My mom and I stayed here for 5 nights and had a great time. However it’s for sure 4 stars I don’t know how they got the official 5 stars it should really go down. When a hotel has a 5 star official rating and is priced accordingly you have higher expectations. The room was great with a beautiful view, beautiful roof top bar, the highlight was their outdoor spa with little private saunas and hot tub which was an incredible experience. The service people were great especially the cleaning staff, but the running of the hotel just wasn’t smooth. The elevators were out of service or the room card wasn’t reading inside them, 90% of the time !!!! That’s crazy high! When the roof bar had guests, they prioritized them to use the elevators over hotel customers. That’s pathetic! When we complained about the elevators, rather than seeking solutions, we were gaslit by the staff about it time and time again. Bad vibes. Also when we asked for room service or servicing of the room, often no one arrived and he had to call again several hours later and ask again. Something in the operations Just wasn’t working smoothly at all. Other than that, great hotel, location is awesome in trendy Williamsburg. The vibe of the hotel is a clean, large and generic hotel—it’s not a hotel with a big personality or charm, but that’s not necessarily a judgement, just a style. Would I stay again? Maybe. Would I recommend it to someone I want to impress? Absolutely not!

We were here for a Saturday and Sunday night and all day long there was the loudest thumping music from a nightclub. It was the opposite of relaxing. The music continued into the late hours of the night and early morning. We were woken up multiple times and slept HORRIBLY because of this. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone who is not a very deep sleeper. Something really should be done about this noise because it ruined our stay here. Not to mention, it cost us $600/night. It’s extremely disappointing.

I had a terrible experience working with Madeline Arnold (Event Director) at the William Vale Hotel. Initially, I was introduced to an associate who was only on their second day and understandably couldn’t answer all my questions when we visited. When I requested to speak with her manager, after a bunch of back and forth with the associate, Madeline offered time 3 days later When we finally spoke, she refused to answer my questions over the phone, dismissively telling me, "You have the contract in your email. Review that, everything is correct" The associate had misquoted details size of the space, and Madeline informed me that having a corner space on the rooftop would cost a significant amount extra, so the contract was not accurate. She showed no concern for the misinformation provided by her team -- "that's the price." At one point, she even said, "I don’t know why we’re talking right now if you can’t pull up your email." I explained I was on my phone (not computer) because this was the only time she made available. She responded "I am the director of events here, so I am very busy." This was by far the worst experience I’ve had with a venue and specifically a director of events during my wedding venue search. I’d strongly recommend speaking with someone other than Madeline if you're considering booking here. Unprofessional, dismissive, and rude.

The restaurant had a lovely atmosphere and delicious appetizers, but the service could have been better. The staff kept coming to our table frequently, making us feel rushed as if they wanted us to leave. Unfortunately, this pressure prevented us from fully enjoying the beautiful view. I hope they improve this aspect in the future.

Not what I expected. The all-white interior trend feels outdated and shows wear. The elevators were constantly out of service (and creaky!), adding up to 10 minutes to a trip out. The wiring was odd—a switch next to the bed turns on the bathroom light, for example, and they have little plug in cubes because there aren't enough outlets. There is some daytime construction noise across the street that the hotel seems determined not to acknowledge. The views are incredible, though, and we had a great time at both the rooftop bar and Leuca. The gym was also nice (and empty).
