Hilton New York Fashion District

Very challenging stay. The night manager “allowed” me to check out 2 days early so I could go and stay at another Hilton hotel in New York City. Construction on the hotel impacted every aspect of the stay from noise during the day so loud that I could not take a business call from my room to a lobby that was like checking into a FEMA emergency shelter. The situation appeared to impact the morale of some staff to the point that they simply no longer cared. When checking out early, I was asked “how is your stay going” by a manger in the elevator. I tried to explain challenges during my stay but the response was just “I was just asking to be polite.” Well, don’t ask if you don’t really want to know. I paid $30 to have 1 shirt launder - pricy but I needed it. You think at that price that includes a $10 deliver fee that it would be delivered to my room. Nope, had to go to makeshift lobby while someone searched for my laundry late at night. I needed to wear it next morning. I paid full price to stay in a 1 star situation. I have a lot more to say but will stop. I checked out early and went to Hilton Times Square for the remainder of my stay. The experience there was as expected from a Hilton property and I enjoyed that stay - at least I could work and not feel like I was in a FEMA shelter.

Had a great 4-night stay at this hotel in New York. We were pleasantly surprised to have a newly refurbished room on the 22nd floor with fantastic city views, including the Empire State Building. The room was well done, and the bathroom was modern and clean. The location was excellent, within walking distance of Times Square and very close to subway stations, making it easy to get around. Reception staff were friendly and held our bags on the final day, which was really helpful. All in all, a great stay, would definitely recommend!

Nice hotel with a great location — clean, warm, and comfortable with good beds and pillows. However, the primary purpose of a hotel is to provide guests with a good night's rest, which requires a certain level of quiet. Unfortunately, that was not the case here. Our neighbors were absolutely wild — slamming doors in the middle of the night, again and again. To make matters worse, the AC was noisy. At the very least, a hotel should have noise-suppressing doors, as is common in many places. Here, there was a noticeable gap between the door and the floor, allowing every sound from the corridor to seep into the room.

The staff was friendly enough, however, prior to arriving, I should have been informed that the hotel was under construction. So for three days, I got to listen to hammering, nailing,sawing, drilling and yelling. All of this made it impossible to do any sort of business while I was in New York City. Second, since they had done a complete remodel in the hotel, which apparently they had maybe they should have added some insulation between the rooms because I could hear the conversation of the room next-door to me as clear as if they were in my own room. This reservation was made through Booking.com and they made no mention of the construction going on during my stay so I hold Booking.com just as responsible for a Terrible visit as I do the Hilton Hotel because neither of them mentioned anything about construction, which took up one of the elevators all day long so that there were only two available for a 22 story building which made wait times unreasonable at best. I would not recommend this hotel for anyone simply because they’re not committed to customer service. Neither they nor Booking.com have taken their responsibility as a customer service company with the importance that it should be given. When did companies stop caring about doing their job and providing customer service in a meaningful way because both of these companies report to being obligated to the customer when it’s plain to see that all they ar obligated to is the bottom line. Mainly leaving this review to recognize amazing service at the Front Desk and at the restaurant on the main floor. Martha at the front desk, went above and beyond during a very busy time, while David and Stephen at the F&B outlet, gave superior service, made an excellent cocktail and were just all around really good people. The rooms were outdated, but because of the excellent service, I would return again ✨
