Went on a vacation that was gifted by a friend at Westgate in Orlando. At check in we were asked if we would like to attend a meeting and do the whole promotional deal which would get us 2 tickets to universal studios and a 3 night 4 day stay in Vegas. I believe airfare included. We attend the meeting at 8am two days after check in as scheduled. We were given a packet and a sales rep was pitching us on their promo. But at one point she was being weird and directing the conversation to my girlfriend even tho the trip and card in file and name on the packet documents were all in my name…turns out on the last page in fine print-the promotion is only valid for women. I wish I had taken a picture of it but I showed the sales rep and she took the packet and got a manager and all that to discuss with me and I wasn’t going to cause a scene but they refused to give me a copy of the sheet. Fast forward when I spoke with corporate they denied that was the case. Westgate is nothing special to begin with. Money would be better spent at Orange lake or even Exploria. Westgate rather pay their lawyers to send me certified mail than have a conversation with me and correct any shortcomings. I wasn’t asking for a check I just wanted someone to be held responsible. If it said only men the whole world would have reported on it.
Looking for a resort in the Midtown East area of New York City? Westgate resort, located at 630 2nd Ave, is part of the 'Hotels Near Of Me' category. However, recent guest reviews raise serious concerns regarding promotional practices and alleged discrimination, which local users should be aware of.
One guest who received a gifted vacation at a Westgate property in Orlando described a problematic experience related to a promotional offer. Upon check-in, they were invited to attend a meeting for a deal that included tickets to Universal Studios and a stay in Las Vegas with included airfare. However, during the sales pitch, the conversation was directed oddly towards the guest's girlfriend, despite all booking documents being in the guest's name. It was later discovered, in fine print, that the promotion was only valid for women. The guest reported that they were refused a copy of this condition and that when they contacted corporate, the existence of such a policy was denied. This reviewer expressed overall dissatisfaction with Westgate and suggested that money would be better spent at alternative resorts.
Another review detailed an experience concerning a potential offer where the guest contacted Westgate to verify the terms after being alerted by a website chat assistant. To their surprise, they allegedly confirmed that the company has a policy that includes "AGE DISCRIMINATION." After entering credit card information for a booking, qualifications appeared stating that the individual must be between the ages of 28 and 68. Despite meeting all other criteria, the 73-year-old guest was deemed ineligible. Upon contacting the company, they verbally confirmed this age restriction. The reviewer strongly condemned this as "AGE DISCRIMINATION," questioning why older individuals should be excluded from owning a timeshare or qualifying for discounted offers.
The provided reviews focus heavily on negative experiences related to promotional offers and alleged discriminatory practices rather than the typical environment, services, and features of the resort itself. Therefore, objective information regarding room types, on-site amenities (such as pools, dining options, fitness centers), or specific services offered at the Westgate resort in New York (if the issues encountered in Orlando and online policy reflect practices in New York) is not available within this context.
Similarly, no positive promotional information or details about the resort's typical offerings are present in these reviews. Local users considering Westgate resort in New York should be aware of these reported issues concerning promotional transparency and alleged discrimination and may want to seek further information from other sources or directly from the resort regarding their policies and offerings.
In conclusion, the limited information available from these reviews for Westgate resort in New York highlights significant concerns about promotional practices and alleged discriminatory policies encountered at other Westgate locations and online. Local users should exercise caution and conduct thorough research beyond this information before considering a stay.

Mar 08, 2025 · Brandon CeliniAs suggested by the chat assistant on their website, I called the number she gave me to verify the terms of this offer because I could not believe what I was reading...and much to my surprise, when confirmed that this company has a policy that includes "AGE DISCRIMINATION". I got to the end and entered my credit card information and as I was about to accept, a listing of qualifications came up that included that I must be "ages 28 - 68". I totally fulfill all other qualifications but the fact that I am 73, I could not qualify. I contacted the company and they verbally confirmed that this is correct. that is truly "AGE DISCRIMINATION". What says that a 73 year old person (for that matter, 69 year old person) cannot own a timeshare or qualify for a discounted offer for such??? Shame on you Westgate Resorts!!!
