Gansevoort Meatpacking NYC

I recently had a one-night stay at the hotel to celebrate my sister’s birthday, and I cannot say enough about the amazing staff. Erica at the front desk warmly greeted us upon our arrival. Her enthusiasm for her job truly shines through, and it made us feel welcome right away. Marcel was also fantastic; he helped us with our bags and was very attentive throughout our stay. Lastly, Aidin, the bartender, absolutely made our night incredible! His service and friendly demeanor added a special touch to our celebration. Thank you to the entire team for making our experience so memorable!

This hotel was amazing. The staff was awesome. The rooms were beautiful. I would highly recommend staying here if you need a place in the meatpacking area can walk to everything.

Overpriced and Underwhelming – Not Worth the Money I recently stayed at this hotel, expecting a luxurious experience, but unfortunately, it fell far short of expectations. To put it simply, this hotel is more in line with a 3-star property, not the upscale destination they claim to be. Let’s start with the service. The staff, while polite on the surface, felt disingenuous and overly rehearsed in their interactions. There was a constant air of "fake friendliness" staff and managers, who seemed more interested in putting on a show for their guests than actually providing any real hospitality. MEATPACKING DISTRICT has lost its touch! When I asked for assistance with a few issues, the responses were either delayed or unhelpful, and the overall vibe felt more like a chain hotel than the “luxury” experience they advertise. As for the food, it was ridiculously overpriced for what it was. I tried dining at the hotel’s main restaurants, Downstairs and Rooftop. Found out that the restaurant and cafes were all the same owners! They were charging different prices for the same options!!! A hamburger downstairs was a different price then a hamburger on the roof... and ITS the SAME OWNERS! SCAM. (FYI- restaurant owners and hotel owners were the same as well) It’s clear the management is trying to capitalize on the location, and charging exorbitant amounts for basic meals is a money grab. NEVER AGAIN! They stated the Hotel was recently updated with new technology since covid. Seemed like everything was an issue.- and we are usually never complainers. The overall experience just didn’t match the hype. I wouldn’t recommend this place. Definitely not worth the money. DONT STAY HERE!

I’ve been to NYC a few times and stayed in Times Square. This time a friend recommended that I stay around Meatpacking and suggested Gansevoort. From the moment I arrived to when I left, it was an absolute wonderful experience, the room was cozy, the staff were amazing and always willing to help. The location of the hotel is perfect for anyone wanting to avoid the hustle and bustle. One member of staff stood of for me - Erika. She went above and beyond to help with anything, always smiling and extremely pleasant. The whole team were amazing but I would say she stood out. I’ll definitely be coming back next year

Kiro, the Manager at Gansevoort Hotel, made my experience exceptional! His warmth, professionalism, and attention to detail created a welcoming and luxurious atmosphere. He truly goes above and beyond—highly recommend! Beautiful views, amenities, and amazing food as well.
