Fabulous hotel! Stayed here for a night when in town for a friend's birthday. The staff here is incredible. Friendly, fast and accommodating. The rooms are larger than your typical NYC hotel, which is a great plus. The rooftop bar and its views are amazing. This property is a little pricey, but for a great experience in NYC, it's definitely worth it!

The hotel is cool, but it is definitely in need of some upgrades. Including lights in the room. However, the staff is incredible! They made my stay special and catered to. Tori who checked us in, helped with the delivery of a dress, was personable, sweet and kept checking in throughout our stay. Seth, who I think does every job in the hotel, made sure we had everything we needed.

Stayed 2/12 -2/19 (7 nights) in room 312, a “double bronze” room. I recommend this place for solo travelers, or couples who are glued to each other’s sides - more on that later. The hotel is in such a great location, right by Chelsea Market, very close to the ACE subway, and surrounded by great food options. Everyone I interacted with at the hotel was friendly and helpful - front desk (shout out to Sam), housekeeping, maintenance, bar staff - everyone was great. (And shout out to the really nice guy who helped with bags, and was always smiling and welcoming me back.) I can’t say enough nice things about everyone working there - seriously a fantastic staff. The lobby is funky but welcoming, and they have a great happy hour every day from 5-7. (Seriously, it’s a really good deal.) Our room was small but the beds were good. Noise was minimal - nothing too bad. And because you can’t turn off the exhaust fan in the bathroom it was like having a white noise machine. Okay, now the reason for only 3 stars. These are my cons, The lighting situation is atrocious. Every time you swipe into the room ALL the lights turn on. It’s a cool feature upon first entering the room but it’s less great when one person gets up early to go to the gym or get coffee and wants to return to the room without disturbing the other occupant. And yes, I asked if there was a way to turn this function off. I asked 4 different people and was told it’s not possible and no one had ever asked about it before. The lighting switches are also ridiculous. They look cool and funky because they’re little back-lit buttons. Within 5 minutes of being in the room a button got stuck - which is how I met maintenance. Nice guy showed me how to fix the issue, which was great because I had to fix it a few more times. Smaller light complaint, there are no bedside lights, only bright as day lights directly over the bed, which turn on automatically when you enter the room. The bathroom is encased in opaque glass, which means if someone uses the bathroom in the night and turns on the light the whole room is illuminated. It was startling to say the least. Minor but still a light thing, because the light buttons are back lit, the room is never totally dark. There was a set of buttons right by the head of my bed and it was annoying to say the least. And lastly, the beds and chairs in the room are really low. This wasn’t an issue for us, but I certainly couldn’t take my mom to stay there. At the same time the towel hooks in the bathroom are at 6ft. Not a con, but just a heads up, the roof top club is very popular. It’s mayhem getting into the hotel on a Friday/Saturday, but makes for excellent people watching.

The hotel its self at first glance appears to be high end but the quality is lacking immensely. The rooms are TINY and everything is so low to the ground. The bed is on the ground, the chair is on the ground. Two people can’t pass each other in the rooms. The sound proofing is horrendous. You can hear everything outside and out in the hallway. The bar staff is very hit or miss, our first night the bar staff was nice, welcoming and attentive but the last two times we had a female who couldn’t look away from her book and was visibly annoyed anytime we needed anything. On top of the unwelcoming bar tender we got the most horrific food poising from this place. We were held up in our room the last two days of our trip with fevers, raging head aches, body aches and throwing up. I know it was this place because we got sick the morning after we ate the food and it was the only time my husband and I had the same meal. I did like the location, it’s close to Chelsea market and was easy to get down into the main parts of the city but for me it doesn’t outweigh the bad parts of the hotel. I would not stay or eat here again.

I recently stayed at this hotel during a business trip and found it conveniently located near Chelsea Market and several shops—a definite plus for its location. However, my experience with the room left much to be desired. Initially, the minibar in my room wasn’t working. After reporting the issue, I waited over an hour without receiving any updates. Frustrated, I went to the lobby to follow up, only to be informed that they couldn’t find a replacement fridge. Eventually, they moved me to a different room. Unfortunately, the new room wasn’t much better—there was an audible creak from the bed coils, the soundproofing was poor, making hallway noise disruptive, and there was a noticeable lack of toiletries. While the hotel offers a good location and reasonable pricing, the quality of the accommodations didn’t meet my expectations. I likely wouldn’t stay here again, but it might be a decent option for European travelers seeking convenience on a budget. Also a bit outdated on the furniture and cabinets, I saw a white lamp that I bought in Amazon for like $20 didn’t expect to see it in a Hyatt Hotel
