I would never stay here again, and I do not recommend this place to anyone. The apartment was filthy when I arrived. The floors were not mopped, the counters had rings and stains from previous guests, and the bedding was absolutely disgusting, covered in visible stains. It was clear the sheets had either not been changed or were barely washed. I called customer service and asked for two clean sets of bedding. They only sent one, and even that was still dirty. I also asked if someone whose job it is to clean could come and change the sheets properly. They said no one could come until tomorrow. So not only were the sheets dirty, but I was forced to touch and change someone else’s dirty bedding, something that should never fall on a guest. To make it worse, they kept asking me to send multiple photos as if I should keep doing more work to prove how unacceptable the space was. I’m the guest, it’s not my job to manage cleanliness or follow up on poor service. This place clearly does not take cleanliness, comfort, or guest experience seriously. Do yourself a favor and spend your money somewhere that actually does the bare minimum to make sure your space is clean and livable. The only pro about this place is the location. Barely a 2 minute walk to Bourbon Street.

However, it is crucial for locals and visitors alike to set appropriate expectations based on available guest experiences. While the location is a significant draw, the feedback from previous guests highlights areas that prospective patrons should be fully aware of before booking. Reports concerning cleanliness, pest control, maintenance issues, and the responsiveness of customer service suggest that the practical aspects of a stay may not always meet typical hospitality standards.
For locals planning a staycation or for those who intend to spend the vast majority of their time outside exploring the city, returning to the accommodation primarily for sleep, the direct access to entertainment might outweigh other concerns. The contactless check-in and the ability to restock supplies independently could also appeal to those who prefer a self-sufficient travel experience.

Jun 02, 2025 · Kashaun LynnWe stayed here a week and there were a lot more cons than pros. Pros: you can restock your own supplies as needed, location is very convenient to Bourbon st & the contactless check in and out was pretty seamless. Cons: the apt is extremely dirty: floors are swept at best so I suggest bringing slippers or buying some, stains on the lower cabinet doors and lower half of the kitchen appliances, a few of the nights a homeless person was able to get into the building and slept under the stairs in the stairwell so be careful and make sure the motion sensor lights are off and then come on for you before descending down the steps (homeless tend to sleep by the entrance door too so be wary opening the front door), there are stains on the upholstered chairs so we put a sheet on any chairs we sat on (we just kept to the wooden stools), the bed slats kept falling out while we were sleeping (turns out it was missing a slat and the plastic pieces meant to keep them in place were broken), the building is between 2 restaurants and one of the restaurants set off the fire alarm so be wary of this and lastly the cockroaches (do not leave food out, expect to kill and clean the cockroaches up yourself as their cleaning staff will show up only when it’s an emergency. We told management about them when we got up the next morning. They said they would send the cleaning crew and no one showed up. We killed them, swept them up and flushed them in the toilet. We had to wipe up any roach remainders by hand because there was also no mop or vacuum available. I let mgmt know that I cleaned up as I didn’t want cockroaches there and they wanted to send the cleaning crew the NEXT day to clean up). Overall, this was not worth the money. There are other hotels that are just as close to Bourbon St. without these hassles and better amenities and sanitation. I do NOT recommend this hotel at all.
Feb 03, 2025 · Angie and ScottI have to say, I was extremely worried by previous reviews with regards to cleanliness. So much so that I called them in advance to absolutely make sure they did not place me in a room with hygiene issues. They seemed to have made an effort as the room (unit 3B) was great for our needs, no signs of any bugs whatsoever. The kitchen and living room are roomy and well furnished. Living room TV had plenty of apps and programming to supplement a recovery session after being out in the Quarter. Bedroom was also pretty roomy but we could've used more stands to place things/luggage. Bed wasn't necessarily plush but as someone who needs good posture while sleeping, I had no complaints. Additional smart TV in the bedroom was a plus. Central AC is good and helps cool down the bedroom after opening the door for a few minutes. Some things that were less nice were the bedroom ceiling fan (rattled for a couple days), the bathroom fan (made the room really hot), and the laundry room (wasn't a fan of their wash detergent and the dryer had some metal stains). Also, I'm not sure all the linens available in the lobby area are fully cleaned so check them before taking them up (found a footprint on one of the comforters). The linens in the room were fine though. One thing that I disliked is the lack of any sort of front desk staff. You punch into the building using a code but I usually entered the code 2-3 times before the door would open--seemed like a manual buzz system manned by a Roami employee. The Factor's Row location has a much more traditional lobby experience, albeit with a virtual attendant. Also, the property manager didn't respond to a question we texted him the day before checkout. Last thing to note: location. This is a great spot to catch the St. Charles streetcar within a 1 minute notice from door to trolley. CVS stocks drinks/snacks and is 2 minutes away on the corner. It's also 3-5 minute walk to the fun part of Bourbon Street. The location can only be beat by maybe the actual hotels embedded in Bourbon, but this place's price point makes much more sense for budget traveling. Do try to think about if you want a French Quarter courtyard experience for your stay, because this apartment is just for sleeping and taking breaks in the middle of the day. Perhaps other units on the property were better (maybe a balcony, or one with openable windows), but I'm glad to say that this one definitely was not bad and actually exceeded expectations. Would maybe stay again!
Feb 23, 2025 · John BelardoThis may be the best VRBO we’ve stayed at yet. Close to French Quarter and trolley. Unit was well stocked and if anything is needed (towels, soap, etc.) there is a rack of everything near the elevator. A great restaurant 20 feet from the front door we’ve eaten at 3 times in 3 days for a meal or just appetizers and a drink. I can’t wait to try other Roami properties.
Jan 18, 2025 · Steve HordThe apartment is beautiful! Nice and easy check-in with great instructions. I read reviews beforehand about the noise from the street car and how the balcony is hard to access, but I just wanted to say that it really isn’t that bad. If you have sensitive ears, then the noise from the crowds and the streetcar running late/early in the morning will probably keep you up at night. If you get the two bedroom apartment, then you won’t really hear any noise from the back room away from the street. As far as accessing the balcony, there was a review about how it was hard to lift the window, but it really wasn’t that hard at all and I’m not a super big or muscular woman. Also didn’t have to prop the window open with anything because the window stayed open, but I did place something down just in case. If your eyes are sensitive to light then you might want to bring a face mask to sleep with due to there being blinds and not curtains in the bedroom. In conclusion, the apartment is very spacious and beautiful, it’s very close to restaurants and everything that you’ll need, close to bourbon street and the canal, and it’s close to a street car station so it was a great stay for me. Download the Le Pass app for routes using the street car or the bus. Would definitely stay again!
