Construction is so loud and goes all night. You can hear it through air pods. The construction shakes the hotel as if there’s an earthquake. No robes or slippers or mini bar or water in the room. You can’t control your own thermostat. I was cold so they brought a space heater. The phone to call is a rotary phone which no one gen z or younger is gonna know how to use. Front desk is not very hospitable. Bed is very comfortable. Coffee in lobby is good. No gym at hotel but Chelsea piers fitness is included and it’s amazing and 5 min walk away.

Mar 07, 2025 · Chelsea ChadwickTL;DR: Terrible hotel rooms lacking basic requirements for a comfortable stay (like heat during winter), poorly managed, grossly overpriced. Go somewhere else. When we arrived late at night, our room's heater was clanking with insane intensity, to the point we couldn't sleep. We requested to move and were placed in a room immediately off the lobby on the first floor. Starting at about 5:30 AM, the lobby (which doubles as a public cafe) was so loud we again couldn't hope to sleep. The doors and walls are paper thin. After a second night of that experience, we couldn't take it and again requested to move. The next room we were placed in had BOTH windows stuck several inches ajar, in the dead of NYC winter, and the heat in the room was completely broken. Maintenance confirmed the heat was broken, and that the last guest had notified them as well but that the front desk hadn't done anything. After waiting nearly 2 hours around 11PM to move out of this frigid room, we were finally placed in a passable room. The room listing included slippers and robes -- not present in any of the 4 rooms we were in. The hot water at times ran tepid. One afternoon, we returned to our room to find it had been serviced and the new sheets on the bed were thoroughly damp, to the point your hair and clothes were wet if you laid down for a minute or two. When contacting management after our stay with regards to the whole nightmare, they entirely ignored us. After hearing nothing for more than a week, I pressed them, and their response was: "We always appreciate hearing feedback about the experience that we provide, and your comments have been taken to heart." Overall a terrible experience for $400/night. Could not advise against this hotel more strongly.
Feb 02, 2025 · Louis KilfoyleBeautiful hotel and cute rooms, but the rooms on the bottom floor are unlivable. Curtains don’t fully close and the flash light outside makes the whole room bright. Additionally the rooms aren’t soundproof so you can hear people and the coffee machine being operated right outside the door. $600 wasted
Nov 14, 2024 · Vivek KumarHotel is old, cold, room is smelly and overall a place that I’ll never stay at again. Staff is friendly but doesn’t seem like they were trained to serve at a “4 star hotel”. Cleaning crew constantly came in the morning to open my door without knocking (you also will not find a “do not disturb” sign to use at all. ) Lastly, the lobby is a coffee shop where a lot of people will hangout and is always crowed & noisy. I did not get any 4 star experience at all and it’s the worst $1k spent/night.

Unfortunately, they put us in their worst room, on the ground floor, just off the lobby. It was an outdated room with no soundproofing whatsoever. We could hear every truck rumble by on the street, the guest in the next room coughing. At 6:40 am the lobby coffee shop started getting ready to open and thus ensued a cacophony of noise: knocking, banging, the hiss of the espresso machine. Dogs barking, people laughing. On top of that, the tub didn’t drain, so I had to stand in two inches of filthy water while showering. With tax, I paid over $600 for this terrible experience. L7 is the worst room I’ve stayed anywhere in Manhattan. If you choose to stay here, do not permit this hotel to put you on the ground floor.
