My partner and I were looking for an elevated hotel experience, located in a cool neighborhood, at a reasonable price. Our expectations at the Standard were not only met but greatly exceeded. I’m very impressed with their assortment of in-hotel dining options, bars, clubs, and room service. We tried the food everywhere and explored the room service menus and were very impressed (late night dinner menu is a life saver). The service at all levels was tremendous. The rooftop club was very nice but be warned the fancy wooden top floor bar room is not open to the public as advertised in the Google images. That was my only disappointment from the entire trip. The rooms were amazing and a corner room afforded us amazing views of the city and the Hudson. The efficiency of their clean up crews is top notch. While every single individual working at the standard was friendly, knowledgeable, and just plain cool, I have to give a shoutout to David at the front door. He might be the backbone of the Standard. His attitude and enthusiasm was such an important factor in our stay. We often found ourselves just hanging out side the hotel chatting with him, making our taxi wait until the conversation was finished. He is a world class person and really provides an exceptional…Standard…for this hotel. Highly recommend a stay here.

The location is unbeatable—right in the heart of the city, making it easy to access key attractions and transportation. Whether exploring nearby spots or commuting around the city, everything felt convenient. On top of that, the staff was exceptional—attentive, friendly, and always ready to help. A perfect stay, and I’ll definitely be returning!

Two free bottles of water were provided with every house keeping service per day. Location is great, close to the city center but not too close. Walking distance to Chelsea Market, water front, restaurants, etc. Overall, highly recommended.

The toilet is separate which would be useful for multiple people. The paint is cracked and peeling in places suggesting a refresh is needed but it’s not terrible. Common areas are too dark, the people in the elevator had problems reading the buttons. The lobby is a bit garish but absolutely serviceable. The location is the best feature. I would come back but not if the rate was significantly more than alternatives.

From the moment I arrived, the staff at this hotel were welcoming, attentive, and genuinely friendly—everything that was missing at my previous hotel. Very understanding staff...great price and location! The check-in process was smooth, and they went out of their way to make sure we felt comfortable. The room was spotless, well-equipped, and incredibly quiet, making it easy to relax after a long day and night. I also loved the amenities, especially the cozy lounge area and the rooftop bar with stunning views. The service here truly stands out, and it’s clear that the staff cares about creating a great experience for their guests. I’ll definitely be returning for my next trip...this is the SPOT!
