TownePlace Suites New York Manhattan/Times Square

This property has managed to ruin a rather fun trip to NYC and it had nothing to do with the conditions and accommodation they provide guests. While the location and facilities are great, they will charge you for incidentals (when you made absolutely no charges) only to never return them upon checkout. The worst part is that I’ve contacted the property and Marriott International support numerous times, provided my reservation details and all the information I was asked for, and I still never got my $1200 back! My stay was in January 2025, and two months later, the issue hasn’t been resolved. Staff has lied to my face, said that the money had been returned but never presented proof of it. The property’s team has been utterly incompetent at solving this issue, which stains Marriott’s credibility as a serious international chain. By now, I can only qualify this as fraud. Stay away if you don’t want a pricey add on to your trip!

This is a solid option in the Times Square area especially if you are fortunate enough to get a great rate as I did. I was blown away by the value this hotel offers considering the sleek comfort and size of the rooms, the quality of the beds and linens, the utility of the kitchenette area, and the convenience to transit, dining, and theater. I often have to make recommendations for friends visiting the neighborhood and wanted to check this hotel out for a night before doing so. My experience was very positive and I have paid much more for much less in this neighborhood. I believe some of the bad reviews are from people that just don't know how run down, horrible, and overpriced fleabag hotels can be in NYC, especially in the Times Square area. This was an extremely pleasant exception and felt very safe, secure, comfortable, and new. The room was immaculate, all lighting and temperature controls worked, towels and soap and hot water were plentiful, king bed and linens were comfortable and clean. Wonderful modern bathroom. Smart TV worked great. Did not use the Wi-Fi so can't comment. Seating fabrics were clean, fresh, and cushions were comfortable. Hot water was instantaneous in the shower and at the sinks. Fridge kept drinks cold. Fast, courteous, personable, and effortless check-in made a great first impression.. Did not try the free breakfast so no opinion. Did not use the elevator as my room was up a short flight of stairs off the lobby. Literally nothing to complain about here and would stay again in a heartbeat.

I’m happy with my stay here. It’s in a great location, a close walk from Grand Central Station and Times Square. The room was big enough for my wife and I, spending 3 days of our honeymoon here. The kitchen area had a mini fridge enough for a couple drinks/take-out containers, a microwave, and a sink. The bedroom was a comfortable size and nice bathroom. And had a big window with a view of the street. The staff was also friendly with storing our bags after we checked out so we could still explore the city and offering bottled water during breakfast and warm cookies. We will return to this accommodating hotel.

My teenage daughter and I stayed here for a 4 day trip in NY City. I can't say enough great things about staying here! The staff were all so friendly and accommodating, the breakfast was great everyday, coffee and water in the lobby at all times, the proximity to everything was amazing! Overall an excellent stay!

Great little hotel, free breakfast which you can take back to room or grab and go which is a bonus! The rooms are very clean and well maintained, and include everything you need for a city break including cooking facilities, however they are just slightly on the small size which I understand is pretty normal for NYC (though completely adequate for a couple only there to sleep) Staff were all lovely, rooms serviced perfectly every day. Location is excellent, close to tourist activities in midtown including times square and there is a subway station just at the end of the street. Would definitely stay again
