A Wellness Bachelorette Weekend to Remember at Diamond Mills- We recently hosted a bachelorette getaway at Diamond Mills, and I truly can't say enough good things about our experience. From the moment I had the initial call with Chris, I knew we were in great hands. He was extremely responsive, accommodating, and thoughtful throughout the planning process and during our stay. The hotel itself is beautiful, situated just a short 7-minute walk from town, where we loved exploring local gems like Ohana Café and Olsen & Company. The rooms were cozy, spacious, and had the most peaceful view of the Esopus Creek dam. The sound of the rushing water and nature views were incredibly soothing, and the sweet touch of luxe chocolates in the room made us feel instantly welcomed. The front desk staff were warm and friendly, always greeting us with a smile and happy to help. Dining at Blackbarn, the on-site restaurant, was another highlight- delicious food and truly kind, attentive service. Our spa day at Waterside Spa was the icing on the cake. Just a 10-minute walk from the hotel, the facilities were gorgeous- calm, clean, and thoughtfully designed with relaxing lounges, a hot tub and plunge pool, and a stunning outdoor deck. Maureen welcomed us warmly and made sure our group was set up for a day of total relaxation. I personally had a mud wrap with Sue followed by a deep tissue massage with Bri- both incredibly skilled and clearly passionate about their work. I left feeling completely rejuvenated, especially after a session in the sauna! Chris went above and beyond by arranging mimosas for us between treatments so we could properly toast the bride-to-be. We wrapped up the day on the spa deck with refreshing smoothies from the Waterside Café, taking in the views and feeling truly pampered. A huge thank-you to the entire spa team for making sure the bride felt extra special- it meant the world to us. Chris also gave us excellent recommendations for hikes/nature walks and local businesses, which made our wellness bachelorette weekend feel so full and memorable. A special shoutout to Brooke from Little Blueberryy for a fantastic private yoga session! We relaxed, we laughed, we celebrated- and it was all thanks to the thoughtful, seamless experience provided by the team at Diamond Mills. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a relaxing group getaway!

We had 45 days to plan my Valentine’s Day wedding, and while the venue assured us they could make it happen, they absolutely failed. From the start, we were quoted a set price per person, but when it was time to pay, I was suddenly informed of a separate ceremony fee—something that was never mentioned before. We paid in full upfront and had to deal with all of this ridiculousness. We specifically booked this venue for its location—the surrounding area and the backdrop of the bridge and river dam waterfall make for beautiful photos. Unfortunately, the scenery was the only thing that lived up to expectations. We came prepared with a clear vision, even bringing a binder full of photos showing exactly what we wanted—hanging roses from the chandeliers. The wedding planner raved about the idea and assured me that if I provided the materials, they would execute it. We spent days sewing 48 fishing lines of roses. When we arrived for the rehearsal, we found them balled up and tossed onto the chandeliers. They then claimed they can’t do it, despite agreeing to it earlier. Table arrangements were another nightmare. We requested rectangle tables like those shown on their website. We were told they couldn’t accommodate them, so we purchased centerpieces specifically for round tables. Later, we walked into a room with both rectangle and round tables. They tried to convince us that the rectangle tables weren’t “as nice”. We were then told we could have rectangle tables after all. This meant we had to scramble to return the centerpieces we had already bought. They promised to send pictures and videos of centerpiece options—that never happened. The venue also assured us the setup would be completed a week in advance since no other events were scheduled. That never happened. The rehearsal the day before was a complete joke—nothing was prepared. On the morning of our 3 PM wedding, nothing was set up. My bridesmaids had to set up the photo Polaroid guest book themselves because the staff didn’t bother. No one even helped direct guests to where the ceremony was being held. Not to mention, they scheduled the wedding for 3 PM, yet hotel check-in was also at 3 PM, meaning our out-of-town guests were expected to check in at the exact time the ceremony started. When we brought this to their attention, we were told they would try to fix it but couldn’t make any promises, instructing us to call them on the day of. Then, we were told the groom’s suite wouldn’t be available until 1 PM—when photos were scheduled at 1 PM. Later, they claimed it would be ready by 10:30 AM, and on the wedding day, they changed it again to 12 PM. To top it all off, the room—which was supposed to be included in our package—was billed to us separately and I had to contact them to clear that up. The food situation was just as bad. We were supposed to have hors d’oeuvres during cocktail hour, a buffet dinner, with hors d’oeuvres later in the evening for guests who had been drinking and dancing. My husband was supposed to get a personal pumpkin pie after the cake cutting since he doesn’t like cake. None of that happened. Instead, my husband and I were handed cold hors d’oeuvres while waiting for our reception introduction. Our guests were rushed through the buffet and plates were being cleared from tables before they even finished. After an exhausting day, we left starving and weren’t even provided food for our hotel room. This is the most unprofessional and disorganized establishment we have ever dealt with. We are beyond disappointed by all the lies and broken promises. They overpromised, underdelivered, and created unnecessary stress on what should have been a joyful day. Save yourself the headache and book somewhere else!

The staff was one of the kindest staff I have dealt with at a hotel. Very nice room. The view of the falls from the rooms was great also. The only recommendation would be to update the outlets in the rooms. Had a great time

We were fortunate to be able to enjoy a lovely fall stay at Diamond Mills Hotel. Each season at the Hotel has its own beauty and the view from our room of the waterfall and foliage was truly spectacular . As always , Hotel Manager Sylvia Bleboo and her entire staff are what make Diamond Mills such a special place . We are already looking forward to our next visit ! Patty & Peter Scharfenberger

Attended a December wedding at Diamond Mills RS. The ceremony in one room & reception in the other. The venue was decorated nice & wedding reception - done by bride & groom - was nice. The small town and surrounding areas are beautiful. Stayed at a hotel about a mile down the road that faced the fields of Woodstock. If you’re into antiques, take a ride up.
