Citadines Connect Fifth Avenue New York

This was perfect for us! We were able to get 2 beds for not much more than 1 bed, which is not easy in NYC. Our room was spotlessly clean, and comfortable. The locations is steps away from theaters and Times Square. Breakfast is included, which also is a perk and not that common in NYC - it was a large croissant, apple, and juice delivered to your room. Coffee in room and in lobby. Not a huge stuff-yourself buffet, but enough to get out the door in the morning and get sight-seeing and not have to worry about a real meal until lunch. Staff were very friendly. This was a gem!

Stayed here for the first time and definitely won't be my last. Room was very clean and updated. Staff was great and I loved the set up. We would drink coffee here and hang out in the morning before exploring new york. The location was also a big plus and felt very safe.

Was a good spot to stay. Clean rooms enough space for my stuff. Breakfast is in a to go bag consisting of OJ, croissant and piece of fruit every day. Gets very boring and repetitive. Great location close times square

I had high expectations given the price, but this hotel was a huge letdown. The amenities offered were minimal and not worth the cost. The rooms were outdated, and the so-called “luxury” features felt cheap and poorly maintained. The breakfast was subpar, with limited options and low-quality food. What really ruined the experience was the staff. They were unfriendly and unhelpful, making it clear that guest satisfaction was not a priority. Any simple request felt like an inconvenience to them. Overall, this hotel charges premium rates but delivers a substandard experience. I would not recommend staying here. There are far better options available for a better price.

3/3/25 at night time: Cons: we had been at the hotel for 2 nights. On the third night at 11:30 pm, there was a smokey smell coming from the heater/AC. We called the front office and they sent a maintenance person instead of the “engineer” because he had already left. The maintenance person was useless and unhelpful because he didn’t know how to help. He offered to “spray the room” to help with the smell. We said, “no, the heater is defective and we want to be able to smell if it gets worse and it’s a hazard. We want to change rooms”. He said he would tell the front office. We waited for 20 minutes and nobody called, so we went down to talk to the front office. The woman who was at the front office was so rude. She gave us a new room, but it was smaller than our original room and she did not smile AT ALL, she was so curt and obviously did not care about us. She gave us terrible customer service, as if WE were inconveniencing her. WE were the ones breathing the smoky smell for one hour. We asked for a late checkout because it was so late at night time and we had to change rooms so late. She said the latest she could give us was 12:00 pm. (I knew late checkout was until 1:00 pm because I had asked a different employee that question the morning of). And of course, I got bothered two times at my door about whether I was going to leave from the cleaning people before 12:00 pm. That woman had failed to tell the cleaning people that I was still in the room and I was working. Other cons: the walls are sooooo thin, if you want to sleep in, get a different hotel. You will hear the people on the hallway for sure. Pros: for the first two nights, we had a clean room and great location next to Times Square.
