the city, making it a fantastic base for exploring everything NYC has to offer. The hotel itself has been newly renovated, and the updates truly enhance the stay. The rooms are surprisingly spacious, especially for New York, and are beautifully designed with a modern yet cozy feel. The cleanliness and attention to detail were exceptional, making us feel right at home. The real highlight, however, was the staff. Everyone at The Dylan greeted us with warm smiles and a genuine willingness to help. The service was top-notch, and we felt truly cared for throughout our stay. A special mention goes to Christopher, the concierge. He went above and beyond to accommodate our last-minute requests and even managed to secure some incredibly hard-to-get tickets for us, which made a little girl very happy! His kindness and dedication made a lasting impression and truly made our trip even more memorable. If you’re looking for a charming, well-located, and welcoming hotel in New York City, The Dylan Hotel is the place to stay. We’ll definitely be returning on our next visit!

A Family Favorite My wife and our two daughters, aged 3 and 5, absolutely love it here! This marks almost our tenth stay, and each visit has been nothing short of wonderful. Exceptional Management I would like to commend Matt Dempsey, the General Manager, who personally checks in on us to ensure that our experience is nothing less than outstanding. His attentiveness and commitment to guest satisfaction are truly remarkable. If there’s anything we need during our stay, he ensures his team is on it right away. Outstanding Concierge Service I also want to highlight Chris, the concierge, who provided us with amazing service. He was incredibly attentive, accommodating, and genuinely kind. His efforts made our stay exceptionally comfortable, and we are grateful for his dedication—he truly made us feel like royalty! Prime Location and Impeccable Standards The location of the hotel is perfect—just across the street from Grand Central Station—which makes exploring the city so convenient. Additionally, the rooms are not only super comfortable but also extremely clean and exude a luxury feel at a reasonable price. I feel like we completely lucked out to find this hotel for our NYC adventure to celebrate our daughter's birthday. She, an aspiring chemist, was over the moon to hear that they are rebranding the hotel to revert to its historical start as the Chemist's Club. She also delighted in all of the new decor to reflect that change. We were lucky enough to stay in one of the accessible rooms on the third floor which was well appointed, very roomy and quiet. The beds were super comfortable and it was fun to have a view that overlooked the front door. It is also nice that they provide a snack basket and drinks in the room. The shower wasn't my favorite, but I understand that it was designed to be used by people with mobility issues. The staff were wonderful. Cheerful hellos greeted you every time you entered the lobby. They also were very helpful to arrange cars or offer advice. Heck, one kind fellow even offered calculus help and advice to my daughter as she was finishing up some of her homework in the lobby. Who else does that?!?!? Then there is the bar in the restaurant. It was fun for us adults to grab a cocktail and chat with the regulars about the best places to get subs, bagels and pastrami. NYC often gets the reputation of being cold, fast-paced, loud and a little brash. This hotel was exactly the opposite. The people were warm and friendly, the atmosphere was relaxed and comfortable, and honestly, it was a perfect little haven to come back to after a day of activities. I hope this place never changes. We have found a perfect landing spot for our next NYC adventure.

Our little family had an incredible stay. We booked a deluxe king bedroom at a very reasonably price and were stunned at how spacious and beautiful our room was. Compared to the size of most NYC hotel rooms, we weren't expecting much but this definitely exceeded our expectations. The front of the hotel is still under construction, so you do hear a little bit of noise from that but the rooms are soundproof; we had no issues with sleep at night or in the morning. The team at the hotel made us feel very special upon arrival and we were well taken care of throughout our stay. They even helped us book a ride back to JFK and the process was so smooth. We had the best rest. The bed was so comfortable. The bathroom was so spacious. The room was gorgeous. Location was only a 3 minute walk to Grand Central Station, 5 minutes to NY Public Library, 10 minutes to Time Square, 5 minutes to Bryant Park. Everything was so close by, during our two night stay, we didn't need to take the subway because every thing we wanted to do was close enough to walk. If we plan to explore this area of the city again, we will definitely be back here again. Thank you to the team for making our experience so wonderful!
