May 15, 2025 · Kenny HHere’s a polished version of your review that keeps your tone and message clear and respectful: ⸻ I’ve been staying at the Providence Marriott Downtown about once a month, and overall, I really enjoy this hotel. Tellathea always greets me with a warm smile—she’s friendly, efficient, and makes the check-in process quick and pleasant every time. Her welcoming energy is a great start to my stay. The hotel itself is spacious and well-maintained. I love the bar area, the convenient location, and the ample parking. The amenities are also a big plus: both indoor and outdoor pools, a fully equipped gym, and other thoughtful touches that make for a comfortable stay. That said, the one ongoing issue that makes me reconsider returning is housekeeping. The rooms never seem to be fully cleaned, which is frustrating. More importantly, housekeeping knocks on the door up to three hours before check-out time—often before 9:30 AM. I’m here to rest, and being woken up that early every time defeats the purpose of staying at a hotel. I rely on my own alarm, not an early wake-up knock. If the housekeeping issue—especially the early morning interruptions—were addressed, this would absolutely be a five-star experience.
Apr 21, 2025 · Carlosluis PerezMy partner and I did a weekend of eating and exploring Providence March 22-24 (Sat-Mon) and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We had some plumbing issues in the first room, but the friendly and professional guest services crew quickly resolved that for us in the best way possible. The hotel offers a convenient shuttle service to popular restaurants and shopping within a reasonable radius. (I did think parking was a little expensive for what it was). The highlight of our stay was definitely the hotel bar and restaurant Bluefin Grille. Our bartender Patrice was so professional, attentive and fun! She provided a wealth of information and ideas for fun and delicious places to visit. We’ll definitely be back to see her!
Apr 12, 2025 · Cory NomuraThe staff is great. The restaurant is great. And I appreciate the free hotel shuttle is a wonderful perk. Now the room is a different story. There’s a new tower and an old tower. The pictures online misrepresent the room I stayed in. The representative stated the tower I was in is the old tower. And now I know why. The room gave 1970s vibe, which really isn’t a big deal. But the bed was extremely uncomfortable. Both my husband and I felt like we spent the night sleeping on the floor. And the bathroom faucet was broken. Thank goodness my stay was brief. Had it been longer than one night, I’d stayed somewhere else.
May 04, 2025 · Shadeah CapersNice looking place, good location, excellent service and staff. Stay here was only marred by problems with rooms. First room had problems with the thermostat, the max temp was 71F and the blanket was not quite sufficient to keep us warm in the evening; the shower sliding glass doors were not adjusted correctly so nothing sides kept opening while showering; the deadbolt hardware was not able to be locked. The next morning, we were allowed to love to a poolside room. It was better, but it smelled a bit of chemicals, had a few ants in the bathroom, the room had an ambient temp of 78F, the thermostat was inoperative (despite lowering the temperature, the room stayed at 78F), and the toilet paper holder was broken. The staff were very accommodating and apologetic and provided a beautiful fruit basket as well as a discount for our problems. Not sure if we would ever stay again.
