The last time, me and my mother and my 2 1/2 year-old daughter stayed here. The rooms smelled like cigarette smoke and smelt like they have not been cleaned when I first walked in and there was nobody sitting at the front desk. I had to wait for somebody, then the lady had given us our room we went tithe room the minute i opened the door it smelt like a locker room after a game it smelt so bad i immediately went back to the front desk and asked the woman to come smell the room after she had inspected the room she did agree with me that the room smelled and her reasoning was that she wasn’t the person to clean that room. They did move us and give us another room and the same thing happened with the following room. It smelled like cigarette smoke and a sweaty locker. i was very disappointed with the hotel and the amenities that they offer

For local users searching within the "Hotels Near Of Me" category, the Comfort Inn in Saugerties, NY, presents itself as a conveniently located option for both business and leisure travelers exploring the Hudson Valley and Catskill region. Situated at 2790 NY-32, Saugerties, NY 12477, USA, this hotel aims to provide a comfortable stay, with recent customer feedback indicating that it is currently undergoing renovations to enhance the guest experience.

The environment of Comfort Inn Saugerties is primarily defined by its strategic location. Being situated directly on NY-32 and "by throughways," it offers easy access for travelers arriving by car, making it a practical stopover or a base for exploring the wider region. Saugerties itself is a charming town at the confluence of the Hudson River and Esopus Creek, offering a blend of natural beauty, historic sites, and a vibrant arts scene. Guests staying at Comfort Inn can readily access attractions such as the Saugerties Lighthouse, Opus 40, and the bustling village center with its shops, restaurants, and galleries. The proximity to major roadways, while convenient for travel, also means that the location can be "a little noisy," as noted by a reviewer. However, for those prioritizing accessibility to the Hudson Valley and Catskills, this trade-off might be acceptable. The surrounding area offers a mix of commercial establishments catering to travelers' needs, alongside the natural landscapes typical of upstate New York. The ongoing renovations suggest an investment in improving the internal environment of the hotel, aiming for a more pleasant and modern aesthetic for guests.

In terms of services, Comfort Inn Saugerties, like other hotels in the Comfort Inn brand, strives to provide standard amenities and guest support. A key service highlighted in reviews is the responsiveness of the staff and management. Despite a highly negative experience with room cleanliness and odor, one reviewer noted, "the managers are very cooperative to your needs," and the staff did attempt to remedy the situation by offering alternative rooms. This indicates a commitment, at least from management, to address guest concerns and work towards satisfaction. The hotel typically offers a complimentary breakfast, though one review remarked, "Breakfast not great," suggesting there might be room for improvement in this area. Standard hotel services such as a front desk, check-in/check-out procedures, and basic room amenities are to be expected. The fact that they are "renovating the rooms" implies an ongoing effort to improve the quality of their services, aiming to provide fresher, more modern accommodations. It's common for Comfort Inn properties to offer free Wi-Fi, parking, and often pet-friendly policies, catering to a broader range of traveler needs, though specific pet policies would need to be confirmed directly with the hotel.

The features of Comfort Inn Saugerties are currently in a state of transition due to the ongoing renovations. The positive aspect of these renovations is that the "rooms . Looks great," suggesting a modern update to the aesthetics and possibly functionality of the guest rooms. The inclusion of "usb-C type outlets" indicates an effort to incorporate modern conveniences, though the caveat that "they don't work so make sure u carry your phone charger with u" points to potential teething issues during the renovation phase. Typical Comfort Inn features include comfortable beds, flat-screen TVs, and private bathrooms. While the older rooms may have had issues with smell and cleanliness, the renovations are likely targeting these aspects, aiming to deliver a much-improved experience. Beyond the rooms, Comfort Inn properties often feature a fitness center, business center, and perhaps an indoor pool, though specific facilities for this particular location would need to be verified. The primary feature of convenience stemming from its "Location by throughways" is a constant, making it easy for guests to navigate to and from the hotel. The provision of breakfast, even if the quality is debated, is still a feature that adds value for guests looking for a quick start to their day.

Regarding promotional information, the ongoing renovations at Comfort Inn Saugerties themselves serve as a form of promotion, signaling to potential guests that the property is investing in upgrades and aiming to offer a better experience. Hotels undergoing such improvements often highlight their "newly renovated rooms" to attract bookings. While specific discounts or packages are not provided in the given reviews, Comfort Inn, as part of the Choice Hotels brand, frequently runs promotions such as discounts for Choice Privileges members, seasonal offers, or packages for extended stays. Given the current renovation phase, there might be specific "soft opening" rates or incentives for guests to experience the updated rooms. For the most accurate and up-to-date promotional information, interested local users are highly recommended to contact the Comfort Inn Saugerties directly via their phone numbers: (845) 246-1565 or +1 845-246-1565. Direct inquiry can also confirm the progress of renovations, ensure a newly renovated room, and address any specific concerns related to noise or amenities. Online travel agencies and the official Comfort Inn website would also be sources for current rates and any publicly advertised deals, often featuring "book direct" benefits.

In conclusion, Comfort Inn Saugerties, as a listing within the "Hotels Near Of Me" category, offers a conveniently located option for travelers in the Hudson Valley. While recent reviews highlight significant challenges with initial room quality and cleanliness, they also indicate that the hotel is actively addressing these issues through ongoing renovations, with management demonstrating a cooperative approach. The environment offers easy access to major roadways and local Saugerties attractions. The services include a front desk, breakfast (though with mixed reviews), and a commitment to guest satisfaction. Features are being upgraded to include modern amenities in renovated rooms. For those seeking a practical base in the region and willing to consider a property in transition, direct communication with the hotel to ascertain the status of renovations and confirm room quality would be advisable. The Comfort Inn Saugerties is aiming to provide a refreshed experience, and for guests seeking value and accessibility, it remains a relevant option in the Saugerties area.

Do not stay here! The property is ok, location is eh. We paid $352 for our two queen room, 104. Room itself wasn't bad. Then at 12:30am children of all ages started jumping off the beds upstairs, running through the halls, yelling and screaming. I made a complaint but the staff member seemed incompetent. The entire hotel smells like a strong chemical smell. Apparent clean floors, you stick to when walking. I was looking online and this place doubles as a homeless shelter!!!!! The pool is not opened. "Temporarily closed". When we got to the hotel the male staff memeber at the desk was poorly dressed and snapped "you need to wait because those people over there were here first". The people he pointed at were across the room. No idea they were already in line. I'm disappointed because we traveled far and are tired. My own kids can not even sleep the noise is bad. Would never recommend this place to anyone! Will be seeking a full refund.

Do not stay here will steal money from you. They will say something was broken when everything is broke in this place. They said TV was broken and charged me 500.00 for a out dated TV. The smell is terrible as well. If you stay there have them come check room before leaving and make sure the account is closed out. Or just spend a little more money and stay someplace better.

Worst Stay EVER! Charged triple the amount once we got home! We were in town for a funeral. We checked in on Nov. 2 and out early on Nov. 3. Breakfast was fine but the pool was closed, the back door to the stairs was broken with a rock holding it open, and the hallway smelled awful. The problem didn't start until we were home. Good thing we checked our bank statement. They charged us triple the amount for our stay and never notified us as to why. We immediately called the front desk directly and they said house keeping said the TV was broken. No such thing happened while we were there. We are still waiting for management to return our call. We have called management for 3 days! They will not return our call. The next phone call will be from our lawyer.
