If you are looking for a fair priced hotel in Chelsea, this is it. It is centrally located, near many places to eat, and easy walking distance to shopping. The staff is super nice and very accommodating. The breakfast bar rocks with giant bakery muffins and bagels. It's an older building, but the rooms are well maintained and very clean. I highly recommend the Chelsea Savoy for a night or a week!

Mar 18, 2025 · Kevin CochraneThe rooms at Chelsea Savoy Hotel are spacious and clean, and given the location, the price is reasonable. One big plus is that Times Square is truly just a 20-minute walk away. However, the noise level in the rooms is unbearable. Of course, being in this area, some noise is expected, but the windows are so poorly insulated that you hear absolutely everything—car horns, police sirens, engines revving, and general street noise. If you stay here, bring earplugs! Another major downside is the breakfast, which is really disappointing. There is no buffet; instead, a staff member hands out dry bagels or toast upon request. You can also ask for a muffin, and that’s about it. Coffee is served in plastic cups, and there are no other options. Definitely not worth considering as a proper breakfast. On top of that, the toilet flush is ridiculously loud—so loud that it wakes you up immediately if someone uses it at night. I wouldn’t book this hotel again, but since we are only staying for three days, it was manageable.
Feb 23, 2025 · Hans MayerDecent hotel. Great location with walking distance to many things or close to subway. More affordable than other options nearby. The carpets were old so being slippers or sandals to wear in your room. The space is outdated and in okay shape. My shower head wasn’t great in the bathroom and the tub had some rust, so it’d be nice if they replaced the carpets and updated the bathrooms. They only have bagels and coffee for breakfast. It’s nice for 1-2 days but gets old if you’re staying longer. It worked for us but good to know this stuff going into it
Feb 10, 2025 · Sammy RodrigoThe staff was very friendly and we loved the complimentary bagels, muffins and coffee for breakfast. The hotel is very conveniently located; a close walk from Penn Station and the subway. The interior of the hotel is a bit old-fashioned, but everything was clean. The price was unbeatable compared to other hotels in the area. We would definitely go back!
Jan 12, 2025 · KT JungoGreat hotel in Chelsea. We got a great rate here. The rooms are of course small and the building is older but they have done good updates and the staff is friendly and helpful. Their morning breakfast options are better than many even if it’s just muffins and bagels and coffee. They seemed to be from local shops and were just as good if not better than what I bought around town. Quiet enough rooms considering the extreme sound environment around. Felt safe and secure with someone always at the front desk when we came and went who greeted us. We were early for check in so we spent some time talking to staff. It’s a very demanding job and was good to connect with them and helped to be considerate to the effort of running a hotel in a busy place. Clean rooms. Our bed was very hard but actually didn’t bother me for our 2 nights. Extra pillows may be a request to make. Would stay again. Super close to subway line. Easy to get anywhere in the city from here.
