Celebrated my friend’s birthday here and it was luxury. Starting off, the rooms are so beautiful and can only really be described as what I’ll call “Glam Rock”. A mix of rock and roll and delicate beauty. Really enjoyed myself here and especially walking through all the floors and hallways at night. Sometimes you can feel a chill in the air. Talking to some of the residents here was cool too. Definitely will be back and I love the service here. The staff is friendly and helpful but also let you explore and do your own thing which is cool. Not uptight and annoying. Excited to come back.

Feb 26, 2025 · JasonIt's cute, and I love the vintage movie theme. However, if you like Hyatt Express and 24/7 coffee, cable TV, and elevators this place might be a little too old school for your liking. But the people who work at the front desk are just awesome, and its not crowded at all.
Mar 21, 2025 · Kathryn GreeneWe recently stayed at The Hotel Chelsea and were quite disappointed with our stay! As it’s such an iconic, well known hotel with a great reputation we were really looking forward to our stay and couldn’t wait to see it in person! We arrived to the hotel and had no help with our luggage (travelling from London so we had big cases and were extremely tired), we weren’t greeted by any hotel staff and our check in consisted of them taking payment, handing us our key and sending us up to our room with not much else! Nothing welcoming us, no information and it felt like they couldn’t get us checked in and out of reception quicker! That evening when showering, we found multiple bugs/flies on the wall/ceiling in our shower, which we reported to reception! They fixed this issue, but never after this asked if everything was okay or if the issue had been resolved! During our whole stay, not once did anyone ask how we were getting on or if we needed anything! Something you’d expect from a hotel at this price point! The room is big and spacious, but the whole feel of the hotel overall is a bit strange! I would go as far to say that I wouldn’t describe it as a hotel, more as an apartment block! We walked into the champagne bar for a drink, only to be greeted to a room with absolutely no atmosphere, no music and we were expected to pay $30 a cocktail for it! Absolutely not! There isn’t really any level of service from the staff, they give you your key at the front desk and then you don’t hear back from them until you give your key back at the end of your stay! Considering the hotel is charging over $500 per night I would say this is extremely steep and overall it feels like you’ve rented a self catering apartment in a block! The hotel interior is lovely, has a very old school NY look, but if you’re looking for a luxury hotel where you get your moneys worth and receive a high end level of service to match the price, this isn’t the place for you!
Dec 31, 2024 · Molly TaylorStayed here on a business trip in Feb 25. The hotel was renovated while keeping it's original style. Comfy bed, nice shower, and above all wonderful service. I arrived at 7:30AM directly from the airport, and with a smile, the receptionist sent me to my room. No early entry fee, no please wait, nothing. This is going above and beyond for your customers. I was always greeted with a smile. That says a lot. Location is superb, close to everything.
Mar 05, 2025 · Shai PalThis might actually be the best hotel in Manhattan, as they say. It is definitely my new favorite. I’ve spent two night here and am absolutely in love. It’s eclectic, interesting, warm, and beautiful. Every detail from the service to the decor has been carefully thought out. I stayed in the Chelsea Suite and didn’t want to leave. It’s stunning.
