I recently stayed at the Courtyard Providence Downtown for a conference across the street at the Graduate Hilton, mainly to earn Marriott Points. The location is super convenient, and the bed was comfy and clean, which I appreciated. However, there were a few issues that could use attention. When I arrived, the TV wasn't plugged in, so I had to do that myself. The fridge ended up freezing my Coke, and I found a hair in the tub—definitely not ideal. When checking in, I was asked if I wanted housekeeping, which I said yes to. But then I was asked to pick just one day for it during my 3-night stay, which seemed odd. Why not offer it for all days? Finally, my bill ended up being $11.23 more than expected upon checkout, supposedly from the restaurant—which I never even visited. My work returned the receipt for reimbursement, which is how I noticed. They credited the amount quickly once I pointed it out, but it does make me wonder how many of these small overcharges go undetected. Candidly, I've stayed at Comfort Inns and Best Westerns at half the price with better attention to these things and consequently had a better guest experience at those places than this Courtyard "Marriott." Overall, it’s an okay stay with some room for improvement. The location and points were the main positives for me, but better attention to detail and guest service would make a big difference to help keep up with almost every other Marriott hotel.

Apr 03, 2025 · Levi DillonThe staff of the hotel were great. There was a laundry washing option that was really handy. The lady from the lobby bar was the best, so good humor and so hospitable ❤️ Thank You, Providence Rhode Island, we really love you!
May 20, 2025 · Ronald LaarmaaCareful of this place. Reserved a king room with a sleep sofa. The bed was only a double put up to a king headboard. It was only 4’ 6” wide. The sleep sofa was a pull out love seat so really only good for one. When I complained, they told me it was a king. Not. I have a king at home I know a king. Not even a queen. We measured. My feet were hanging off the bed. Oh and it’s right on the main street. All we heard all night was cars racing
May 04, 2025 · Brian MedeirosI am a regular Marriott customer (Titanium status) so when I booked a work gig in Providence I booked this property due to its location. The location was great but that was about it. When I checked in the front desk girl couldn’t have cared less about dealing with me. She gave me a very rushed check in process and just dismissed me so that she can go back to her phone. The room itself was very dated, the shower dripped continuously and the WiFi was not working properly. There was even mold in the shower which I pointed out but it was never taken care of. As a matter, nothing was taken care of. They made it a point to tell me that I had to REQUEST my room be made up yet when I did, I didn’t get any service and came back from a long day of work to an unkept room and no coffee refills. This property is certainly not up to Marriott brand standards so I will be avoiding it on my next trip to Providence.
Mar 30, 2025 · Marco GuaniloThis hotel is very standard. It is clean, offers nice views in each direction, and is in a great location. It does need to be updated but it is certainly not in any condition to impact the quality of your stay. This hotel once had an indoor pool but it has since been removed.
