Hyatt Place New York / Chelsea

My recent 4-day stay at the Hyatt Place in Chelsea offered a solid experience with some notable highlights and minor drawbacks. The rooms are impressive—modern, surprisingly spacious by NYC standards, and meticulously maintained. Cleanliness is clearly a priority here, with everything from the bathroom to the bedding in excellent condition. The true showstopper, however, was the view. Simply stunning! Waking up to that NYC skyline each morning was truly breathtaking and worth every penny. Breakfast was included in our stay and proved to be more than adequate. The selection offered enough variety to keep us satisfied throughout our visit, making for a convenient start to each day of exploring the city. There were a couple of minor issues worth noting. The ventilation system noise was quite loud—something to consider if you're a light sleeper. It created a constant background hum that proved somewhat disruptive during the night. Additionally, be prepared for what I'd call "the elevator rush" between 8-9 AM. During this peak time, you might find yourself waiting longer than expected to get downstairs, so plan accordingly if you have morning commitments. Despite these small inconveniences, the Hyatt Place Chelsea provided excellent value with its prime location, clean accommodations, and those unforgettable views. I had an amazing experience at this hotel in New York! From the moment I checked in, the staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, always going out of their way to make me feel welcome. The room was spotless, beautifully decorated, and very comfortable, with an amazing view of the city. The location is perfect—close to major attractions, great restaurants, and with easy access to public transportation. The breakfast exceeded my expectations, offering a wide variety of fresh and delicious options. I highly recommend this hotel and would definitely stay here again!

l love the Hyatt Place New York/Chelsea. I stay here often as it is conveniently located to an event that I attend every two months. The staff is great and the rooms are very nice. I always reserve a King bed room. I get a city view on a high floor. Nice view of the Empire State Building and the surrounding area both day and night. The closet space is minimal however and there is no makeup mirror so best to bring your own. The 2nd floor bar restaurant rocks. The complimentary breakfast is sumptuous and the atmosphere and decor very festive and beautiful. There is also a great area on the first floor for buying snacks, drinks, even beer! I love staying here. Wifi and charging USB connections are great. Love the shower. Bathroom is small but still great. I love Hyatt Place!

Great Hotel! Upon our request for the best possible view, not only did they accommodate us, but they also upgraded our room category at no additional cost. The rooms were modern and very clean, thanks to the daily housekeeping service which made sure they looked like new every time we returned in the evening. The staff were consistently friendly and helpful, addressing any questions or requests we had. During peak times, the elevator wait could be up to 10 minutes, with frequent stops on multiple floors, which obviously is quite annoying. Breakfast was also only satisfactory but not great. Nevertheless, amazing overall experience, especially in regards the hotel's central location. Can definitely recommend!

This is a great hotel with modern, clean New York-style rooms. It was very easy to get to from the 1-line station on 23rd street which also gives you plenty of travel options throughout the city. The lobby was tastefully appointed and the front desk employee was extremely welcoming and able to have me checked-in and on my way to my room within minutes. The rest of the staff that I interacted with was similarly friendly and helpful, especially Gary the General Manager. Some of the older hotels are harder to navigate with bad signage which was not a problem at this property. Once in the room, the first thing I noticed was the awesome view of downtown. The bed and desk chair were very comfortable and while closet space was at a premium it easily handled everything I brought. The bathroom is hidden behind a sliding door at the foot of the bed and it is bright and spacious enough. The shower gets hot quickly and has very good water pressure. Overall, I was very impressed with this new property and look forward to staying with them again.
